Chapter 206: Hisui (6)
~Third POV~
[Hisui Region, Next Day, Jubilife Village – MC's Room]
Now that Azure had a place to stay for the night, the next day soon came. Azure woke up early in the morning and instinctively reached for the head of the bed, grabbing Eevee for a good cuddle.
Eevee blinked, whimpering, being taken advantage of, "Bui? Eveow!"
Kicking its legs fiercely, Pikachu from the other side of the futon woke up. It chirped, seeing Eevee's struggling figure, "Pika… Chu!"
*Zap*
Sending a small zap of electricity at Azure, he fully woke up as he yelped, "Ah! God damn it! I thought we agreed you wouldn't zap me in the morning!"
Managing to wake up, Eevee hopped down safely from his grasp. Shaking itself to clear its fur, Pikachu rubbed the back of its head sheepishly and cried out, "Cha… Pika!"
*Thud*
The next moment, as Azure stepped out, he saw Professor Laventon holding a sweet potato mochi, eagerly greeting him, "Morning, Master Sky!"
He handed over a coin pouch. Seeing Azure's puzzled expression, Prof. Laventon explained, "This is what's left after paying for the room. We made quite a bit selling those Evolution Stones, as it certainly helped the recruits evolve their Pokémon!"
Azure, now understanding the situation, nodded his head, accepting the coin pouch. But then Prof. Laventon asked curiously, "Since you have the time, Azure, now you've decided to stay in Jubilife Village for a while, do you have any plans?"
Hearing the Professor's words, Azure lightly grinned as he stretched his body, replying casually, "Yeah! I do have a plan to do!"
Professor Laventon was caught off guard, "You don't have – wait, what? You do?!"
Azure smiled as his Pikachu and Eevee climbed over his body, "That's right! I'm gonna do something revolutionary to gain some profit while at the same time benefiting everyone! Time to introduce the power of Poke Blocks!"
Azure left soon after, smirking with his Pokémon. Professor Laventon blinked, confused as he muttered excitedly, "Poke Blocks? It must be something in Akari's time that I'm not aware of… now this I gotta see!"

[Hisui Region, Hours Later, Jubilife Village – Market]
Azure used the leftover money to print a batch of flyers, making sure everyone in Jubilife Village knew about the newly founded Poke Block stand booth. He stood with his Pokémon by his side, consisting of Pikachu, Eevee, and Alakazam.
He made sure to feed his Pokémon at the Pasture so as not to draw unwanted attention. His planned work drew attention as the flyer's description was compelling.
But there were always skeptics who doubted it. So before noon, a large crowd had gathered outside the newly set up Poke Block booth.
On a makeshift platform, Azure stood beside a portable Poke Block making machine, facing the curious crowd. He grinned as he declared, "Today marks the beginning of introducing my hometown's latest product! Come one and come all to the Poke Block Booth – "
Someone within the crowd, the Hecklers shouted impatiently, "Cut the speech! We came to see the Poke Blocks!"
Unbothered, Azure smiled as he continued ignoring the hecklers, his pitch, "Since everyone's so eager, I won't keep you in suspense. To prove the authenticity of our recipe, I'll be making Poke Blocks live. I just need a few volunteers to provide some berries. Any takers?"
The crowd glanced at each other. After a brief silence, someone stepped forward in a neutral tone, "I have 2 Petcha and 2 Oran Berries."
The one to come out was Rei. Azure grinned slightly as he took the berries. He said respectfully to him, "Thank you, kind sir! Let me show you how to make these Poke Blocks, folks!"
Azure began to create the Poke Blocks with practiced skill and precision. Washing and processing the ingredients, feeding them into the Pokeblock maker…
*RING*
*DING*
After a flurry of dazzling moves, the machine chimed. Opening the machine, a burst of sweet, fragrant aroma filled the air, instantly stirring up the crowd.
