Pokémon: Rebron as Red, The Strongest Champion

As soon as Dan finished speaking, he and Crobat moved simultaneously. Red and Pidgeot met their advance, and to the surprise of any trainers watching, the battle became twofold: not only were the two Pokémon clashing in the air, but the trainers themselves were now locked in combat on the ground.

"Nice protective gear," Red praised, his psychic power slightly muted. "It can actually negate part of my abilities."

"This is a masterpiece from Dr. Namba, the top researcher in Team Rocket. It was designed to counter psychic users like you!" Dan said confidently.

Although some of Red's psychic power was restricted, Dan hadn't accounted for Red's own unusual physical strength. Red could easily confront the adult man, even fighting him back and forth with pure skill.

The clash between Red's Art of War and Dan's Art of Killing shattered the surrounding walls, and even the nearby equipment sparked as the magnetic field was disrupted.

"A weakness!" Dan sensed an opening. He lunged with his dagger, aiming for a fatal blow.

"Sorry, but I left that opening on purpose," Red said calmly. He ducked under the stab, quickly condensing an Aura Sphere between his hands and slamming it directly into Dan's abdomen.

"Gah—!"

The force of the Aura Sphere made Dan spit blood. Red, not giving up the chase, hit Dan with a flying kick to the chin, sending him flying over ten meters away.

"Did you really think you could stall me?" Red said coldly. "I have no goodwill whatsoever for someone like you, whose hands are stained with Pokémon blood."

Above, Crobat saw its trainer in danger and quickly tried to help, but Pidgeot, who grew stronger with each passing moment, wouldn't let it interfere so easily.

'You'd better stay here quietly!'

Pidgeot let out a resounding cry, transforming into a golden lightning bolt that circled Crobat, trapping it in a Twister before unleashing a relentless Quick Attack.

"Red, leave this to me!"

A soft voice came from behind. Red turned to see Sabrina, the "cold and elegant lady," arriving. She told him to hurry and save Silph Co., and not to be delayed by Dan.

"I'm counting on you, Sabrina!" Red said, and Pidgeot, still in the air, swiftly broke off its attack and flew away with Red.

"Don't worry, I won't disappoint you…" Sabrina nodded shyly, watching him leave.

"Sabrina, the Gym Leader of Saffron City. I didn't expect you to be an enemy of Team Rocket!" Dan said coldly, struggling to his feet. He wiped the blood from his mouth, took out a syringe of painkillers, and injected it firmly into his body before exhaling a long sigh of relief.

"I thought I would get a response to my invitation for you to join Team Rocket, but I didn't expect you to ignore me. How dare you reject Lord Giovanni's appreciation? You are such an ignorant woman!"

"Ignorant woman? You despicable man!"

Dan's words hit a nerve, instantly infuriating Sabrina. Seeing that Red and Pidgeot had left the scene, she no longer needed to maintain her image. She decided to properly teach Dan the true power of a psychic.

"Go, Kadabra!" Sabrina shouted, throwing her Poké Ball.

The released Kadabra immediately used Psychic, seizing control of the Crobat that was trying to fly away. The Poison/Flying-type was doubly weak to Psychic moves, and with Sabrina and Kadabra's minds synchronized, Crobat was completely suppressed.

Red arrived at the room where the Pokémon were being held captive. Pidgeot used Hurricane to defeat the Team Rocket members who dared to resist. Red then threw another Poké Ball, releasing the Blood-Red Gyarados, and ordered it to use Crunch to destroy the cages.

"Everyone, escape quickly! Someone will meet you outside!" Red shouted.

The released Pokémon immediately fled their cages. After a moment of grateful looks toward Red, they disappeared from sight.

Red then ordered Pidgeot to deal with the nearby grunts while he ran to the secret room where the researchers were being held, rescuing all of them.

After freeing the Pokémon and researchers, Red ran to the president's office on the top floor. Pushing open the door, he saw Giovanni, dressed in a black suit with an 'R' emblem on his left chest, calmly admiring the beautiful night view of Saffron City through the window. An assistant beside him was threatening the president of Silph Co. to sign a contract.

"Viridian City Gym Leader… no, it should be Team Rocket's Leader… Giovanni!" Red said calmly, not at all surprised by his appearance.

"Boy from Pallet Town, it seems you're not overly surprised by my true identity. The commotion downstairs was caused by you, wasn't it? As expected of the genius boy who has repeatedly given me headaches!"

Giovanni reluctantly tore his gaze away from the beautiful night scenery and looked directly into Red's eyes. He leisurely walked over to the president. "I am discussing business with the president of Silph Co. Could a child not interrupt the adult world?"

"Business?You are just using force to exhort me!" the president retorted, but under the pressure of Giovanni and Team Rocket's influence, he remained where he was, ready to sign the contract.

"The Dragon-type Elite will arrive soon, and the police dispatched by the League will quickly surround Silph Co. Don't even think about taking the Master Ball!" Red said calmly.

"To be able to defeat my trusted subordinates and reach here, that's commendable. Thanks to you, my plan is ruined, heh heh heh…" Giovanni sneered. "Team Rocket's plan, ruined just because of a mere brat like you…"

"Mr. Giovanni, please leave quickly!" the assistant advised. Since the plan had failed, they needed to abandon Silph Co. to avoid fighting Lance and the arriving police.

"Unfortunately, you have no chance to leave now. No matter how many times, I will eliminate your Team Rocket's boring plans!" Red said, blocking Giovanni, who was about to leave.

"What an impolite brat. Although I wanted to let you go…" Giovanni's expression suddenly turned cold. "It seems I must punish you properly."

The assistant beside him presented a small box containing Giovanni's Poké Balls, opening it for him to choose. The assistant still asked with a puzzled expression, "Lord Giovanni, why are you doing this? He's just a child; there's no need to pay him any attention!"

"He's no ordinary child!" Giovanni took two Poké Balls, looking directly at the fighting spirit in Red's eyes. "He's an arrogant brat who irritates my nerves!"

"Battle!" they both shouted.

Red and Giovanni simultaneously threw two Poké Balls. The Dragon Scale Charizard and the Blood-Red Gyarados entered the battle. The Pokémon Giovanni sent out were Nidoking and Nidoqueen.

"It seems your strength has grown very quickly," Giovanni praised. As a powerful trainer, he could clearly sense the extraordinary strength of Charizard and the Blood-Red Gyarados.

"Roar—!"

The Blood-Red Gyarados roared first, its Intimidate forcibly weakening the attacks of Nidoking and Nidoqueen. Immediately after, Nidoking's eyes turned red as its Rivalry ability was triggered.

Due to the confined space, both sides' Pokémon reached a silent agreement to use close-range moves.

"Nidoking, Megahorn! Nidoqueen, Double Kick!"

"Charizard, use Dragon Claw! Gyarados, use Aqua Tail!"

Charizard's claws were covered in emerald light. Its massive Dragon Claw forcefully withstood Nidoqueen's Double Kick before striking its body.

The Blood-Red Gyarados first lashed out with its tail. Seeing Nidoking's horn emitting a green light, it also changed its own type, halving the power of Megahorn.

"It seems your Gyarados can freely control its own power," Giovanni said calmly, immediately analyzing the situation upon seeing the Blood-Red Gyarados's transformed skin color.
