Flame Splitter is an incredibly versatile technique. Although splitting the flame diminishes its power, it offers numerous strategic applications.

For instance, when used with Flame Burst, which typically explodes once, if Lian splits the flame into two streams, they can explode twice, creating a cumulative effect.

Additionally, with Flame Splitter, Lian could now divide the flames into two streams, creating a denser and more potent Fire Spin. This significantly enhanced the move's power.

Using Flame Splitter on Fire Spin marked the first time Lian leveraged his increased Energy Control Rating to amplify a move's effectiveness. Unlike simple instant attacks, Fire Spin dealt sustained damage over time.
