Chapter 199: Land Shark Pokémon
~Third POV~
[Sinnoh Region, Hours Later, Sunyshore City – Hideouts]
*BOOOOM*
Coming into a nearby building, which consisted of Pokémon Poachers named The Hunters, their members were caught off guard. They looked shocked, seeing a figure emerge from the debris of someone breaking through their building.
*Pop*
A flash of white light, and a Shiny Gengar floated midair, gazing down at the stunned Pokémon Hunters. Azure snapped his fingers as he ordered, "Take them down! Use Psychic to pin them down, Gengar!"
*Shiii*
The moment the words fell, an overwhelming psychic force erupted from Gengar, pinning everyone inside the building to the floor. Many hunters barely had time to register the thought before losing consciousness.
But not all present were weaklings; some with sharp instincts had managed to release Dark, Psychic, or Steel-type Pokémon to withstand the first wave barely. But in doing so, Azure snapped his fingers…
*Snap*
*ZOOOOOM*
Those Pokémon summoned were swiftly brought down in an instant by the blurs of orange, red, and yellow, tackling them with super-effective moves. Each uses Extreme Speed along with a super-effective move.
*BOOOOM*
The power of those 3 was revealed to be Arcanine, Dragonite, and Pikachu. Eevee trotted to his side along with Scizor, acting as Azure's bodyguards as they entered the former HQ of The Hunters.
Picking up his Arc Phone, he gave a call as he spoke to Volkner casually, saying, "I've just about raided the last stronghold of The Hunter bases. How are you guys doing on your end, dealing with the criminal gangs?"
From the other end, Volkner smirked with his arms crossed as he explained casually, "All talk, no show. They've had the number till… well, you let your Legendary Bird go wild on their forces. Not gonna lie… epic as hell."
Walking through the remains of the Hunter base of operation, Azure continued with a sly grin on his face, "Yeah… I mean, it's not like anyone is prepared to go hand-to-hand with a fucking Legendary any day of the week. Especially with using Pressure on them, making them feel weak. But it makes the clean up a whole lot easier, right?"
Volkner's sigh could be heard as a rampaging Flint was heard in the background, "You guys are fucking screwed, you hear me!! Time to burn this place to the ground!!"
Volkner then ended the call as he yelled at his friend in a worried tone, "Sorry, but I gotta take this. Oh god damn it, Flint! Not again!!"
*Beep*
Ending the call, Azure chuckled at the duo's antics as he observed the unconscious Pokémon Hunters, "Those two are a blast. But now this should be the leader's own base, where he resides. I've already got a Protector again by raiding their bases, so if my info is right – "
*Wooosh*
An attack was aimed at Azure's life as a Murkrow lunged in with a steel wing. But before it could land the attack...
*ZAP*
It was attacked by a Thunder Punch from Pikachu as Azure's eyes darted towards the leader, calmly muttering, "Right… the ringleader of this sad place. Senior Bob Uchiha the 13th. Of course – "
The leader of the Pokémon Poachers, the Hunters, roared in outrage, sweating heavily under Azure's Main Team, "Fuck, it is fucker! That isn't my name – You…!! You're the Tenth Pokémon League Champion! Azure Sky!"
Being recognized, he didn't waste any time as he ordered, "Gengar. Hypnosis."
*Pew*
Gengar materialized using Psychic to lock the leader's Poke Balls tightly to ensure they stayed shut. Then, looking into Gengar's eyes, it used Hypnosis to put the leader into a deep sleep along with the rest of the Hunters.
Afterward, Azure cleared out the remaining guards of The Hunters effortlessly. Having tied all of them up and locked their Poke Balls dragged them into a room and safely tied them up under supervision.
Azure didn't trust Gengar not to do something off, tying them. Then he walked towards they're warehouse as he mumbled curiously, "This should be they're warehouse. The leader made sure to safeguard these as they're rare and valuable Pokémon and items within, if Celebi's info is accurate enough."
Having given enough prep time and info, Azure was certain this was the location where The Hunters kept the important valuables. Opening the warehouse greeted them was rows upon rows of Poke Balls.
In the distance, many Pokémon were caged up. As Azure stepped inside, the Pokémon in the cages glared at him with eyes full of hostility.
