----------
With the appearance of the intact CP0 members, the colorful boat completed its mission.
When it returned to the present time, its light gradually dimmed, and then it immediately disintegrated into invisible dust, scattering with the wind.
Akira's expression softened slightly.
When Akatsuki was first sold in the Bertomy Passion Kingdom, he knew that CP0 would never overlook it.
Whether it was Graeme or other CP0 agents, someone would come to investigate.
So, he ordered a clone to keep an eye on the group of buyers, locate the CP0 agents among them, and capture their true identities in photos.
Later, Viola, who possesses the Glare-Glare Fruit ability, was copied and monitored the Sabaody Archipelago around the clock.
All for this day!
Once CP0's true identities were exposed, he would act. After eliminating one, he could use his power to take their place.
Although today's capture was just the small-time agent Karami, not Graeme, the main target...
It didn't matter—it was just one more step, one more move.
"How long do you think you can survive in this timeline? Can you feel it?" Akira withdrew his gaze from the fragments of the boat, turning his attention back to the CP0 members and asked.
The ability to "over" allows people who died in reality to be brought back from the past, but it doesn't mean they can remain alive forever.
It's only a temporary existence.
As for how long they can last, it depends on how well Akira develops and controls his "Over" ability.
Akira's ability is currently only at a basic level of development and still has flaws.
The physical exertion Akira experiences when summoning the colorful boat signifies how far it can travel through time and space. The more energy he invests, the further back into the past he can pull someone.
After hearing this, the CP0 members quietly sensed it and quickly responded: "Master, in one month, I will automatically revert into a corpse."
"One month? That should be enough," Akira's eyes glinted, and he nodded, continuing, "Your next task is to lure Graeme to a deserted location and then notify me."
"I understand, Master," the CP0 member replied without hesitation.
"Go now. Your colleagues are likely waiting for you."
"Yes!" The CP0 member stood up immediately and left without another word.
Akira silently sensed the agent's calm presence, and even he had to marvel at it—truly heaven-defying.
The ability called "Over" is the ultimate auxiliary power.
To clarify, it's an upgraded and transcendent version of the Dog-Dog Fruit, Model: Monster Raccoon abilities.
The advantage of the Dog-Dog Fruit, Model: Monster Raccoon is its ability to replicate individuals based on memory.
The reward from the novice gift package included upgraded abilities far beyond the normal level, with the two most important being "memory" and "copying."
The upgrade of "memory" transformed it into "time and space."
The upgrade of "copying" turned it into "pull."
In other words, "Over" allows Akira to retrieve a deceased character from the past, pulling them from the stream of time and space into his present.
The individual brought back is identical to the original, retaining all memories, strength, and abilities.
And, most importantly, they are completely loyal to Akira.
This practicality makes the ability perfect for creating replicas.
The clones vanish either when they run out of physical strength or when fatally injured.
However, the people brought back from the past have no such physical or fatal limitations.
After all, at this point in time and space, the fact remains that the person is dead. This is an unchangeable reality.
The individual who appears now only exists in the past, and in a more serious sense, they are like the living dead.
For instance, if Gage, the heavy axe wielder who ate the Press-Press Fruit, had died, and Akira used his "Over" ability he could send the colorful boat back to a not-so-distant past, retrieve Gage's intact body, and bring him to the present.
In this state, Gage would be uninjured and without any weaknesses.
He could fight with full power for an entire month without needing sleep. Even if within a few hours Fleet Admiral Garp and Fleet Admiral Sengoku might suppress him or tear him apart, leaving him unable to move, Gage would still be incredibly formidable.
To put it simply, it's like Hidan from Naruto—the immortal ninja.
Each character pulled out through "Over" is essentially a pirate version of the immortal Hidan.
However, while Hidan in Naruto is truly immortal, the pirate version has a time limit.
To achieve true immortality, Akira would likely need to upgrade "Over" to its awakened form. Only then might it be possible.
"Thinking back now, if I had chosen this novice gift package when I first became Fleet Admiral...
"I bet I could've pulled most of the Marine generals back from the past."
He chuckled to himself, hands in his pockets, as he walked toward Marineford, continuing to mutter:
"And all the experience points I earned in the future would have to be spent on upgrading this."
Akira remembered that when he was an acting Fleet Admiral, the system didn't account for his position. The novice gift package was only issued based on the condition of becoming a full-time Fleet Admiral.
Out of the three available gift packages:
The first one gave you powerful strength—allowing you to impress and openly control the Marines with your own charisma.
The second gift package was a cheat-like ability—where you could kill the more defiant generals, bring back the obedient ones from the past, and enhance their proficiency to extend their time.
The third gift package contained a stone gate that allowed travel to other worlds—basically, if the Marines didn't listen, you could call for reinforcements from another world.
In the end, Akira chose the cheat package.
It's just that this trick wasn't used on the Marines—it would be used on all members of CP.
...
"Man, what bad luck. Lost all my savings last night. If I'd known better, I wouldn't have gone to that awful casino," one agent grumbled.
"I told you to settle down, but you didn't listen. If you had a wife and kids, you wouldn't be gambling like that anymore."
"Uncle, not everyone is like you, longing for a family. I think being single is just fine," another replied, shrugging.
The CP agents, who had spent the whole night out having fun, gathered at the port at the agreed time.
As they stood around waiting for the others to return, they started chatting and joking around.
At that moment, someone spotted a CP0 member approaching and raised an eyebrow.
"Hey, didn't you hit up Pleasure District last night? I've been eyeing the top girl there for a while. So, how did it go?"
The CP0 member scratched his head and grinned sheepishly, replying, "It was pretty good. My legs were shaky when I left this morning. I'd highly recommend it!"
"Hahahaha, uncle, I wouldn't survive if my wife ever found out!"
"That would be a real shame."
"Don't worry about it, next time take someone else with you, make it a trio!" another joked.
"Haha, I'm good, thanks!" the CP0 member chuckled as he joined in on the banter.
The group laughed and talked under the rising sun, without a care in the world.
No one noticed anything unusual.
No one realized that the smiling CP0 member among them was actually a living dead—a man who had already died.
