Chapter 893: Blood Aura
BOOM
The first thing that happened the moment Kent arrived in the realm of blood and chaos was a loud explosion that shook the very sea.
The blood-red sea churned violently, sending ripples that carried a powerful shockwave all around. Kent had to create a red barrier around his body.
Even with his Nirvana body, he barely managed to resist the pressure.
However, no matter the pressure, he only moved back a couple of steps.
Suddenly, from the bottom of the sea, a large, red, and terrifying tome rose, splitting the sea. It appeared with the power of blood oozing from it.
Kent moved a couple more steps back until his back was pressed against the large door.
"Blood Aura," Kent looked at the large time and read the title written in an ancient language that, somehow, he understood.
He looked below, and after a couple of reads, a smile appeared on his face.
"In your face, Chaos. The Blood Aura you so very much wanted me to suffer for has just revealed itself to me. The next time we meet, I will be sure to rub it in your face."
Kent laughed.
Bhaal told him that after learning the Primal Core Formation Diagram, if he somehow managed to form his core, obtaining things that belonged to the Slaughter King wouldn't be too hard.
He didn't say it would be easy; he only said it wouldn't be too difficult. At the moment, Kent knew that he wouldn't be swimming to the bottom of the ocean for a mere technique.
It has revealed itself, and so he was only left with the learning aspect.
He flew into the air and slowly approached the tome, which was oozing a rather potent blood energy. After coming within two meters of it, Kent couldn't approach any closer, or he would risk passing out.
However, he was also within the acceptable distance to learn the technique since he could already sense the tome calling for him to enter the technique space.
He accepted the call, and for a moment, the space around him turned white; then, he was enveloped by a blinding red light filled with blood and carnage.
"What in the hell?" Kent appeared in a red world. Everything about the world was red. However, that wasn't the most striking thing he saw.
Standing inside this red space was a large black statue of a man he knew all too well. It was Bhaal'Khar, the Slaughter King, one of the six true Primordials.
The statue was about 70 km tall, and Kent, who appeared tiny in front of this statue, was hovering several kilometers away from its face.
Suddenly, the eyes on the statue opened red, revealing a powerful killing intent that took hold of Kent. He couldn't even feel his own body as the killing intent overwhelmed him.
"Weak."
Bhaal's arrogant voice spoke through the mouth of the statue, which did not open but was heard by Kent. If it were to open, Kent would probably lose control of his body and might crash into the ground, dying.
But even so, the voice that spoke shook him.
Although it was Bhaal's voice, Kent didn't sense the friendliness from him like he did when he was obtaining the Primal Core Formation Diagram.
"As a true primordial, you should have an aura that can easily kill those four or five realms above you. However, looking at you now, I can boldly say aside from knocking someone in the same realm as you out, you wouldn't be able to do much anymore."
"And whose fault is that?" Kent smirked, though he was still scared like a baby. "I only managed to obtain the Primal Core Formation Diagram a couple of weeks ago out of sheer luck.
Had it not been for luck, I would have ended up using the weak method to form my core. So tell me, Bhaal'Khar, why was that?"
There was a pause, and then Bhaal sneered, "Don't use the Primal Core Formation Diagram as an excuse. You are the primordial Chaos Dragon.
Even without the Primal Core Formation Diagram, you were supposed to have a much stronger aura than the weak one you have on you at the moment.
However, aside from this weak and useless aura that can't even kill a fly, all you have are excuses. I sensed you when you first entered my Blood Realm. Compared to you now, I have to say, you are a disappointment."
For some reason, Kent didn't like being looked down on by this man. However, he was also powerless to do anything.
'Bastard.'
Knowing he would hear him, Kent went ahead and let out his frustration.
"Are you going to teach me the technique or should I just leave?" Kent asked with a frown, but Bhaal said nothing. After a five-minute wait, Kent sighed.
"I promise I won't be such a disappointment when we meet in the future."
Bhaal chuckled as if he wasn't bothered. "Just so you know, this statue of me was when I was a mere Spirit King, just two realms above your current level.
However, at that stage, with this aura you are feeling, Spirit Kings and Sovereigns were insects before me.
The Blood Aura isn't one that can be cultivated while seated in a lotus posture. It demands slaughter — the more you kill, the stronger it gets.
It is a perfect match for the Primal Body Tempering Art, so listen to my advice and slaughter more, for that is the only way you will one day reach the point where nobody can threaten you."
"I will be sure to remember your kind words."
Bhaal, in his statue form, didn't say anything; however, a light flew from the forehead of the statue and entered Kent's forehead.
"It will be ideal to slaughter realms above you. Also, only temper your body with the blood of beasts. I recommend demonic beasts since they have a much more tyrannical presence and chaotic bloods..
That said, every kill counts, so when it is just, go for the kill.
Also, when you are outmatched, find a way to escape, train even more, and come back to kill every last one of them. That is the path of Slaughter, and as the best of us True Primordials, you must learn that early."
"Thank you for your wise words. I will be sure to walk that path of slaughter like how it was meant to be walked."
A wave of cold air blew over Kent's body, and he was back in the Realm of Blood.
The giant terrifying tome dispersed into a spark of red light and flew into the mark that appeared on Kent's forehead.
The moment the last light entered Kent's body, a powerful blood aura burst from his body, sending a wave of primal blood aura shooting far and wide.
He fell into a weird state for a few moments before he regained his senses. When he did, his eyes turned red, and a wave of red mist flew from them.
In that moment, anyone with a weak heart and resolve would collapse if they were to stare Kent in the eye.
However, it got even worse when he turned into his demi-dragon form. His claw now had a red aura coating it, radiating an aura that could cut through anything.
A smile appeared on his face, "We are back in Business."