Azure looked at the scene before him and couldn't help but frown, seeing these Pokémon captured from the Pokémon Hunters. Azure picked up a Poke Ball from the rack as he read the label affixed to it, "Species: Gible. Gender: Male. Ability: Sand Veil. Capture Location: Wayward Cave. Tch… these Hunters leave a bad taste in my mouth."
*Pop*
Opening the Poke Ball, an abnormally large Gible landed down appeared before Azure. The moment it was released, it let out a low, threatening growl, glaring at both Azure and his Pokémon.
Azure's Pokémon didn't flinch at seeing the Gible's reaction. Azure was already used to this kind of reaction as he gently raised his hand, muttering softly, "Don't be afraid… We're here to help."
*Shiii*
Azure activated his Viridian Force and reached out to touch Gible. Feeling the calming energy of the Viridian Force, the agitated Gible gradually relaxed, moving around him, putting on an adorably obedient expression.
Taking out a few Poke Blocks, Azure feeds the Gible as he said happily, "Here ya go, fella. You must be hungry, right?"
Gible took the food and chirped happily, finally getting to eat. Azure summarized, looking at the caged Pokémon, "You guys must be the ones too difficult to tame, locked up by those Poachers."
As soon as Azure approached the captured Pokémon in the cages glared at him with hostility and anger. He sighed helplessly as he asked his Pokémon to speak to the others, and he used his Viridian Force to calm them down as well as break open the cages.
By breaking them out of the cages, Azure unleashed his Viridian Force while taking out a bag of Poke Blocks, distributing them to the Pokémon drawn to his aura. To others, soothing Pokémon that had been mistreated by Hunters might have been extremely difficult.
But for someone like Azure, who possessed the Viridian Force, it wasn't even a challenge. Along with his Pokémon, sharing their experiences helped settle them down. After calming them down, he proceeded to check the Warehouse.
Observing another room, his expression shifted to a smirk as he found what he was looking for, proudly saying, "Jackpot. Seems like the leader was hiding these out from the rest of the Pokémon here…"
Opening another room revealed a room filled with Pokémon Eggs. By using [Observe] on them, Azure can determine which Pokémon Eggs the Hunters had stolen to be safely secure here.
Upon noticing them, Azure used his [Observe] to see which Pokémon Eggs caught his eye. He smiled, finding one that caught his attention, reading the name carefully.
[Pokémon Egg (Deino (M))]
Seeing the Pokémon Egg of the Deino in the Egg Incubator, he took it, claiming his prize as he examined the other Eggs, as he muttered, "Alright! I'm taking this little guy with us. But the next question is… nope."
Azure slowly frowned, seeing that they're wasn't any Pokémon Egg that interested him. He sighed helplessly as he muttered, "I was hoping to find a Ralts Egg or another Pseudo-Legendary, but I suppose I can't be picky either."
Just as Azure was leaving with the Deino's Egg, a certain Pokémon was waiting for him that surprised him. He blinked, mildly surprised to see the Gible he had helped before coming back, as he asked curiously, "Oh? You came to me, huh? Do you need something?"
Gible pointed at Dragonite near him as it roared, "Graaa!"
Confused Azure decided to place a hand over its head as it read Gible's thoughts. He blinked, reading through Gible's memories.
It was frankly quite short as Gible was recently captured a few days ago for its potential when The Hunters robbed it from its clan. But now, witnessing another stronger Dragon, its Dragonite, it wishes to follow Azure along with its fellow Dragon for safety.
Azure slyly smiled, rubbing Gible's head as he agreed in a soft tone, "Sure thing, little guy. I wouldn't mind having a future Garchomp on the team."
Grabbing an empty Poké Ball from his belt, he knelt to Gible's level. Gible bonked its head on the Poké Ball as it was sucked inside. It did tilt once, twice, and thrice till…
*BON*
The capture sound was completed, making Azure smile. He grasped the Poke Ball in his hand and, using his Arc Phone, read Gible's info and status.
[Gible the Land Shark Pokémon. In the past, Gible lived in the tropics. Gible appears to be a good digger, making deep holes for homes in caverns warmed by geothermal heat. This heated environment allows Gible to survive even during the winter.
