Reawakening: Primordial Dragon with Limitless Mana

Chapter 86: Uninvited guest

Hades could feel it. Through their connection, Luna was in distress. She wasn't in pain but she was under immense pressure.

She didn't tell much but told him that she needed him by her side now. Someone unexpected had appeared.

Although his mark didn't alert him of any danger to his mate…he couldn't take any risk.

That explains why he was rushing through the cave while carrying Peri in his arms and Beatrice on his back.

"How can you even run at this pace…after your fight?" Beatrice asked in a low whisper as she clung to the young man to whom she had been nothing but a burden

Thinking back on what she did during this whole operation was…just either cry or get injured.

Even during the battle with the golem, all she did was fuel him up with her flames.

She was just a burden to him.

"You were desperate to save your daughter, right?" Hades replied in between his labored breathing as he never stopped running through the dark corridor, before adding, "I am feeling the same right now."

Beatrice heard from him. His mate, that silver-haired girl she briefly saw outside the temple, was in danger.

It took him an hour before Hades finally reached the stairs through which they were pulled in.

He didn't take a moment more than a breath's worth of time before climbing the stairs.

*Tap* *Tap*

Each step was filled with urgency and nervousness. He had no clue what was going on but the fact his Luna was alone out there was enough to make him forget about his physical stress and continue to march forward.

However, upon reaching the entrance of the temple, they had to stop.

"It's…closed?" Beatrice blinked in confusion as she got down from his back and touched the blocked entrance.

Hades gritted his teeth, when suddenly he heard the familiar but very unpleasant voice, "You thought I would let you go this easily?"

He looked down in his arms. Peri was grinning at her, her eyes oceanic blue and mirth evident in those orbs.

Beatrice's shoulders tensed seeing the Goddess taking over her Peri again.

Hades growled at the girl, "Samarella, I don't have time for games. Open this damn door!"

Samarella laughed, "You really think making me your mate would allow you to order me-"

"Samarella," Hades called out, his voice dangerously low. His eyes turned boiling crimson, his pupils thinning into slits and his whole demeanor made the air stuffy.

Samarella stopped smirking before, with a 'hmph', she closed her eyes.

*RUMBLE*

The door began to move to the right, allowing natural light to enter the dark cave.

Hades breathed out in relief as he ushered, "Go on, Beatrice." The Queen nodded before stepping out followed by Hades.

Peri had fainted once again when Samarella backed down.

Getting out, Hades looked around—and found that elven soldiers were all standing there, in a formation. The formation to attack—but not them.

Their spears were directed at the small tent nearby. The archers were on high alert, their arrows ready to pierce through their target.

Hades knew that Luna was in that tent. She had told him about how kindly the elves treated her. But the question was…why were they suddenly being wary of Luna?

"Ralph?" Beatrice asked as her trusted confidant approached, "What's the meaning of this?"

The blond elf sighed, "I am glad to see you three safe…and about this…arrangement, then I suggest you come and see the cause of the disturbance."

Hades turned towards the man, "Is Luna safe? Where is she?"

Ralph answered right away, his gaze lingering on the girl in his arms, "She is in the tent…and safe. It's just the guest who came to see her unsettled us."

Hades could no longer wait. He handed Peri to her mother and told her, "Please take care of her,"

Beatrice was baffled to hear that from him. As her mother, of course, she would.

Regardless, Beatrice nodded before Hades rushed towards the tent.

The soldiers didn't block his path and gave him way to his destination

"Luna-" Hades entered the tent and instantly his voice was caught in his throat.

Luna was safe, he could tell. She was nervous, yes. But uninjured.

It was the being sitting across from her that made him forget how to breathe.

Until he was outside the tent, he couldn't feel anyone other than Luna inside the tent.

But now that he was inside…he could feel it.

The suffocating presence of the black-haired woman sitting across from Luna with a calm expression and sipping what seemed like tea.

Hades ignored the woman and approached his Luna.

"Hades…" Luna got up from the seat and threw herself at him.

For a moment, Hades felt that the woman's aura changed…as if she was oppressed by something. But then, he ignored her and hugged his lover.

"I am sorry for worrying you," he said before planting a kiss on her head, "Are you okay?"

Even when they were hugging, Hades could feel her energy seeping into hism, healing his wounds. Despite her nervousness and the blend of several emotions upon seeing him, she didn't delay in healing him.

"Yes, I am…I am now." She whispered, her voice slightly trembling.

Her warmth finally allowed his heart to regain peace.

That hour he spent returning to her was like hell to him. Knowing his Luna was in danger and him not being around her…it was the worst kind of punishment.

Their sweet moment was soon broken by the voice of the third person, "Young Master,"

Hades frowned…he had heard that before. And why did this woman sound displeased?

"If you can't wait you shouldn't have shown up." He told her, still having his arms around his Luna possessively.

Luna giggled, her face pressed against his chest.

The black-haired seemed a little awkward, lowering her gaze for a moment before she said, "I apologize for the intrusion but this is important."

Hades heaved a sigh before he decided to sit down.

Luna took the seat beside him, her arm hugging his.

"Okay, tell me. Why did a high ranking dragon come all the way to Torseque to meet me."

Luna frowned…she had a feeling but this lady indeed is a dragon.

The violet-eyed woman rested her hands on her lap before asking, "I presume you already know about your origin?"

Hades narrowed his eyes and remained silent.

Luna glanced at him…did he really find out about himself in the temple?

The lady continued, "I have come here in regard to that. I was sent here…by your mother."

"...!"
