Chapter 6: Dinner
Reagan had settled on making pork for dinner. It was simple, tasted good and went well with salad and rice.
As Reagan was setting the table Astoria came downstairs in simple pants and a short sleeve shirt,
"Tell me what to do and I'll do it" Astoria said enthusiastically.
She was in a good mood and couldn't wait to help, and so Reagan told Astoria to bring the food to the table while she changed into more comfortable clothes.
When Reagan came back downstairs she was wearing simple clothes that weren't as fancy as her suit.
Astoria was already eating when Reagan sat down,
"Classes start tomorrow. I will walk you to your first class of the day then meet up with you at lunch" Reagan said while eating.
"What if I don't want to eat with you," Astoria responded.
Reagan sighed "unfortunately you don't have a choice, the King said that during the school day I should periodically meet up with you to check that your safe."
Astoria's earlier mood was destroyed and now she was upset, she wanted to yell at Reagan but she knew that it wasn't Reagan's fault,
"well if you insist on eating lunch with me then you have to call me Astoria, not Miss Saint otherwise I won't eat with you!"
Reagan took a moment to consider before responding,
"I'll call you Saint Astoria, it would be disrespectful of me to call you by just your first name" Astoria wanted to argue but after looking at the determined look, on Reagan's face she realized that she wouldn't win the argument so she let it be.
--------------------
Reagan had gotten ready for bed and was nervous. The King didn't want to spend extra money on two beds so there was only one and Reagan didn't like the idea of sharing,
"Saint Astoria, I'll be sleeping in my study" Reagan bowed and tried to leave but Astoria grabbed the back of her nightgown,
"You will not go anywhere! I know you don't want to share a bed but if you are to protect me you need to be well rested so get in bed and sleep" Reagan was debating whether to listen to Astoria or not.
She eventually decided to make a run for it but, Astoria dragged Reagan to the bed and pushed her down, "I already told you that you're not going anywhere so stop trying to escape!"
Reagan didn't say anything but the tips of her ears were red, and Astoria took that as a sign that Reagan understood, so she climbed into bed next to her.
Astoria quickly fell asleep hugging Reagan's arm but Reagan herself was up for a couple more hours, after all she got dragged into bed by the most beautiful person in the kingdom. Reagan doubts that Astoria is the most beautiful person in the kingdom but the author who wrote 'Loving The Saint' said that Astoria was the most beautiful.