It has also been seen huddling with other members of its species to stave off the cold, although it enjoys play-fighting with them as well. Gible is typically sighted in rocky areas, such as mountains.
Gible has tremendously strong jaws that it uses to bite enemies and prey alike, dragging the latter back into its nest. However, even while biting, it often hurts itself because of clumsiness.
This sometimes causes its teeth to chip and fall off in the process, but Gible is never bothered by this because the teeth will grow back after a few days. Gible is capable of eating through most types of metal.]
|Name: Gible [Alpha] (Land Shark Pokémon)
|Type: Dragon/Ground
|Level: 8
|Gender: Male
|Held Item: None
|Ability: Sand Veil
|Nature: Bashful
|Moves: Tackle, Twister, Sand Tomb, Sand Attack, Dragon Rage, Sandstorm (IM), Dragon Breath (IM), Outrage (EM) (0 Moves left to learn)
Azure took a moment to pause, seeing a new emblem on the mark near Gible's name. He blinked as he muttered to himself, "The hell…? This is an [Alpha] Pokémon. Guess I'm getting lucky today…"
Azure was curious to see this tag near Gible. It was the first for he encountered an [Alpha] Pokémon throughout his time journeying as a trainer. Pressing the tab Azure, read the contents of what this meant for an [Alpha] Pokémon.
=====
[Alpha] – is a term used to describe an Alpha Pokémon. They are larger-than-normal Pokémon that appear in the wild with increased combat capabilities. However, they're VERY rare to encounter, with possible multiple Inherited Moves passed down their bloodline of the species to be apex.
=====
Azure raised an eyebrow, finishing reading the words as he muttered happily, "So this little guy is going to be a future powerhouse, huh? Now that's something worthwhile coming here to Sinnoh."
While pondering this, Azure made sure to take the Deino Egg as he secured the area. With that, he began to clean up the place, looting any valuable items for finders keepers…

[Sinnoh Region, Hours Later, Sunyshore City]
After a few hours, people started taking the criminal gang members and poachers, tying them up. After they woke up, Officer Jenny and the police force arrived and handled the situation.
Office Jenny immediately told them they would never get to see the light of day after the stunts they had done. After that, she summoned some people and had them taken away to receive a proper punishment.
Then she went over to Azure, Volkner, and Flint and thanked all three of them for stopping them. Everyone in the city was also cheering and around giving their thanks as Jenny bowed, saying respectfully, "I didn't expect the Champion of the Tenth Pokémon League to step in himself."
And that immediately got people surprised to hear he was the Champion. Azure waved it off as he stated calmly, "It's nothing, Officer Jenny. I've heard from these two about the situation in Sunyshore City and decided to lend a hand, and besides, I got something out of this whole ordeal."
Monitoring the Pokémon Egg in his grasp, Officer Jenny nodded her head as she said calmly, "I see. At the very least, the Pokémon Association from the Sinnoh Region would like to thank you for your service!"
Azure simply nodded as Volkner and Flint went to him. Volkner was the first to respond in a thankful tone, "Thanks to you, we managed to help reclaim our Hometown. You have my thanks, Sky."
Flint smirked, nodding his head, agreeing with Volkner as he said excitedly, "Yeah, man! With your Legendary Pokémon, you made all those goons pissed themselves on the spot! It was awesome, as was hilarious!"
Azure chuckled at their words as he responded casually, gazing upon the Sunyshore City in a curious voice, "Yeah, it'll take a while before your guy's city becomes normal again. But I get the feeling you two will be just fine, right?"
Both nodded as Flint chimes in happily as he said proudly, "Right! Are you planning on staying around?"
Azure, hearing this, shook his head as he sighed helplessly, rubbing the back of his head, replying nonchalantly, "Hehehe… naw I gotta return to Kanto. I promised the Prof. that I would help in his search discovering new Mega Evolution and plans to make with the Silph Co. You know, teaching new moves and profit."
Both nodded sadly but understood Azure's importance to his other jobs and priorities. Azure himself would've loved to stay around, but he had other business to attend to that needed his attention.
With that, Azure began to make his trip back to Kanto. He smiled, carrying with him a new member of his growing family…
