Pokémon Adventures: GAMER PATH

Chapter 205: Hisui (5) [Bonus]

~Third POV~

[Hisui Region, Alabaster Icelands – Bonechill Wastes]

Within moments, she arrived, recalling Braviary mid-flight and dropping down over a few meters, landing effortlessly in front of Azure. She beamed happily as she introduced herself excitedly, "Hi~! I'm Akari, a fellow traveler! I currently live in Jubilife Village as a member of the Galaxy Expedition Team, working on the very first Pokedex!"

Akiri circled Azure excitedly before taking out her Arc Phone, confirming that he was indeed another Arceus chosen traveler. Her smile widened as she said excitedly, "I never thought I'd meet another modern-day person after all this time! This is amazing!"

Azure simply nodded as his Pokémon were guarded. But seeing Azure's calm attitude didn't react as he offered a brief, friendly introduction, "I'm Azure Sky, from Viridian City in Kanto. I have just arrived in this world for a few weeks now. The Pokémon here are… different from what I know."

Akari's eyes lit up, but her excitement faded slightly as she replied to Azure's response, "No way! You're far from home, but… when the great Sinnoh deity, Arceus, summoned me, I hadn't even received my first Pokémon yet. All I had with me were my clothes and my phone. If only I had brought a Pokedex…"

She sighed helplessly. Azure thought for a moment, raising his Arc Phone as he asked casually, "If that's the case… how about I send you the Pokedex App from my Arc Phone. You should be able to download it via connecting them, right?"

Akari's eyes lit up as she nodded her head excitedly, "Seriously! Heck yeah!"

*Beep*

Both began to investigate their Arc Phones as Azure sent data from the Pokedex App into Akari's Arc Phone. Her eyes widened, shaking excitedly, "Whoa…! With this amount of data, I can help smooth the process of creating the Hisuiain Pokedex!"

By then, the two began to discuss the differences between their respective Pokémon worlds. Akari then mumbled curiously, "So you and I aren't from the same world… but now that I know the person causing the issues, it should be easier to report back."

Azure raised an eyebrow hearing that, as Akari explained of a foreigner had been sighted around the Hisui Region. But what caught his attention was using Pokémon they'd never seen before, relating to the Clan's Noble Pokémon, Arcanine, and an unidentified orange flying Pokémon.

The last sighting of him was heading North of Hisui in the Alabaster Icelands. Realizing why Akari was sent to find out, she grinned as she said excitedly, "Either way, for now, I've got to introduce you to Rei, Prof. Laventon, and Irida!"

It was rare enough for Akari to meet another traveler from the future. And to hear him brought a bit of happiness for her, as Azure said calmly, "I suppose it's time to meet the locals. You lead the way, miss. Return you two and… come out Dragonite!"

*Pop*

Recalling both his Arcanine and Gengar, Azure hurled his other Poke Ball. Akari's eyes widened, seeing a Dragonite appear, giving a proud roar, "Draooo!"

Akari's eyes widened as she saw a Dragonite gushing over it, "You have a Dragonite! No wonder those descriptions sounded so familiar!"

Riding on the back of Dragonite, Akari called out her Hisuian Braviary to fly into the air freely. Both flapped their wings as Akari led the way, excitedly yelling, "Alright! Next stop, Jubilifie Village!"

*Fwp*

Both flapped they're wings as they soared across the sky. Azure calmly thought, seeing the Hisui Region, 'I wonder what they're thoughts on me are going to come down to. Not friendly, I bet, but… well, who knows how they'll react.'

Shrugging his shoulders, if the situation were bad, he could get out with Celebi's help. And if the situation escalates, he still has Ho-Oh to power through if things get bad.

[Hisui Region, Minutes Later, Jubilife Village – Galaxy HQ]

After traveling for a few minutes on their mounts, Azure finally arrived at their destination. When they flew passed the final hill, Jubilife Village spread out below them.

Jubilife Village. It was more a fortified town than a village, surrounded by a sturdy wooden palisade. Inside, rustic buildings bustled with people in matching Galaxy Team uniforms.

It was a frontier town, a bastion of humanity in a world that did not yet belong to them. With Akari's vouching for him, Azure was granted entry into the village. As they walked through the main gate, a wave of whispers and stares followed them.

