"What is this thing? We didn't see it during the previous battle."

"Doesn't matter what it is, just fight!"

"For the liberation of this country, for the happiness of its people, charge!"

The revolutionaries launched a renewed assault.

This time, however, the citizens wouldn't welcome them with open arms.

They knew these rebels would take what they could and leave nothing behind, only deepening their poverty.

Unlike their king, these rebels showed no concern for their well-being.

This time, the citizens spontaneously came out to cheer on their soldiers.

But they were met not with ordinary soldiers, but with mechanical ones.

These soldiers moved with surprising agility, proving devastatingly effective against the revolutionaries' ordinary fighters.

Dragon, observing from the rear, fell into deep thought. He hadn't expected his counterattack to be so ineffective.

More importantly, he had no idea what these mechanical soldiers were.

"Sabo, go test them out. See what they can do," Dragon ordered.

"Yes, sir!"

Following Dragon's orders, Sabo charged towards the mechanical soldiers.

Dragon was intensely curious about these soldiers.

Understanding their origins could save him considerable funds during future conquests, freeing up resources for other purposes.

Sabo reached the battlefield, still littered with debris. He approached a standard mechanical soldier, his hand forming a dragon claw, striking with Busoshoku Haki.

Bang!

The mechanical soldier was instantly reduced to scrap metal.

But Sabo's Observation Haki warned him of imminent danger.

Without hesitation, Sabo leaped back. A laser beam flashed where he'd been standing.

Boom!

The laser exploded, creating a massive blast.

Debris struck Sabo's cheek, leaving a bloody gash.

"Impressive," Sabo muttered, astonished. Even with his preparation, he would have been injured if hit by the laser.

The technology behind this power was astounding.

Turning to see the source of the laser, Sabo's eyes widened.

The machine was far larger than he'd anticipated.

"Since you're here, let's see what you've got," Sabo said, his eyes narrowed in concentration.

He was going all out.

Sabo crouched, then exploded forward, the ground cracking beneath his feet.

He formed a dragon claw and lunged at the large robot, which resembled a hulking warrior, its metallic surface gleaming, its palm equipped with a laser emitter.

The laser charged rapidly.

As Sabo charged, the laser fired.

Swoosh!

Sabo, his arms coated in Armament Haki, shattered the laser beam with his bare hands.

The laser exploded, but Sabo pressed his attack.

Smoke billowed. Sabo burst through, his cloak billowing behind him. He closed in on the robot.

As Sabo neared, the robot's chest cavity opened, revealing numerous gun barrels.

Rat-tat-tat!

A hail of bullets rained down, but Sabo deflected them all.

"It hurts, but I can take it," Sabo grunted, slamming his dragon claw into the robot.

Screech!

Sabo's attack tore through the robot's outer shell, but the robot remained functional. It aimed its palm at Sabo's abdomen, charging a laser.

Boom!

A massive explosion rocked Sabo's abdomen. Dust billowed around him.

Sabo gasped. He hadn't expected the robot to counterattack so effectively.

Thanks to his Observation Haki, he'd anticipated the attack and protected his abdomen with Armament Haki.

Even so, he felt intense burning. The robot was incredibly powerful.

Taking a deep breath, Sabo renewed his assault.

He finally managed to destroy the upgraded robot.

"It wasn't that strong, really," Sabo muttered to himself.

But as he spoke, ten more advanced robots emerged. Sabo froze. He hadn't anticipated such a large number of these robots.

Each one had cost him a considerable effort to defeat. Ten at once…

The robots turned their attention to Sabo.

He felt a sudden chill.

His Observation Haki confirmed that he was completely locked on.

He was at a loss for what to do next.

Just then, a figure appeared before him…
