Chapter 55: Chapter 55: God's Island

Nami, not knowing what she was thinking, looked at Amazon and asked, "Can we not pay?"

To Nami's surprise, Amazon actually nodded. "You don't have to pay."

"There are eight of you, so… express shrimp."

Hearing this, everyone rejoiced.

However, before they could react, a giant crimson shrimp suddenly appeared from beneath the clouds, carrying the Going Merry, and scurried inwards.

But as they departed, a sinister smile appeared on Amazon's sour-plum-like face. She took out a camera, snapped a photo, and then said to the sky, "All-powerful Priests and Divine Soldiers, there are eight illegal immigrants. Please give them divine retribution."

A moment later, the express shrimp, pulling the Going Merry like a sharp arrow, broke through layers of cloud sea and arrived at a completely new place.

The express shrimp flung them onto the cloud sea and then quietly sank into the depths, disappearing without a trace.

Watching the express shrimp vanish, Zoro scratched his head. "Hey~ how do we drop this anchor? There's no seabed here, right?"

"Just drop it wherever," Shin'ya walked over, picked up the anchor from Zoro's hand, and threw it down. "We're in the sky now — where would there be a seabed? Just toss it."

Luffy and Usopp, like two excited huskies, leaped from the ship without hesitation, jumping towards the island below.

However, perhaps due to their excessive excitement, they stumbled when they landed.

"Ow!" Usopp cried out, but then was surprised to find the ground incredibly soft, like cotton.

He struggled to get up, excitedly shouting, "Wow~ the ground of this island is so soft, it doesn't hurt at all!"

Hearing Usopp, Luffy immediately bounced up and happily agreed. "Yeah, yeah, it's so soft and comfy!" The two hugged each other like children, bouncing and laughing.

Chopper, still on the ship, saw them having so much fun and couldn't resist. He took a few quick steps and, like Luffy and Usopp, leaped down, shouting excitedly, "Ahaha~ I wanna play too, I wanna play too!"

At that moment, Nami stretched lazily, then turned to Robin and asked with a smile, "I'm going to change clothes, Robin, wanna come?"

Robin smiled and nodded. "Sure, let's go."

But just as they were about to leave, Sanji suddenly appeared like a ghost from the side, following them closely, grinning. "Nami-san, Robin-san, let me help you."

Without a word, Nami punched Sanji directly on the head, snapping, "No need, get lost!"

"Aye!" Sanji, dazed by the hit, wandered back to the deck dejectedly.

"Hehe, pervy cook," Zoro mocked, grinning at Sanji's big bump.

A moment later, Sanji snapped out of it and looked at the three below. "Look at those idiots, so excited. Can't be helped."

He took off his shoes and jumped down. "Yo-ho~~ I'm coming too~"

"Aren't you the same? What a pain," Zoro muttered irritably.

Shin'ya picked up a few boxes of wine and came to Zoro's side. "There's a small pavilion over there. Let's drink."

"Alright~ let's go, let's go, let's drink," Zoro agreed.

The two jumped off the ship and made their way to the pavilion.

They sat there drinking while watching Luffy and the others go wild.

Luffy climbed a tree like a monkey, picked a pumpkin-like fruit, and took a bite. With a clang, two of his teeth flew out.

Chopper rolled around in the clouds, having a blast. Usopp was building a snowman out of clouds, completely absorbed.

Sanji walked back and forth on the beach, picking flowers and eagerly delivering them to Robin and Nami.

After a while, a pink fox approached Zoro.

Zoro casually picked it up by the scruff and chuckled. "Where'd this little guy come from?" Just as he was about to set it down—

A melodious harp tune floated in on the wind, interrupting the playful atmosphere. Everyone turned toward the sound.

They saw an angelic girl with pure white wings and pale yellow hair tied into twin braids, carrying a harp as she walked toward them.

"An angel!" Usopp's eyes bulged.

Luffy and the others were stunned.

Sanji's eyes turned to hearts, steam shooting from his nose. "Angel-san~ Oh, Angel-san, look at me!"

