Pokémon: Breeding Simulator

Chapter 234: Pokémon: Breeding Simulator [234]

With an anxious heart, Zoroark slowly finished recounting the entire incident.

Once she had finished, her head sank even lower, completely avoiding Elias's gaze.

She tentatively tried pulling away, as if expecting to be cast aside from his embrace.

She didn't dare imagine what would happen next…

I've messed up so badly this time. Elias is definitely going to be angry, isn't he?

Hearing Zoroark's story, Elias sighed lightly despite being mentally prepared.

How can this fox be so foolish?

"Haven't I told you before not to do something so dangerous?"

He gently tugged at Zoroark's ear, chiding her softly.

Yet his tone carried no real severity.

"I'm sorry…"

Still, Zoroark lowered her head even further, squeezing her eyes shut.

Seeing her trembling nervously, Elias didn't continue.

While Zoroark's actions were reckless, he couldn't truly be angry.

She had genuinely done her best.

Unfortunately, Giratina was simply too cunning. Even Elias might have failed to notice Giratina had tampered with the [Origin Ball].

Besides…

Because of the deal with Arceus, he knew that their remaining time together would be less than a day.

"All right, come on, I'm not mad at you."

Thinking this, Elias gently lifted Zoroark's chin, comforting her softly.

"Re-really?"

"You're not… abandoning me?"

Zoroark hesitated, her voice small, still refusing to look up.

"Really."

Elias patiently reassured her, gently rubbing her back.

Feeling his comforting warmth, Zoroark's heart finally settled.

At least this time, the worst hadn't come true.

Yet…

"Elias… I know this might sound selfish…"

"But, can you leave with me?"

She raised her head, meeting his gaze, eyes still wet with tears.

Though she knew running away was irresponsible, she couldn't bear to see Elias harmed alongside her.

"If you can't…"

"You escape, and I'll try stopping Giratina myself."

After thinking briefly, Zoroark added softly.

Hearing this, Elias paused momentarily, quickly grasping her intention.

"I'll come with you."

He replied calmly.

"No!"

Without a second thought, Zoroark snapped, fur bristling anxiously.

"Don't panic," Elias quickly soothed her, picking up the [Spooky Plate] nearby. "Here, take this and try something."

He gently placed the Plate into her paws.

Bewildered, Zoroark accepted it, not understanding why Elias had chosen this moment to hand it over.

Just this alone wouldn't be enough for her to defeat Giratina…

But suddenly, Zoroark's thoughts were cut short.

She stared down in shock.

The previously ordinary-looking Plate was now glowing brilliantly with white light.

Threads of pure Ghost-type energy linked the Plate directly to her body.

Energy flowed into her steadily.

Like when she'd evolved, Zoroark immediately sensed her power surging dramatically.

She stared blankly, momentarily stunned.

When the glow subsided, the threads snapped apart with a soft crackle.

Now, the Plate she'd always needed to hold floated quietly at her side.

Exactly as Giratina had done before.

Seeing Zoroark had indeed grown stronger, Elias felt relief flicker in his chest.

[The power from this Ghost-type Plate is hers to keep.]

[As for the other Plates later, I'll merely lend them temporarily.]

[Human, remember your promise.]

Arceus's voice echoed clearly in Elias's mind.

Elias subtly nodded.

Zoroark, as a Ghost-type Pokémon, couldn't permanently absorb the other Plates anyway.

Temporary use was more than enough.

"Zoroark, do you feel any discomfort?" Elias asked carefully, just to be safe.

However, before he'd even finished speaking, he was tackled forcefully onto the bed again.

"Elias, you're incredible!"

Zoroark's earlier gloom was entirely replaced by excitement. She rubbed her head affectionately against Elias, eyes sparkling.

She felt it clearly—the pure, potent Ghost-type energy within the Plate.

This surge in strength far surpassed the help she'd received from Regigigas earlier.

She could even sense her lifespan extending dramatically as her power grew.

She had no idea how Elias had achieved this, but—

He was amazing!

"Elias, even if Giratina comes after us now… I'm confident we can escape."

After some thought, Zoroark decided she might still struggle to outright defeat that monster centipede.

"Didn't I just say? We'll seek it out ourselves."

"Don't worry, you can take back the other Plates as well," Elias smiled, pinching her soft cheek gently.

Seeing her enthusiasm, Elias felt pleased as well.

"R-really?"

Zoroark's eyes widened slightly at his words.

We can reclaim all the Plates?

With her newly increased strength and those Plates, perhaps… she genuinely stood a chance against Giratina.

"Then… should we go back and try?"

She suggested hesitantly.

"But Elias… promise you'll stay right beside me, okay?"

Zoroark reminded him anxiously.

"My safety is entirely in your paws," Elias assured her warmly.

Seeing Elias's trusting gaze, Zoroark bit her lip lightly.

This time, she was determined to help Elias properly.

She'd defeat Giratina, become the greatest in Sinnoh, and live peacefully with Elias forever, free from worry.

A hundred years, a thousand years—

Until even the Poké Ball she'd crafted finally broke down, they'd never separate.

[Thanks to your reassurance, Zoroark's spirits have returned.]

[Confirming Giratina's location, the two of you quickly set off toward your destination.]

While teleporting toward Giratina's location, Elias glanced discreetly at his fingertips.

Ever since Zoroark had absorbed the Ghost-type Plate, golden flecks of light had started drifting from his fingertips.

Under the light, they seemed somewhat transparent.

This was probably Arceus's way of ensuring Elias would fulfill their deal.

Clearly, the creator deity wasn't leaving room for loopholes.

Yet Elias felt no bitterness.

Considering the outcome, he should be thankful to Arceus.

But he still didn't know how to break this to Zoroark…

Glancing at Zoroark excitedly trotting beside him, Elias felt a headache slowly forming.