As the crowd began to stir noisily, Azure handed over the Poke Block in his hand to the Team Galaxy Trainer Rei, who had provided the ingredients. Rei looked at the Pokeblock in his hand, sniffed it lightly, then tasted a little himself.
After confirming it was safe, he handed it to his Pikachu. Attracted by the scent, Pikachu couldn't wait and gobbled the Pokeblock down.
*Gulp*
The next second, Pikachu's eyes widened as it cried happily, "Pi! Pika! Cha…~"
Rei's eyes widened seeing Pikachu be this affectionate with him as he thought, stunned, 'I don't believe it… Pikachu has always been difficult, but… seeing this, the Poke Blocks work!'
The Team Galaxy Trainers' eyes widened seeing this. They knew that Rei had difficulty commanding or getting along with his Pikachu, but to see the sudden shift in expression change instantly...
Stunned, they all turned their eyes towards Azure, filled with eagerness. Meeting their fervent gazes, Azure smiled and announced, "Today we have a special of Poke Blocks since this is our opening! Please come right up for any Pokémon Trainers willing to spend some good blocks for their Pokémon happiness!"
From the crowd, one of the Galaxy Captains, Zisu, spoke out curiously, "What's a Pokémon Trainer?"
To the people of Hisui, this was a new term. Hearing this, Azure casually explained to the folks, "Good question, miss! A Pokémon Trainer is what you'd call a 'Beast Tamer.' But instead of saying Tamer, we use Trainer because in my homeland, we believe in a world where Pokémon and People can truly understand each other!"
In the Hisui region, where Pokémon were still widely seen as threats to humans, Azure's words were nothing short of nonsense. But the crowd below immediately burst into debates and discussions.
Some still believed Pokémon were tools or just dangers. However, others who interacted with Pokémon were intrigued by Azure's philosophy, gazing at their partners.
Zisu tried out the Poke Blocks herself, feeding them to her Infernape, much to its joy. Not only her, though the other Galaxy Team Captains took part in the Poke Blocks that Azure created, sensing a shift of unease within them.
They took a deep breath as they all saw Azure being surrounded by his Alakazam, assisting him along with his Eevee and Pikachu. In the end, the Captains decided to return to HQ and report the situation to their Commander Kamado.

[Hisui Region, Nighttime, Jubilife Village – Galaxy HQ]
As Commander Kamado listened to Zisu and Cyllene's reports and examined the Poke Block on his desk, he fell deep into thought as he thought, 'On just a second day of his arrival in Jubilife Village, he had already formed up quite a stir under normal circumstances, Cyllene would've had this troublemaker driven out. But…'
Holding the sample of the Poke Block, he asked cautiously, "Are you sure this works on the Wild Pokémon?"
Captain Cyllene nodded her head, reading the report as she explained bluntly, "Yes, Commander. Before coming back, the Survey Corp members tried to use these against Wild Pokémon."
Zisu, with her, asked, surprised in her tone of disbelief, "Seriously? Don't those Corp members know Wild Pokémon are usually aggressive?"
Cyllene nodded, but she continued explaining for those present to listen bluntly, "Yes. But once they took out the Poke Block, their attitude toward it changed immediately. Even reading it from Rei's perspective…"
Captain Cyllene recounted what had happened during Rei's report. Her expression remained calm, but in her heart, she was still shocked by the Survey Corps' firsthand accounts of the usefulness of the Poke Blocks.
The reports from Rei stated he had chosen a particularly aggressive Starly for the test. Yet as soon as it saw the Poke Block, it immediately gave up attacking him.
Even more surprising from other Survey Corp members' reports, once they offered the Poke Block, the Wild Pokémon expressed affection toward the Survey Corp in a way she had never seen before in the reports.
Judging from the reports, it was far more effective than the smoke bombs or bait that the Galaxy Team had used in the past. Commander Kamado pinched the Pokeblock in his finger, realizing that this might be a crucial tool for their exploration of the Hisui Region, as he was left in deep thought.
