Chapter 4: Story 4: Percy Gets Way To Into A story.
Percy was in the Poseidon Cabin, as he was ok th Demi God's Version of the internet made by Hermes, this was the only way the Demi Gods can use the internet and Technology with out having monster find them, as Percy finds a site called Webnovel
Percy: "what is this".
He clicked and see the first recommended story
Percy: "Lord Of The Mystery".
He then saw the first ch and his Dyslexia didn't get actived, as Percy released he can read the story because it was not a real page and a digital page as he started too read the story
4 day later
Leo looked at everyone as he spoke
Leo: "hey has anyone seen Percy in cam"
Jason: "wait he is not on a quest, I thought he was, he has been missing for 4 Day".
Annabeth, who had been sharpening her dagger, immediately looked up. "Wait, what do you mean Percy's missing? No one's seen him for four days?"
Leo: "Yeah, I thought it was weird too, but, y'know, I figured he was off being... Percy somewhere."
Frank: "I assumed he was training."
Hazel: "Or napping."
Jason: "Or got lost in the lake somehow."
Annabeth: "You guys are useless! We need to find him!" She rubbed her temples, already feeling a headache forming. "Four days and none of you thought to check?!"
Leo held up his hands. "Hey, hey! In my defense, I once saw him wrestle a literal Minotaur while eating a burrito. I figured he was fine!"
Without wasting another second, Annabeth marched straight to Poseidon's Cabin, practically kicking the door open—only to be greeted by a sight that left her completely speechless.
There was Percy. Sitting on his bed. His eyes were glued to his laptop screen. He hadn't moved. His hair was a mess, he had dark circles under his eyes, and there were at least ten empty cans of nectar beside him.
He didn't even look up when she barged in.
Percy (muttering to himself): "Klein... Klein, bro... No, don't do this, man... No, NOOO!"
Annabeth blinked. Then turned to look at Leo and Jason, who had followed her inside.
Annabeth: "...Is he okay?"
Leo: "Define okay."
Jason cautiously waved a hand in front of Percy's face. No reaction.
Leo poked him with a screwdriver. Still nothing.
Percy just kept staring at the screen, eyes locked, as if he were fighting for his very soul.
Jason: "Percy... are you—"
Percy (suddenly slamming his fists on the table): "NOOOO! KLEIN, YOU FOOL! THIS WAS ALL PART OF HIS PLAN! YOU'VE BEEN TRICKED!"
Annabeth, Leo, and Jason all took a step back.
Annabeth: "Oh gods, he's gone feral."
Leo squinted at the screen. "Lord of the Mysteries? What even is that?"
Annabeth (reading aloud): "'A deep, dark fantasy story with intricate world-building and a Lovecraftian horror theme...' Oh no. Oh no no no. He's stuck."
Leo gasped. "He's too into the story!"
Jason leaned in. "Should we... unplug it?"
Annabeth immediately grabbed his wrist. "Do you want to start a war?!"
Leo nodded. "Yeah, that's basically an act of aggression at this point."
Annabeth sighed and knelt down next to Percy. "Percy, sweetheart, you need to snap out of it."
No response.
She tried again. "Percy, listen to me. I love you, okay? But if you don't stop reading right now, I swear on the River Styx, I will take that laptop and throw it into Tartarus."
Percy blinked. Slowly. His gaze shifted from the screen to Annabeth.
Then, in a voice filled with pure despair—
Percy: "...Amanises is Klein... but Klein is also Amanises... but he's also a Fool... but everyone thinks he's dead... Annabeth... I understand nothing."
Annabeth just groaned and covered her face. "Oh gods, he's completely lost."
Leo scratched his head. "So what's the game plan? Intervention? We could set up a reading ban."
Jason nodded. "Or we could trick him into thinking the Wi-Fi went out."
Annabeth sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose. "No. I have a better idea."
She took a deep breath, leaned in close to Percy's ear, and whispered three words.
Annabeth: "Webnovel is paywalled."
Percy's eyes widened. "NOOO!"
And just like that, the spell was broken.
Leo: "Wait how did he even ready that without his Dyslexia activating Once".
Annabeth: "Dyslexia doesn't work in digital screen".
Few days later.
As it shows Percy on Webnovel now having a healthy reading option
Clarisse: "Ok I was gone for week bur what the hell happened"
Leo: "Oh, you missed a lot. Percy basically ascended to a higher plane of existence via Webnovel addiction."
Clarisse: "What?"
Annabeth: "He discovered that his dyslexia doesn't activate on digital screens. So now he's been reading non-stop, but don't worry—we've managed to get it under control."
Clarisse: "Define 'under control'."
Leo pointed towards Percy, who was now sitting under a tree, reading on his phone with a totally normal amount of enthusiasm. He even had a small book club of younger demigods around him, all listening intently as he narrated stories in dramatic fashion.
Percy (deep narrator voice): "And so, Klein turned his gaze to the gray fog, realizing that his existence itself was but a piece in a grander cosmic chessboard!"
One of the younger campers gasped. "Bro that's deep."
Another wiped a tear. "I'm emotionally invested in Klein now."
Even Nico, standing nearby with crossed arms, muttered, "Okay, I won't lie, that was kinda cool."
Clarisse watched this unfold in silence before turning back to Leo and Annabeth. "So what you're telling me... is that Percy Jackson, the guy who barely reads anything other than prophecies and food menus, is now a full-on bookworm?"
Leo: "Not just a bookworm. A literary prophet."
Annabeth: "At least he's not running around picking fights with gods. This is a good thing."
Clarisse pinched the bridge of her nose. "Whatever. Just let me know when he inevitably starts a cult."
Leo chuckled. "Oh, that already happened. We call ourselves the Church of the Fool."
Clarisse blinked. "...I need another vacation."
Will: "I wonder if he knows about Shadow Slave, or Reverence Insanity".
Annabeth: "He already knows".
Will: "Oh gods... how bad is it?"
Annabeth: "Let's just say he now refers to himself as a Sleeper and has started calling Blackjack 'Nightmare'."
Will: "Oh no."
Before they could say anything else, Percy walked past them, his eyes shining with excitement. He muttered under his breath, clearly lost in his own world.
Percy: "If I had the chance to wield the power of a Dreamer, would I choose the path of a Saint or the madness of a Nightmare? But then again… could I withstand the temptations of the Great River of Reverence…?"
Nico: "What the Hades is he talking about?"
Leo shrugged. "Man's been too deep in Webnovel. He even made a ranking list of powers he'd want in our world. Number one? Shadow Slave's Echo abilities."
Annabeth: "And he's started theory-crafting Reverend Insanity-style schemes for Camp Half-Blood's economy."
Everyone turned and stared at Percy, who was currently sitting on a log, meticulously writing something in a notebook.
Percy: "Alright, so if I create an underground shell organization and manipulate the Drachma supply chain, I could monopolize Nectar distribution and increase my control over camp's trade networks..."
Chiron (in the distance): "Why do I feel an impending sense of doom?"
Clarisse threw her hands up. "I KNEW IT! I KNEW HE'D START A CULT!"
