As everyone knows, in the original storyline, there was no overwhelming bombardment after this scene.

Let alone a single cannon, the entire process was controlled manually by Akainu.

Why?

Because it yielded little effect!

This world of pirates operates in a certain way; the Captain is everything, and the Captain is the sky.

Just like how the Revolutionary Army at G-10 didn't understand Luffy, no matter how many crew members died or were injured, as long as the Captain stood, the pirate crew was not finished.

Similarly, it can be inferred that regardless of how many pirates were injured or killed in this bombardment, as long as Whitebeard remained standing, the outcome would have "little effect."

So, why did Sengoku agree to Rowen's extravagant wastefulness?

The answer is quite simple.

Attack the enemy to save oneself!

Would Whitebeard sit back and watch his crew die?

Naturally, the answer is no.

In such a saturated and fierce bombardment, one can imagine his actions… even the smallest loss could weaken Whitebeard. Each time he wasted some stamina now would lighten the burden in the upcoming decisive battle.

Exchanging the power of money for the survival of Marine soldiers was the true purpose of Rowen's two gifts.

As Sun Tzu's Art of War states: ''"Knowing the enemy and knowing oneself, one can fight a hundred battles without danger; knowing the enemy but not oneself, one has a 50-50 chance of winning or losing; not knowing the enemy and not knowing oneself, one is sure to be in peril."''

With Rowen's help, the Marines facing Whitebeard achieved ''"knowing the enemy and knowing oneself."''

In a situation where the enemy's entire operational mode was understood, to not consume his strength was to seek a fair duel.

Ridiculous!!

Mercy does not govern soldiers.

This not only implies not fearing sacrifice and being cautious but also signifies not having a psychological obsession with cleanliness; once a goal is determined, one must stop at nothing to achieve it!

A commander does not need fairness, only victory.

As expected, after the sky was filled with cannon fire, seeing the terrified eyes of the pirates, Whitebeard let out a deep growl and shouted loudly.

"Everyone, gather around me!!"

"Yes, Oyaji!"

"Hurry, come together!"

The pirates were filled with joy and tears. In a critical moment, the most reliable one was indeed Whitebeard.

The Strongest Man In The World, Whitebeard!

"Gūlālālā, what a heavy rain, Sengoku!"

After saying this, Whitebeard paid no mind to the pirates' movements and looked up at the sky.

There were as many as fifty thousand pirates who had come with him, and ensuring that his sons were unharmed depended on what he could do.

With a light chuckle, Whitebeard raised his naginata to waist height, gripping the butt with his left hand, his body slightly sinking as he prepared for action.

''Buzz!''

A sudden earth-shattering ''Buzz!'' rang through the heavens, as a sphere of scorching white light compressed down to the edge of the naginata blade, Whitebeard's arm muscles bulging and veins popping.

"Get lost!!"

With a roar, the earth and sky crumbled!

The sky over Marineford, with its undulating white clouds and azure expanse, shattered like broken glass, instantly filled with cracks.

A terrifying and oppressive aura instantly enveloped everyone, bringing unprecedented shock.

Are we battling against such a monster?

Countless summoned Marine commanders witnessed the might of the "Strongest Man In The World" for the first time, and they were immediately terrified.

In contrast, the Headquarters soldiers, after enduring continuous battles, remained remarkably calm.

Naturally, they were calm (like salted fish)!

After witnessing various monsters in the New World, they understood one thing.

Life is like XX; since we can't resist it, why not wait quietly for death?

After all, if the sky falls, there's someone tall to hold it up.

As Whitebeard unleashed his power, the sky full of white light vanished like a candle blown out by the wind.

Whether it was the specially made cannonballs from the Super Electromagnetic Cannon or the shrapnel from the Plasma Cannon, all were torn apart under this earth-shattering and terrifying Tremor.

As if the earlier scene of destruction and despair had never occurred, the cracks began to heal slowly, revealing a clear blue sky.

"Nice… Oyaji!!"

"Amazing!!"

Coming back to their senses, the pirates who found themselves no longer in life-threatening danger cheered enthusiastically, offering their most respectful shouts to Whitebeard.

