Chapter 29: Points! Points! Points!
Uchiha Tatsumi lay on his bed, heart pounding with excitement. He couldn't hold himself back any longer. With anticipation, he raised his right hand and opened his virtual panel. The display read:
Host: Uchiha Tatsumi

Water Attribute: 0 (0100)
Earth Attribute: 0 (0100)
Yang Attribute: 0 (0100)
Yin Attribute: 0 (0100)
Balance Ninja Points: 27100
Despite having seen these stats numerous times, Tatsumi's excitement was palpable. His ninja points had surged from 600 to 27100 after defeating several opponents. The rush of adrenaline was intoxicating.
At that moment, the system's voice echoed in his mind: "Congratulations, host. You have won all three stages in the school trial and earned the title of Technical Champion. You will now receive 5000 ninja points for completing the mission. Additionally, for completing the first system-released mission, you are rewarded with 3000 ninja points."
"Your current balance is 35,100 ninja points," the system concluded.
Tatsumi grinned. Completing system missions was clearly the most efficient way to amass ninja points. Traditional methods required an age to gather enough points for significant purchases, just like buying a house or a car. Without hesitation, he allocated his ninja points to enhance his Taijutsu.
"Congratulations, host. Your Taijutsu attribute has been upgraded to Level 6. This upgrade significantly enhances your endurance, speed, Clear Sight Ability, and understanding of Taijutsu."
He wasn't done.
"Congratulations, host. Your Taijutsu attribute has been upgraded to Level 7. This further enhances your endurance, speed, Clear Sight Ability, and understanding of Taijutsu."
Tatsumi used another 8000 ninja points to elevate both his Shuriken and Genjutsu levels to 5. Cruelly determined, he boosted his Chakra Attribute, Hand Seal attribute, and Wind, Fire, and Lightning Attributes to Level 4.
His updated panel now looked like this:

Balance Ninja Points: 100
Tatsumi decided against allocating all his points to Taijutsu. Patience was key, and balance was crucial. Overly specializing in one area could make him a target; comprehensive growth was the true path to strength.
Sighing, he realized ninja points were never enough—just like money. When would he be able to accumulate points without effort? He jokingly thought about posting a missing person notice to find a system that would support him, ideally one that was reliable and high-quality.
He was currently only 12,000 ninja points away from reaching Taijutsu Level 8. As just a second-year student, discounting a forced early graduation, he felt confident he could more leisurely achieve this milestone soon. With no immediate threats from the system's cross dressing, lady boss cosplay punishment, he finally sighed in relief.
"Hmph, system. I can escape your evil clutches soon."
"It's okay, host. After you complete this mission, there will be other missions. Don't worry," the system's mechanical voice responded unemotionally.
"So that's how it is," Tatsumi muttered, recognising the system's cunning. "Worthy of the system. No one can match such despicable means."
"Host, please note the correct way to say it is deep strategic planning and foresight."
Tatsumi rolled his eyes and got off the bed. He felt good after allocating his points. A night walk through Konoha seemed like the perfect way to clear his mind and think about things he'd previously overlooked.
For his training, Tatsumi had a perfect plan. Like Minato's usual Chakra refining, he knew that Chakra capacity at his age was limited. Over-refining could be futile and even harmful. At six years old, he had to consider his physical endurance and avoid overtraining, a mistake that he suspected might have contributed to Itachi's terminal illness.
The current Uchiha Tatsumi's body wasn't suitable for constant training. Proper rest was equally important. After releasing the pressure of earning points, he felt incredibly relaxed.
Dressed in his windbreaker, Tatsumi walked slowly towards the village. The quiet night, away from the bustling commercial street, led him along a remote path to Hokage Rock. The famous symbol of Konoha offered an excellent vantage point.
"Huh?" Tatsumi stopped in his tracks. Standing at the intersection was someone unexpected—Hyuga Himeji. Clad in her clan uniform, she stood silently, blocking his path.
"Aiya, Himeji-san, what a coincidence," Tatsumi said, trying to sound casual despite his inner wariness. It was clear Himeji had come to confront him.
Tatsumi secretly channelled his chakra, prepared for anything. His position seemed solid, yet he knew it was a weak spot. Was she here for revenge after their encounter that afternoon? Were there others with her?
Himeji's white pupils stared at him, eerily luminous in the moonlight. Silence stretched between them until Tatsumi couldn't bear it any longer.
"…Can you please tell me, what kind of accident led to us meeting on this remote path?"
"It's just a coincidence," Himeji replied, expressionless.
Tatsumi forced a hearty laugh, "Ah ha ha ha, it must be so."
"Come on now," he thought. "How could we just happen to meet here?"
This was no coincidence.