As Captain Cyllene and Zusi observed their commander deep in thought, they recalled Azure's words about creating a world where people and Pokémon could coexist in harmony. At the time, they'd dismissed it as naïve.
But then Captain Cyllene recalled a certain fact that Akari reported as she thought curiously, 'A traveler like her. Someone who came from the Space-Time Distortion rift… then his words aren't naïve but rather cold, hard facts.'

[Hisui Region, Meanwhile, Jubilife Village – MC's Room]
Meanwhile, inside the MC's room currently he and Akari were currently discussing with each other being people from the future. Azure explained to Akari how he came to Hisui, making her eyes widen in shock as she exclaimed, "What?! You came here using the Mythical Pokémon Celebi!"
Akari pointed towards the four Pokémon in Azure's room. She pointed at Celebi, Marshadow, Pikachu, and Eevee, all playing around with Pokémon Cards version of Poker with each other, ignoring Akari's shock.
Alakazam was playing the dealer with the four as Azure explained casually, "Yeah… I originally came here to collect Hisuian Pokémon and see if they could be bred in my world, seeing that they're gone from the present."
Akari frowned, hearing this, as it made her frustrated deep down. It was rare enough to meet another person from the future having the means of leaving the past, while she had no way of going back home.
To her, this was completely unfair. But Akari sighed, muttering to herself bitterly, "… Fine. Whatever… if I can't go back, I can't go back. I'll focus on getting stronger, meeting every Pokémon I can, and when I see Arceus again, I'll try to negotiate."
Azure rubbed the back of his head, unsure how to comfort her. So he instead extended a hand as he said casually, "If it helps, you can always come to my world with Celebi's help. At the very least, you wouldn't have to worry about people looking at you funny."
Akari shook her head before cheering up again with a smile, fist bumping into the air as she offered excitedly, "Nah. I promised Professor Laventon to help create the first Pokedex. And if things go well, I might just take you up on that offer."
Changing the topic, Azure blinked as he asked curiously, "Very well then. Wait… how long have you been in Hisui?"
Akari paused a bit before she replied distractedly, checking her Pokedex App, "I think it has been over 11 months, I think… time flies. I've gotten completely used to Hisui now."
*GRUMBLE*
After she finished explaining herself, Akari's stomach growled loudly. She let out an embarrassed laugh, "Guess I'm kind of hungry…"
Hearing this, Azure offered her some of his food he had saved and tossed it to Akari before grabbing some for himself. Akari's eyes sparkled towards Azure as she thanked him, "Whoa! A sandwich! It's been so long since I last had one!"
Akari began to scarf it down in record time. After all this time, there was a sense of nostalgia as she ate her sandwich.
After she finished eating, Akari asked curiously about earlier today, "Ah… that hit the spot. But I've heard you made Poke Blocks, right? You wouldn't – "
*Thud*
Azure tossed her a bag that contained Poke Blocks, along with a recipe book and Poke Block mixer, as he said casually, "Here, take them. You need it more than I do, and you'll probably need it to feed your Pokémon and make a profit. I'm still looking for other Hisuian Pokémon to collect for my future team. Or a few young Alpha Pokémon to raise. Then I suppose I would leave after that."
Akari's eyes widened, hearing this as she contemplated an expression. Taking in a deep breath, she exhaled with a grin as she said happily, "If you're looking for any Pokémon in Hisui, then I'm the gal to ask!"
Azure smiled, hearing this as he asked curiously, getting her attention, "If you're offering… then can you show me where I can find the Hisuian Rufflet, Bergmite, Goomy, Rhyhorn, Petili… to name a few. I can capture them myself, just some info on where to locate them would do."
Akari smirked as she offered where to find certain species of Pokémon he could look for. He nodded as he thanked Akari for her assistance. With that, they discussed a few more things before ultimately heading to their respective rooms to sleep for the night.
