Chapter 235: Essence Pool
'Absorb…' Kael's will stretched wide and far over the settlement.
The Conquering Essence in the atmosphere of the beach settlement reacted to Kael's intent, churning and moving toward his direction.
It was only now that all the Conquering Essence was moving in one direction, could some of the beastly creatures see it.
The faint golden transparent substance rushed toward their king.
Even the pile of beasts at Zod's location also released some Conquering Essence, although it was very small and mostly negligible.
Kael stretches out his two arms, feeling a sensation of bliss as the Essence flows into his body, seeping into his skin, muscles, and blood, before going straight for his heart.
Kael had found no direct use for the Conquering Essence apart from enhancement, Conqueror Mode, and contracts, but he could still feel himself being empowered either way.
The essence pool within him adsorbed and absorbed, seemingly about to reach its maximum capacity limit after Kael had absorbed half of the Conquering Essence in the settlement.
Then, at the limit, when Kael was thinking he wouldn't be able to absorb any more Conquering Essence, his heavenly beacon which has been quiet for most of this time reacted.
*HUUMN!*
The heavenly beacon within him, which was still evolving and fusing with the lion system, hummed to life within him.
The heavenly beacon existed in an ethereal state and space of its own, thereby not really affecting Kael's true body.
As the heavenly beacon chimed to life, its depths opened up, the depths that had been made empty by Kael during his evolution into tier 4.
The heavenly beacon was like a hungry pit that had just been given permission to eat its favorite food.
The Conquering Essence continued flowing toward Kael's direction but it did not settle in his overfull essence pool anymore, instead, the Conquering Essence went straight into his heavenly beacon.
The heavenly beacon was like a separate essence pool for Kael, it absorbed and adsorbed until it couldn't absorb any more.
The heavenly beacon's capacity to store Conquering Essence was roughly equivalent to Kael's personal essence pool.
So now, it was like Kael had two essence pools on standby, another trump card.
'Do the other lion kings have this?' Kael asked himself as he saw that there was little Conquering Essence remaining in the air of the settlement.
It was mostly gone.
'But I'm the only one that can absorb the Conquering Essence, how have they been managing for so long?'
It was an intriguing subject that Kael had to put on hold for now.
He could already feel the Conquering Essence within him trying to join with the rest of his power pools. His fire powers, magic powers, metal powers, and so on.
Kael stopped it from happening, now wasn't the time to test those things out. Thinking this, Kael felt the need to ask Chloe to demonstrate her own enhancement for him.
He was sure that her enhancement would not be as drastic as his own where the color of her wind would change color too. She wasn't an actual Primordial Lion, after all, just borrowing the power to enhance her own power.
Kael turned around to see Commander Bibi, Chloe, and Diane looking at him with fervor in their eyes.
They had just witnessed Kael absorb that strange golden substance, dragging it from all corners of the settlement with his arms wide open as if he were embracing power from the heavens.
The sight of him doing all these under the Iron Blood Shuttle which cast a dark shadow over most of the settlement, was very mesmerizing.
For a very few seconds, very few, they had seen Kael as a god, the one true pillar of the world.
Kael ignored their expressions of fanaticism and said, "I and Chloe will stay here for the night, tomorrow, we'll be going back to the mountain to handle matters personally. Would you like to come with me?" He asked both Commander Bibi and Diane.
Commander Bibi looked at Diane and Diane looked at Kael seriously. She shook her head, "I don't think that's good, we have to wait behind to manage this settlement effectively until Burdo comes.
Our absence may bring chaos and we could lose all we have worked for.
Thank you for your consideration,"
Diane spoke with a grim voice while keeping a sweet smile on her face. The fact that she secretly hoped someone would rebel was known only to her.
She was eager to test out the new power Kael had given her. The little bit of Conquering Essence being
Commander Bibi, seeing his superior had denied the request, nodded in support of her words.
Kael nodded in approval, "Do you need anything while you're here, do you need me to transport anything or you? I have space on the shuttle,"
Kael was genuinely offering help, he felt that if there was something to assist the kingdom in becoming efficient, he had to do it. It was his personal Kingdom after all.
Diane thought for some moment but ended up shaking her head, "There's nothing we need to transport at the moment.
N'bayé has already taken all she thought was of value from here and transported them with our new hover platforms.
Oh, Kael, you should see N'bayé's new inventions, it's like she went into a frenzy with all that stuff…"
Diane started chattering, oblivious to Kael's inner thoughts.
'So, N'bayé made more advancements besides her evolution, that good,' Kael was getting more confident that he had made the right decision bringing N'bayé into his pride.
"Fine then, once I go back, I'll hurry Burdo to come over so that he can relieve you of your duty here. I prefer it when you remain by my side," Kael said with a dark smile.
At his words, Diane paused with her lips slightly parted. A red hue came over her cheeks, unbeknownst to her.
The way she looked at Kael suddenly turned fervent and heated, and Kael knew what she was thinking.
"Commander Bibi, you may leave me, Diane will sleep in the shuttle tonight," Kael said with his eyes gleaming brightly.
Commander didn't even dare to think of any hidden meaning behind Kael's words, "I'll take my leave," He said before running back into the settlement.
He headed straight for the distant pile of wolves, bears, and foxes, maybe he could bully his wolves to give him a piece of that sweet cheetah meat.
Kael was now left with Diane and Chloe. Diane looked out of place as she was the only humanoid among them to still be naked.
Kael eyed her breasts as she walked toward him. Her golden eyes and her light brown eyes met.
She too was seven feet tall in her humanoid form, a trait she inherited from her War lionheart.
She was the only lioness who stood at equal heights with Kael in his humanoid form.
Two golden wings grew out of Kael's back again, stretching to the sides. He placed his hand on Diane's waist, pulling her close to him.
She put up no resistance, even if she wanted to, it would be futile.
"Hope you're not afraid of heights," Kael said with a sly smirk on his face.
Chloe rolled her eyes and spread her wings, preparing to fly as well.
Diane shook her head, "Even if I was scared of heights, I would never admit it," She placed her arms on his broad shoulders and brought her head closer to Kael's face daringly.
"Oh, we shall see about that, I'll take you to heights you've never reached before," Kael said, the meaning of his words plain to her ears. The wind around him picked up as he activated his powers.
Kael flapped his wings and ascended into the sky with Diane in his arms.
Chloe immediately flapped her wings and flew after them.
With Diane in his arms, Kael didn't immediately fly into the shuttle's hatch, instead, he took his time, flying along the sides of the Iron Blood Shuttle.
Kael was performing a strategic romance with Diane. He knew that certain experiences the lionesses shared with him would be ingrained into their minds for a long time.
He would like it if all their happy memories were related to him directly or indirectly. If all of them could only relate happiness with his existence, it would serve as another anchor for their relationship.
This was one of the best methods Kael could remember from those internet love gurus back on earth.
If the relationship between Kael and his consorts could be deeper than what it already was, even though 'somewhat' one-sided, it would be better.
Kael Diane, and Chloe, went a full circle around the Iron Blood Shuttle before Kael finally headed for the open hatch under the Iron Blood Shuttle.
'Oh, I forgot to tell him about Ken,' Diane suddenly thought as they flew straight into the hatch and into the command bridge of the shuttle.
She immediately put the thought at the back of her mind as soon as she saw the interior of the magnificent vessel.
