Chapter 62: CHAPTER 63
The Valley of the Gods Incident – Aftermath
"Hahahahaha! Everyone, get on board!"
Roger laughed heartily, his voice carrying across the wreckage-strewn island.
"Karp!"
"See you later!"
Standing on the deck of the Oro Jackson, he turned and waved at Garp, who remained seated cross-legged on the ground, arms resting on his knees.
"Damn bastard…"
"Don't let me meet you next time, Roger!"
"Otherwise, I'll arrest you with my own hands!"
Garp's warning was laced with mock ferocity, but his eyes betrayed a deeper, unspoken understanding.
For a fleeting moment, the two locked eyes, a silent acknowledgment of the bond between them—rivals, yet something more.
Then, both men simultaneously noticed figures stirring in the distance.
"Oh? Those guys are still alive…"
Wang Zhi, Silver Axe, and John—three of Rocks D. Xebec's remaining confidants—slowly regained consciousness.
They had suffered grievous injuries during the brutal battle against the combined forces of the Marines and CP0. Even though they had managed to take down several enemies in their desperate counterattack, the effort had left them barely able to stand.
Roger's expression shifted. The usual playful grin faded as he gazed at the three wounded pirates.
"Leave them a ship."
The order was simple but firm.
The Roger Pirates immediately complied, lowering a small emergency boat onto the shore.
Wang Zhi, grim-faced, watched as the Oro Jackson sailed away. Beside him, John clutched his injured ribs, while Silver Axe leaned on him for support.
"Let's go," Wang Zhi muttered.
"It's all over…"
They limped toward the boat, climbed aboard, and drifted into the open sea.
Garp silently observed their departure but made no move to stop them.
From a distance, a squad of Marine elites—Warring States, Zephyr, and Vice Admiral Tsuru—arrived, their faces dark with exhaustion and frustration.
"Dammit!"
"Those bastards got away one by one!"
The approaching marines, led by Fleet Admiral Steel Bone Kong, were livid.
Kong, gripping a Den Den Mushi, barked out an order:
"Karp! Stop those pirates immediately! Do not let them escape!"
"Did you hear me, Garp?! Take any surviving forces and intercept—"
Before Kong could finish, Garp slowly stood up, his battered body casting a long shadow over the charred ground.
Without a word, he tossed the Den Den Mushi onto the ground.
Then, folding his arms, he gazed at the setting sun, where the Oro Jackson was now nothing more than a speck on the horizon.
The Valley of the Gods Sinks
The destruction of the Valley of the Gods was accelerating. The land beneath them—once a place of legend—had been reduced to less than a thousand square meters of unstable ground.
Boom! Boom!
Explosions and collapsing terrain signaled the island's impending demise.
Steel Bone Kong clenched his fists, barely restraining his anger. He had wanted to reprimand Garp, but as he surveyed the battlefield—the countless fallen marines, the scattered corpses of Rocks Pirates and Roger Pirates alike—he held back.
He let out a heavy sigh.
"You did well, Garp," Kong finally said. "Take a rest. Leave the rest to us."
Vice Admiral Tsuru stepped forward, placing a reassuring hand on Garp's shoulder.
Meanwhile, Zephyr scanned the horizon, his fists trembling.
"Several of Rocks' top officers used their Devil Fruits to escape! They're too fast to chase down now!"
Kong exhaled sharply. His eyes, full of resolve, turned toward the receding figure of the Oro Jackson.

"Rocks is dead. Now we have the final say."
His voice was cold and absolute.
"The Valley of the Gods Incident cannot end here."
Kong turned back to his assembled forces.
"Rocks may have fallen, but his remnants are still a massive threat! No matter what, they must be hunted down and brought to justice!"
In the distance, the massive Marine fleet approached the ruins of the battlefield.
Kong wasted no time.
"Tsuru, take Zephyr and a squad of Vice Admirals. Go after the Roger Pirates immediately!"
"Although they're not as monstrous as the Rocks Pirates, their potential is just as dangerous!"
"Take advantage of their injuries and wipe them out while we can!"
Tsuru, unfazed, exhaled a puff of smoke from between her three cigars.
"Understood," she said simply.
She and Zephyr boarded a nearby warship and set sail in pursuit of Roger's crew.
Watching them depart, Kong turned to Vice Admiral Tsuru.
"Tsuru, Garp can't continue fighting after this battle. Take him and the body of Rocks back to Marine Headquarters."
"Once I finish dealing with the remnants on Hive Island, I'll report to the Five Elders personally."
"Rocks may be dead, but his name must be put on trial!"
Tsuru gave a solemn nod.
"I understand, Fleet Admiral."
She glanced at Garp, who remained silent, then at the lifeless body of Rocks D. Xebec.
Kong then turned to Warring States and the other high-ranking marines.
"Next stop—Hive Island."
The Final Hunt Begins – Hive Island
Hive Island—the infamous stronghold of the Rocks Pirates.
Although Rocks was dead, the island still housed his wealth, resources, and loyal remnants. If the survivors of the battle were going anywhere, it was here.
Kong's lips curled into a grim line.
"If we don't end them now, they'll turn the world upside down."
With that, he leaped into the air, using Geppo to land on the deck of a nearby Marine warship.
"Move out!"
The remaining marine forces followed his lead.
The Valley of the Gods Incident had ended in history's shadows. But the world government had already decided—no pirate involved in this battle would be left alive.
A massive fleet, led by Fleet Admiral Steel Bone Kong himself, set sail toward Hive Island.
And just as expected…
On Hive Island, chaos had already begun.
Among the remnants of the Rocks Pirates, Whitebeard, Charlotte Linlin, Kaido, and Golden Lion had all returned.
They weren't just escaping.
They had come back for what Rocks left behind.