"Gūlālālā, it's nothing much, Sengoku!"

Whitebeard slightly gasped, his deep voice resounding across the battlefield, the disdain in his words clear as day.

However, the Marines remained very calm in the face of Whitebeard's provocation.

Repelling a wave of cannon fire wasn't a big deal, because this was just the beginning.

''Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!''

As he spoke, Whitebeard paused, his expression one of disbelief as he looked up at the cannonball rain that once again filled the sky. He had something he wanted to say to Sengoku.

"You old bastard, you really are an evil bastard!"

''Skyquake!!''

Cursing silently in his heart, Whitebeard didn't dare delay. He lifted his naginata once more, preparing to make an empty slash.

''Bang! Rumbling!!!''

This time, the result was no different; ordinary cannon fire posed no threat to a monster like Whitebeard. It was only a matter of whether he was within range, not whether it could do any damage.

However, after shattering the cannonball this time, everyone saw Whitebeard's massive body shudder slightly. As he swayed backward, he only managed to maintain his balance by stomping heavily with his naginata.

"Has his body collapsed to this extent?"

Sengoku's eyes lit up, pondering silently.

But was it unexpected?

Just Rowen's involvement in the battle had already inflicted two heavy blows on Whitebeard!

Once, with a thunder halberd piercing through his chest, and another time forcing him to injure himself to break free.

The momentum had been built up, but it had also worsened his condition.

And then…

''The third wave!''

"It's never-ending!!"

Whitebeard let out a furious grunt, his eyes filled with ferocity.

He wasn't a fool; he clearly understood that Sengoku had figured out his operational mode and was deliberately using cannon fire to force him to act repeatedly.

Who told the current Whitebeard Pirates that he was the only one with such strength? Ace might barely manage it, but he was still kneeling on the execution platform.

The Marines were so overbearing!

If it were the Marines, with the three Admirals and Rowen taking turns, even an exploding cannon wouldn't faze them.

"Oyaji, their aircraft is hovering ten thousand meters in the sky; I'll see how much I can destroy!"

Marco quickly flew to Whitebeard's side. After speaking, he turned around, ready to rush up and stop the Aircraft Force from continuing their bombardment.

If this kept up, it would definitely be Whitebeard who couldn't hold on any longer, and Marco was well aware of this.

"No need!"

Whitebeard stopped him and said, "Remember this, Marco: don't let Sengoku lead you by the nose!"

"Our purpose here is not to accompany Sengoku in testing the Aircraft Force's combat effectiveness."

"Go inform everyone to prepare. This time… we charge out!"

Marco was taken aback by the words but quickly came to his senses.

Indeed, they had no reason to stay put and play defense with the Marines.

The original plan was to raid Bay Port, rescue their people, and leave. Who knew they'd been countered by the enemy and ended up in a hard-fought battle?

''Skyquake!!''

The third Skyquake, and this time Whitebeard unleashed all his power.

The sea surrounding the vast Marineford exploded like it was boiling, and a terrifying Tremor spread through the land, causing many people to lose their balance and fall to the ground.

At the same time, a long white flash shot upward.

The intensely compressed, blazing sword light was wrapped in incredibly concentrated Tremor power, creating an unstoppable brilliant white streak that flickered across the field of vision.

"This is bad; his real target is the defensive iron plate!"

Using the Heart Network to observe the entire battlefield, Rowen noticed something everyone else was focused on— the white flash. Only he realized that a wave of Tremor energy was distorting space, striking the iron plate just before the white streak vanished.

As the words fell, an explosion and the sound of twisted steel echoed painfully.

''Bang!!''

The three-meter-thick iron plate couldn't withstand even a second against the Tremor, exploding on the spot.

"Sleep well, Little Oars."

Whitebeard's calm voice emerged from the smoke and debris, and then, under the astonished gaze of the Marine soldiers, he stepped forward, onto the vast square directly in front of the Bay Port and Headquarters fortress.

Then, Whitebeard took a deep breath, his Haoshoku Haki erupting wildly, like a god or a demon.

"Sengoku, are you ready?!"

"Prepare for war!!!"

The true top-level battle was just beginning!
