Rebirth of the Villainous Female Boss

Chapter 651 - 625: Surrounded by Weird People

Chapter 651: Chapter 625: Surrounded by Weird People

Qiuqiu heaved a helpless sigh when he heard Liu Mei’s question.

“I thought there wouldn’t be any problems, but when I handed in my ID to complete the entry procedures, the school authorities got angry when they saw the gender on it. The principal said that the reason he hired me over you was because he wanted a male teacher, but when they found out that I was a counterfeit, they fired me, saying they were afraid that my gender ambiguity would corrupt the students.”

Qiuqiu had experienced this kind of thing many times before. It was indeed difficult for someone in his situation to find a job. It didn’t matter when he was working part-time before, but when it came to formally searching for a job after graduation, employers required an ID for social security contributions. Many regular places were unwilling to employ him when they saw that his ID showed a female gender while he was actually a male.

Nicer employers would simply ask him not to come, while those of a slightly lower quality would look at him with strange eyes. Sometimes, before Qiuqiu even left, they would gossip about whether he was mentally ill or a pervert. Qiuqiu often heard these kinds of comments.

Although he had become used to it, he still felt frustrated when he came across a job he liked, and everything was suitable, only to be let down for this reason. He wanted to have a drink with his friends.

“Gender ambiguity?” Liu Mei didn’t understand.

Even Weiwei, who was playing a game on her computer, turned her head to look at Qiuqiu curiously.

“Although my heart is that of a man, my body is a woman’s. God made a mistake with my gender. Boss Qian told me that this is called gender dysphoria, but I think it’s fine.”

Qiuqiu has made great progress over the years. With Xiao Qian’s subtle guidance, he can already face his gender regrets very openly, even discussing them in a joking manner.

“Don’t be sad, what you missed must not be suitable for you. The next job will be better, and so will your emotions.” Xiao Qian patted Qiuqiu on the back. Qiuqiu has had a tough couple of years. After missing out on his crush Jingjing, he tried dating a girl but eventually broke up with her for various reasons.

“Ah, buddy, I’m sorry, I didn’t think,” Liu Mei was hearing of this peculiar condition for the first time and didn’t know what to say.

“It’s fine, I’m used to it. This is the path I chose, and since I’m different from others, I have to be prepared to endure this treatment. I even thought about committing suicide when I first met Boss Qian. It really wasn’t worth it.”

Hearing the word “suicide,” Weiwei finally couldn’t help herself.

“Don’t you find it hard to live?”

“Oh, there’s another cute little sister here, are you an adult? Who is she?” Qiuqiu asked Xiao Qian after seeing Weiwei.

“She’s my new younger sister, not an adult yet. Qiuqiu, can you talk to her, just like how I talked to you before?” Xiao Qian thought that Qiuqiu was like a versatile piece in Mahjong, useful wherever it’s needed.

“Sure, Boss Qian. You go buy some grilled skewers, and I’ll take care of things here.” Qiuqiu understood Boss Qian’s hint and realized that this girl must be a patient with some kind of mental illness, and Boss Qian needed his help.

Since Boss Qian saved his life, Qiuqiu would do whatever she asked without any issues.

“Do you find it painful to live because you’re different from the people around you?” Weiwei asked Qiuqiu when they were the only two left in the room.

“At the beginning, it was painful. I was so extreme that I wanted to die, thinking I would never find happiness or the person I wanted.”

“Then why live on? The more I want to live for the people who care about me, the more painful it becomes.” Weiwei said to herself.

“I thought the same at first, but I’m worse off than you. I didn’t have anyone who cared about me. Boss Qian made me understand that if a person isn’t afraid of death, then there’s nothing to fear. I go through heartbreak regularly, and every day I have to endure the misunderstanding looks from people who know my gender secret, but I’m very open about it. I haven’t done anything wrong or hurt anyone. Why should I die? I have to live, in case I meet someone I like someday. Even if I don’t, I’ll have enjoyed the journey along the way.”

Qiuqiu and Weiwei quickly got along and started talking. This wasn’t the first time Qiuqiu had helped Xiao Qian.

Qiuqiu possessed the sunniest side of a man, along with the virtues that a man should have, such as gentleness, consideration, reliability, and empathy. But his female body made him lack the aggression and danger that a man possesses.

So, when Xiao Qian encountered patients with gender issues, like Jingjing or Weiwei, who were afraid of men and had psychological trauma, she would ask Qiuqiu for help. Special Qiuqiu seemed to have a different magnetic field, which could heal these innocent girls who had been hurt by men.

Liu Mei and Xiao Qian were outside buying skewers, with Liu Mei hesitating to speak.

“You want to ask about Qiuqiu?” Xiao Qian saw what she was thinking.

“Yeah… such a good person, how did he end up like this?”

“I can’t figure it out either. Maybe God just likes playing jokes. Honestly, I hope more than anyone that Qiuqiu can find a suitable partner.” Over the years, Xiao Qian also worried about Qiuqiu’s personal issues.

After Jingjing, she felt that Qiuqiu seemed to have never loved anyone else. He helped her heal so many girls, but they all just gave him a “friend card,” which made Boss Qian feel helpless too.

“Welp, it’s a pity that same-sex marriage is not allowed in our country, otherwise I’d marry him.”

“… Stop messing around.”

“I’m not, my boyfriend called yesterday to break up. I can’t get married anymore, so I think Qiuqiu is pretty good. It wouldn’t be bad to live together. Uh, Boss, can you add more chili to the meat skewers?”

Xiao Qian rubbed her forehead. Was there anyone normal around her?

If Qiuqiu had gender dysphoria, then Liu Mei had marriage dysphoria. When she talked about such important topics as breaking up and getting married, she didn’t even sound as serious as when she talked about food.

“Why would your boyfriend suddenly want to break up after he only called you ten times in two years?” Xiao Qian asked Liu Mei.

“Oh, he called yesterday and asked where my household registration was. After I told him, he said he wanted to break up, so let’s do it. Also, Boss, add a couple of chicken wings. Sister-in-law, the more you drink with chicken wings, the better it gets!”

If Xiao Qian didn’t know Liu Mei so well, she would think that her eagerness for food at this moment was to cover up her sadness after the breakup. But that wasn’t the case.

This girl truly valued food more than anything else, even more than her legendary boyfriend.

“Sister-in-law, why do you think he broke up with me?” Liu Mei asked Xiao Qian. She has been dumped, but she doesn’t feel any regret, just curious as to why it happened all of a sudden.

Xiao Qian knew the reason. There was only one reason why someone would not dump her, despite only calling ten times in two years, but suddenly decided to break up now!