Azure's modern attire and his freely walking Pokémon made him an instant spectacle. People pointed at his vibrant jacket, the strange material of his boots, and the perfectly spherical Poké Balls on his belt.

Akari began to explain to Azure, introducing him to the village, excitedly pointing to varieties of shops, "This is Jubilife Village, a settlement formed by migrants from various regions… That's the pasture where Pokémon are kept… This is the farm where we grow food to sustain the village. That's the barbershop… the photography studio…"

Azure simply nodded, eyeing the place and people. Ancient architecture, people wearing traditional clothes, and such primitive lifestyles…

Akari led him towards the largest building in the center of the village, the distinctive triple-peaked roof of Galaxy Hall. Akari said softly, stopping before the entrance, her expression was earnest, "We're here. This is the headquarters of Team Galactic, the organization that manages Jubilife Village! If you're planning to stay here long-term, you'll need the approval of their current leader, Captain Cyllene."

Azure simply nodded as he followed Akari inside the Team Galaxy building. Led by Akari, the two entered the HQ of Team Galactic, where they met Captain Cyllene.

Akari, leading Azure to Captain Cyllene, briefly reported to her calmly and saluted, "Captain Cyllene, I've managed to find the person that Team Galaxy mentioned! I've brought the person here! He's… a Traveler, like me. From a different time."

Cyllene's gaze, sharp and assessing, fixed on Azure. Captain Cyllene eyed Azure, surprised to see Pikachu and Eevee. She was fascinated by Pikachu and Eevee, who stood freely beside him without a hint of aggression.

Azure noticed this as he smiled calmly, introducing himself lightheartedly, "Nice to meet you, Captain Cyllene. I'm Azure Sky, just a traveler with my partners Pikachu and Eevee. Pleasure to meet you."

After a show of goodwill, Cyllene gave him a scrutinizing look. Her gaze paused for a few seconds on him. She scrutinized his uniform, his calm demeanor, and the strange devices on his belt. She mused, a flicker of surprise in her eyes, quickly masked, "Another one? And what brings you to Hisui, 'Traveler'?"

Azure met her gaze evenly. He smiled slightly as he stated his purpose, "I came to learn about this region's Pokémon. I mean no harm. My abilities, and those of my Pokémon, could perhaps be an asset to your Survey Corps."

Cyllene steepled her fingers, her expression unreadable. She glanced briefly at the girl as she finally said sternly, "A bold claim, Sky. But if you truly possess knowledge of Pokémon beyond our understanding, that could be useful. Akari vouches for you, and her judgment has proven sound thus far. Very well. For now, you may reside in the village. But any… peculiarities on your part will be met with the full force of the Galaxy Team."

Azure replied, a hint of relief in his voice, replying respectfully, "Understood, Captain. And thank you for your trust."

Akari, beaming, practically dragged Azure through the busy hallways to a large, cluttered laboratory at the back of the building. The room was filled with diagrams, specimens, and strange contraptions.

A portly man with wild, dark hair and an infectious enthusiasm was poring over a stack of notes, occasionally glancing at a young man with a focused expression, who was dissecting a Lum berry.

Akari exclaimed, her voice buzzing with excitement, bursting through the room, "Professor Laventon! Rei! Look who I found!"

Professor Laventon looked up, his spectacles perched on his nose, his eyes immediately lighting up at the sight of Azure's unfamiliar attire. Rei, quieter and more observant, simply stared, his uniform like Akari's when she first came to Hisui.

Professor Laventon boomed, adjusting his glasses eyes widened as he saw Azure's Pokémon, excitedly exclaimed, "Akari, my dear! And who is this intriguing fellow? His garments are most… unique! And a Pikachu! My goodness, I've only seen illustrations drawn by Akari!"

Akari puffed her chest out as she announced proudly, "Professor, Rei, this is Azure Sky. He's a Trainer – from the future. Just like me!"

A gasp escaped Laventon's lips. He practically bounced with excitement as he asked a series of questions excitedly, "Another Traveler! Fascinating! Utterly fascinating! Tell me, Master Sky, what wonders has your time wrought? What Pokémon have you encountered? Are there truly creatures yet undiscovered by our humble efforts?"

