Chapter 82: Ch-82
[After reluctantly parting with Butterfree…]
Ash and his group were on the road to Tianqing Mountain when, suddenly, a thunderclap echoed through the air.
A saffron-colored figure appeared out of thin air, capturing everyone's attention.
It resembled a saber-toothed tiger, with saffron-colored fur, powerful limbs, and sharp fangs.
On its forehead was a black Oreburgh headdress that extended to cover its nose and mouth. Below the headdress was an X-shaped beard.
Its light blue tail resembled a spark, with its tip shaped like an ember.

"It's here! The final Pokémon of Ho-Oh's Guard, Raikou!" the Dodo announced excitedly.
Raikou—a ferocious Pokémon that arrives with thunder and lightning.
It carries a rain cloud on its back, allowing it to release lightning at any time.
Raikou's lightning-like speed is matched by its ability to unleash immense power through Bolt Strike as it races across the ground. Its thunderous howl can shake both the air and the earth, as if lightning itself had struck from the heavens.
"Yes, it's finally gathered. It seems Raikou is satisfied with Ash and isn't trying to make things difficult for him," Professor Oak said with a smile.
"In that case, we should be meeting Ho-Oh soon, right?" Diantha asked, her expression filled with anticipation.
Although she wasn't a native of the Johto Region, she was thrilled by the possibility.
For her, this would be the first time witnessing the descent of a super-legendary Pokémon.
"Well, if nothing goes wrong, Ash should meet Ho-Oh soon," Chairman Damaranchi agreed, his excitement barely contained.
Audiences worldwide turned their full attention to the unfolding scene.
The Scene Continues…
After meeting Raikou, the Pokémon quickly disappeared. Ash and his group pressed on, eventually encountering an old man who had spent decades searching for Ho-Oh.
The old man introduced himself as Fan Ye.
He immediately recognized Ash as the trainer carrying the Rainbow Feather and one chosen by Ho-Oh.
Eager to assist, Fan Ye guided Ash and his friends to the top of Tianqing Mountain, where they could summon the legendary Pokémon.
With Fan Ye's guidance, they soon reached their destination.
At the mountain's summit, they found a stone that shimmered with rainbow-colored light.
Fan Ye explained: "This is the Rainbow Stone, left behind by Ho-Oh. Legend has it that placing the Rainbow Wing on this stone will summon Ho-Oh. It will sense the wing's presence, create a rainbow in the sky, and descend."

"So, if Ash places the Rainbow Wing on the Rainbow Stone, Ho-Oh will appear? This is incredible!" the Dodo exclaimed, his excitement palpable.
"Exactly. Ash has corrected his past mistakes and is now free of negative emotions, just like Pikachu. This is the final step," Professor Oak confirmed. "Once the Rainbow Wing is placed on the stone, Ho-Oh will descend from the heavens."
The prospect of seeing Ho-Oh sent ripples of excitement through the audience.
Even Matsuba, the Gym Leader of Ecruteak City, couldn't contain his anticipation.
"This is the moment I've been waiting for. If Ash weren't the chosen one, I would have summoned Ho-Oh myself to show it the sincerity of the Johto Region's people."
In the Video…
Under the watchful eyes of the world, Ash approached the Rainbow Stone.
Just as he was about to place the Rainbow Wing, a figure leapt from the shadows—Cross, the original trainer of Charmander.
Having once defeated Ash, Cross was indignant that someone he considered weak had been chosen as the Rainbow Warrior.
He challenged Ash, declaring, "Only the strong deserve to meet Ho-Oh!"
Realizing this was an important obstacle, Ash threw a Poké Ball, releasing Charmeleon.
The stage was set for Charmeleon's revenge battle.
As Charmeleon and Incineroar prepared to fight, a mysterious Pokémon leapt from Ash's shadow onto the rocks, observing the battle.
This Pokémon had a smoky gray body and a helmet-like face with two curved horns and a small central horn.
Its orange-red eyes had yellow pupils, and yellow ovals marked its forehead. Smoke-like tendrils formed a collar around its neck, while lumps adorned its wrists.
The audience gasped in shock.

"What kind of Pokémon is that? I've never seen it before, and it just emerged from Ash's shadow!" Wallace exclaimed.
"It's definitely a Ghost-type Pokémon," the Dodo speculated. "Only a few Pokémon can hide in shadows—Agatha's Gengar comes to mind, along with other Ghost-types."
"If none of the champion trainers here recognize it, it must be a Pokémon from the Alola Region," Diantha concluded, all eyes turning to Professor Kukui.
Kukui observed for a moment before confirming, "That's Marshadow."
He continued: "Marshadow is a mythical Pokémon from the Alola Region with the ability to hide in any shadow. It can mimic the movements and strength of the person it shadows, growing stronger in the process.
"Marshadow once copied the techniques of a boxing master and mastered a secret move. Because it rarely shows itself, it has remained hidden for generations."
The audience was left in awe.
The Phantom Pokémon Marshadow had arrived!