The angelic girl smiled and greeted them. "Heso~ Are you people from the Blue Sea?"

Luffy scratched his head, puzzled. "What does 'heso' mean?"

"It's probably a greeting," Robin guessed.

Luffy lit up. "Heso~~! Yeah, we just came up from the Blue Sea."

Conis nodded, then looked at Zoro. "Swordsman, could you hand me the fox? It's my pet, Suzu."

Zoro passed over the little fox.

Conis cradled Suzu and smiled. "Welcome to Angel Beach in God's Land."

Then she noticed the steel-hard pumpkin in Luffy's hand. "Do you want to drink that?"

Luffy frowned. "Yeah, but this thing's so hard, I can't open it."

Conis smiled, took a small knife, cut a slit at the top, and stuck a straw in. "This kind of coconut's as hard as steel — this is how you open it."

Luffy's face lit up as he grabbed the fruit, took a sip, and cheered, "Delicious~~!"

"Really? Really? I wanna try too!"

"Ah~ delicious, delicious~~"

"Your name's Conis, right? I've got tons of questions for you." Nami swatted Sanji away and approached Conis.

Conis smiled warmly. "Okay, ask away."

Just then, a distant engine roar echoed across the beach, followed by a rough voice. "Heso~ Conis!"

"Dad, heso~"

"What's that thing your father's riding?" Nami's eyes sparkled as she pointed at the approaching waver.

"Ah, that's a waver — it's Sky Island's unique vehicle powered by a Wind Dial," Conis explained.

At that moment, her father, still on the waver, shouted, "Move it, move it! Coming through, ah~~"

Everyone hurriedly dodged aside.

"Whoosh~~ Bang!"

"Ow, holy crap~"

Conis's father crashed straight into a coconut tree.

"Ahaha~ You okay?" he asked, grinning foolishly as he climbed out.

Shin'ya couldn't help but comment. "Does that thing not have brakes? Or do you always stop by crashing?"

"It's got brakes, I'm just bad at using them."

"Can I give it a shot?" Shin'ya asked, eyes shining.

Conis's father nodded and showed him the basics.

Moments later:

"Yo-ho~~ Get hyped, partners~~ The vast horizon is my love~~"

Shin'ya rode the waver at top speed, showing off drifts and backflips.

Luffy's eyes sparkled. "Let me try! I wanna play too!"

After a few rounds, Shin'ya stopped with a dramatic skid. "Luffy, your turn."

Luffy eagerly jumped on, confidently shouting, "Watch me backflip too!"

But the moment he started, the waver shot forward and flipped him into the cloud sea.

He kept trying over and over, stubbornly declaring, "I'll get this, just you wait!"

Eventually, Nami hopped on and sped off in one direction.

After she left, Conis introduced various Dials from her father's basket to the crew, explaining their uses.

Time passed. Nami had been gone for nearly an hour, still not back.

Shin'ya furrowed his brow. "Strange. It's been almost an hour — why isn't Nami back yet?"

"Yeah~ where'd she go? She was just learning to ride the waver," everyone realized at once.

Conis's expression changed as she thought of something. "Oh no — she wouldn't have wandered into God's Island, would she?"

"God's Island?" Everyone was stunned.

Seeing their confusion, Conis explained, "Sky Island's official name is God's Land, ruled by God Enel. It's made up of Angel Island and Upper Yard. Upper Yard is also called God's Island — it's sacred, where God lives. And it's nearby. If she trespasses, she'll be punished."

Luffy's excitement grew. "Partners, let's go see what God's place looks like!"

Zoro grinned. "God? Let's see if he lives up to the title."

The moment Zoro spoke—

"Boom-crack~~!"

A massive lightning bolt shot down toward him.

Conis paled. "Stop! On Sky Island, you can't insult God — he'll hear you and strike with lightning!"

Zoro's expression sharpened. He channeled Haki into Sandai Kitetsu and swung. "One-Sword Style: Thirty-Six Pound Phoenix!"

A blade of compressed air surged out, shattering the lightning apart.