Azure offered a polite smile. He glanced at Akari, then back at the Professor as he quickly formulated his words calmly, "Professor, it's a long story. But I can tell you that my time has seen much progress in the understanding of Pokémon. And yes, there are many unique Pokémon out there. Perhaps I can offer a small demonstration?"

Laventon clapped his hands together, his eyes wide with anticipation as he said excitedly, "A demonstration? Splendid! By all means!"

Rei, though silent, leaned forward, clearly intrigued. Azure took a Poké Ball from his belt. He spoke softly first, then released the Poké Ball with a practiced flick, "This Pokémon is a partner of mine. You might have seen its Hisuian form, but perhaps not its… other form."

*Pop*

A flash of light enveloped the room, and then, standing proudly before them, was Azure's Arcanine. It was magnificent: its fur a vibrant orange with striking black stripes, its mane a flowing cream, its eyes keen and intelligent.

It let out a confident bark, its tail wagging gently, oblivious to the profound impact its mere presence was having, "Arf! Wooof!"

Professor Laventon's mouth dropped open, spilling the half-eaten Lum Berry he'd been munching on. Rei's eyes widened to an impossible degree, a look of pure, unadulterated shock etched on his face.

Laventon choked out, his voice a mere whisper, "By the Almighty Sinnoh's whiskers…"

He stumbled backward, nearly toppling a precarious stack of research papers. He mumbled in an excited tone eyeing Azure's Arcanine, "That's… that's an Arcanine! But… but it's not! Not like the noble Warden Arcanine of the Hisui region! Its fur… its markings… It's entirely different from the one here!"

He rushed forward, nearly tripping, circling the majestic Arcanine evolution with frantic, awestruck movements. He quickly said, stunned, "The fur pattern is radically distinct! The flame-like mane is softer, rounder! This is… this is an entirely new discovery! A different form! From your time, you say? How is this possible?"

Rei, regaining his composure slightly, knelt, marveling at the Kanto Arcanine. He muttered in a stunned tone, his voice of sheer disbelief, "It's… so majestic. And big! Bigger than Hisuian Arcanine, almost."

Azure watched their reactions a quiet satisfaction in his heart. This was the first ripple he had caused in the fabric of Hisui, a subtle hint of the wonders yet to be revealed.

Azure nodded his head as he confirmed, his voice calm amidst Laventon's near-hysteria, "Indeed, Professor. Where I come from, this is the form of Arcanine we know. Just as your Hisuian Arcanine is unique to this region, ours is unique to others."

Laventon clutched his head, then burst into a fit of excited laughter. He quickly asked Azure excitedly, "This is monumental! This changes everything! Different forms of the same Pokémon! Oh, the research possibilities! Master Sky, you are a treasure trove of scientific discovery! You must tell me everything! I must document every detail!"

The professor's enthusiasm was infectious, and a warm feeling spread through Azure. He had indeed found a place where his unique knowledge and powerful Pokémon could make a difference, a place where the past and future intertwined, and where the mystery of Pokémon forms was only just beginning to unfold.

But Azure shook his head as he sheepishly said, rubbing the back of his head, "I would but I still must do something about the living arrangements here first. And besides…"

Taking them out of his bag, Azure revealed some Evolutionary Stones. These stones were the ones bought from Celadon's City Department Store, having a few in hand to prepare trade to the people in the past, valuing strength and growth.

Revealing these stones, Azure said casually to Prof. Laventon, getting his attention, "I don't have any money on me at the moment, so I'll use these to cover rent for now."

Professor Laventon was taken aback, seeing this as he agreed, handing him the Evolutionary Stones, "These Evolution Stones! These are way too valuable… I'll gladly take them off your hands for selling them!"

Prof. Laventon paid Azure for the stones, as in a dangerous region like Jubilife Village, anything that could enhance strength was incredibly precious. Knowing this, Azure prepared a few of them to trade for other resources.

Azure smiled as he clasped his hands together. He said excitedly, "Okay! If that's all, we can discuss later if you want, Prof. Laventone, but for now, Akari, can you show me around the place and find a place to sleep for the night?"

Akari nodded with a beaming smile, taking Azure to a place where he could sleep for the night, which just so happened to be near her dorm room. With that, Azure rested for the night…
