Chapter 263: The God of the Mind Realm
The moment she uttered those words, the entire atmosphere around them trembled, causing them to nearly lose their footing.
Rael didn't panic as he met Alene's gaze head-on.
"Are you sure you want to fight right here?" he asked. "If we go all out, then we're likely going to destroy this city, if not half of this country. Your daughters might die as well."
"Do not fear, we won't be fighting out here," Alene replied as she flashed one final look at her two daughters.
And in the very next moment, she snapped her fingers.
The moonlight that had only reached her expanded toward him, causing his vision to darken slightly.
Yet when his vision cleared up, he found himself in a peculiar place that looked completely out of this world.
They stood in a wide expanse of shallow water. The surface shimmered with faint ripples, reflecting the sky above. Stars stretched endlessly across the darkness, and a giant pale full moon hung high between the stars, casting a cold, white glow.
It was eerily silent, with only Alene's soft steps sending ripples throughout the strange domain.
And only now did he realize that unlike Jashin, Alene was the real deal.
But that fact was only solidified further as she slowly began hovering into the air, her hair subtly shifted to a vibrant silver color that perfectly blended with the moon's radiance.
He felt a familiar pulse, and by instinct, took a step to the side.
However, no attack came. Instead, he finally realized where the pulsations were coming from.
It was from none other than the giant moon itself.
Its pulsations continued, and with each one, Alene's body began to change.
At first, it was only her hair. Then a beautiful silver robe replaced her previously regular dress.
And with one final pulse, a staff appeared in her hands, followed by the entire moon domain trembling.
His brows furrowed further when a certain pop-up appeared in front of him.
<Warning!>
<Alene Grandeur has transformed!>
—Alene Grandeur, The Weakened Goddess of the Moon (Grade 2 | King Class) [Level 1] [5,031 Quintillion / 5,031 Quintillion HP]
"Hmm..." Rael's eyes blurred, dazed. Burger, any thoughts?
[You're fucked,] Burger replied plainly. [Grade 1 is still doable for you, but Grade 2 is a no-go. The best idea I can give you is turn on simple HP numbers and pray to Alune she comes to rescue you.]
His brows twitched. She's not coming this time. She's out on an expedition with her father.
Having said that, he did turn on the simple HP option, and immediately, her HP turned into percentages instead of the giant number from earlier.
—Alene Grandeur, The Weakened Goddess of the Moon (Grade 2 | King Class) [Level 1] | Vitality: Tier 10 [100% / 100% HP]
He only partially remembered how the simple HP system worked.
Tier 1: 1 Billion HP to 9.99 Billion HP.
Tier 2: 10 Billion HP to 99.99 Billion HP.
Tier 3: 100 Billion HP to 999.99 Billion HP.
Basically, each HP stage was divided into three tiers, and Alene's current HP fell into Tier 10, HP between 1 Quintillion and 9.99 Quintillion.
By that logic, Rael's HP amount fell into the Tier 4 category.
And that was a little...
I'm fucked.
He took a step back and drew his Violin Blade.
Rael was by no means expecting to fight a Grade 2 being just yet, but he had to deal with it one way or another.
So he started off with the obvious.
<(x1) Human Avatar [(Grade 2 | King Class) [Level 1] has been Threaded!>
<Decreasing Willpower by 4%/sec>
<Synaptic Hijack: Available!>
<Cost: 1,???,0??, MTP>
<It is recommended the user does not use this skill!>
Yeah yeah, I won't, Rael thought and swiftly used Neural Collapse.
[MTP -150 Million | 66,384 Billion / 66,534 Billion] [+58,450 Billion Excess] (x1 Neural Collapse)
-0%! [16,100 Trillion] | Critical Hit x1 (x1 Neural Collapse)
"..." Rael let out a tired sigh as he gazed at Alene, who remained suspended in the air, completely unharmed by one of his strongest attacks.
[Retreat?] Burger suggested.
And go where? I need to deal with her here somehow. Otherwise she's going to send a fucking moon at Celestara, Rael shot back.
But before he could even hit his Violin Blade's Violet String, the water began rippling even more.
All of a sudden, the moon sent out the biggest pulse yet, shooting down straight at Rael.
His eyes widened as he weaved under the pulse in the nick of time, triggering [Phase.]
<[Phase] has been triggered!>
<Your next attack deals 150% more damage>
He teleported into the air, appearing right behind Alene.
But she fully expected his attack.
She raised a hand, then lowered it toward him, almost as if he were a bug.
Rael watched as her giant palm approached, but before it made contact, he decided to take a gamble.
[MTP -1.5 Million | 66,383 Billion / 66,534 Billion] [+58,449 Billion Excess] (x1 Synaptic Hijack)
<Ding!>
<The user's intentions are clear!>
<Switching to: Lethal Synaptic Hijack!>
<Lethal Synaptic Hijack: All attacks made in the mind realm reflect in the real world!>
His vision distorted, and moments later, he found himself in the familiar mind realm.
Yet it was a bit different, as there were giant bubbly clouds floating around.
He soon realized the reason why.
<Your Mind Realm and Dream Realm have been merged!>
<The Mindforged Emperor has all the authority!>
<Entering the hybrid Dream Realm!>
<Invasion type automatically chosen...>
<Invasion type: God>
<God>
<You have become the sole ruler of the active Mind and Dream domain!>
<Special Effects: Unlimited Mental Integrity.>
<Duration: 60s>
<Warning!>
<The recommended usage of such an invasion type is once per year! Extended usage past its limits may severely harm the user's psyche.>
Rael looked at the pop-ups in satisfaction.
The warning was a bit unnerving, still...
His chances were slim, but at least there was now a chance to begin with.
He glanced around and finally found Alene.
She floated at the far end of his mind realm.
To his surprise, wherever she walked, a silver halo in the form of a crown followed her, casting the projection of a giant pale moon above her.
Their gazes met, yet a smirk began to form on his face as he raised a single hand.
And in the next moment...
<Ding!>
<The Mindforged Emperor sees an advantage!>
<All MTP usage converted to Mental Integrity!>
[Mental Integrity -ERROR | Infinite / Infinite (x1 Radiant Transformation)]
<Ding!>
<All stats increase by 143%>
<Crystal-Based Damage increases by 576%>
<Heal 5% of total HP every 3 seconds during transformation>
<All Crystal Constructs within range have their damage increased by 500%>
<Duration: 60s>
[Mental Integrity -60,000,000,000 | Infinite / Infinite (x8,000,000 Absolute Architect)]
<(x4,000,000) Crystallite Sword (Uncommon) has been crafted!>
<(x4,000,000) Chop-E (Rare) has been crafted!>
<Crafting Successful! +46,000,000,000 Skill Experience>
Immediately, millions of Chop-E's appeared, holding Crystallite Swords and aiming them right at Alene in the distance.
Rael floated off the ground, his grin widening.
Thanks to his Crystalline Inheritance Title, his crafted constructs inherited 5% of his stats.
And since he used Radiant Transformation, those stats were...
Fucking chonky.
He tilted his head at Alene, whose smile finally vanished.
"I believe this levels the playing field a bit, don't you think?"
