MTLNOVEL Chapter 4: Life and Dungeons
*Three years later*
A lot happened these years.
After unlocking the galvan powers I decided to study in secret about all science related knowledge fields, from physics and biology, engineering and programming, and everything in between.. I learned it all!
Honestly, the hardest part was hiding in from everyone.
As i was in the late 90's there wasn't that much on the internet so I had to get sneaky and used my powers to hide on the ceiling sometimes.. why you may ask..
Because despite what many fanfics show, this isn't some cartoon where everyone will be okay with a 2 or 3 year old learning about quantum mechanics and advanced biochemistry.
I eventually stopped as i got to the limits of earth's sciences, being level 2 on the universal scale, and started advancing them by myself, I even wrote a few books and published them...
Nothing too crazy, I didn't want humans playing with things beyond their understanding and eventually blow us all up.. so despite having advanced to level 9 by myself, I only published up to level 4 and only in safe branches of science, such as Medicine and energy, so by 2005~2010, earth would be classified as level 3 instead of level 2 like mentioned in the later series.
I even managed to discretely and anonymously secure royalties and patents for my books and discoveries, so money won't be an issue later.

Right now, I was chilling in my room going through my recent reward in detail, despite having eidetic memory and instantly comprehending well...anything i see...
I still like to go slow for fun, as it would be boring otherwise.

Anyway, after using it on a few people of all ages and physics i found out almost no one had any mana except for gwen, but she only has 11 MP, also my stats weren't actually that bad... turns out that for average humans the stats go up by 1 every year until you are 21, then they usually peak there until you're 45~50 and they slowly decline.
As for athletes like runners and bodybuilders, they can't go past 30 in body stats no matter what according to the system... and then there was him...
Honestly I can't even bring myself to be surprised as my brain had already calculated that it was 73% possible even before seeing his stat sheet despite what the system said...

Anyway, I was at school this morning when I saw 2 kids bullying a chubby boy about half their size.
I was going to just go there and talk to them when the system spoke to me.

Huh so I could be stuck there for who knows how long...

Despite my predicament, I didn't panic thanks to my galvan intellect..man, now I know why Azmuth is so arrogant.. in front of this level of brains, everyone seems so stupid it's honestly baffling...hehe
But unlike him, I know what it's like to be human and the way we process and perceived things, so I won't be arrogant like him and won't be as close minded as he was..Imma become the best blend of both galvan smarts and human creativity.

After analyzing the pros and cons for a moment that for me was like hours, I finally decided to accept.

Nothing actually changed except for the silence..I gotta admit.. it was kinda creepy.
I explored the house for a bit but found nothing, I noticed however that the house was surrounded by a faint, almost invisible green barrier.. also, the kitchen, which i know for certain need the groceries dad was gonna bring when he would get home later was stacked with different ingredients.. after a closer look, turns out, it's all a boy my age would need to be healthy and strong..
I had a theory to test, so I picked up an apple...and would you know it, it was replaced by another one immediately, so I guess I won't have to worry about food while here.
Picking a kitchen knife and moving to the sink, I quickly picked a few cleaning products and mixed the right dosage with the right ingredients..Picking up a 9v battery that i turned into a taser when I was 3, I quickly brought it to the mixture, ionizing it and turning it semi-gelatinous.
After I finished, i quickly brought the knife up and slowly coated it with the mixture, slowly turning the metal slightly transparent light blue...
"Thank Murphy the appliances are stainless steel in here or i wouldn't be able to do that."
I experimentally moved the knife to the marble counter, not putting any effort into it..
The moment the blade touched it, there was no resistance and it passed right through, leaving a slightly charred slice through the material.
"Hmm, maybe too much potassium in the mix but...oh well whatever."
Shrugging as i didn't mind the extra power, I simply moved to the front door with my new weapon.
Taking a deep breath to center myself, I opened the door to start my first step to being the hero I always wanted to be.
