Reincarnated into a World Filled with Dungeons, But My Blessing Turned Out to Be the Most Challenging Dungeon

Chapter 10

“What’s wrong, Master?”

The voice rang out, gentle and full of concern, as if worried for me.

“Ha… Am I just that tired? I thought I slept well, but it feels like I’m still dreaming.”

But that couldn’t be right. There was no one else in this Room but me.

After my reincarnation, now hallucinations? I was beginning to worry about the state of my own mind.

“Muuu… Why are you being so mean, Master?”

The somewhat reproachful voice made me stare at the glowing sphere before me.

“You’re embarrassing me, staring at me like that.”

As much as I didn’t want to admit it, it seemed the sphere in front of me was the one speaking.

“Um… can I ask what exactly you are?”

It appeared we could communicate, so I cautiously posed my question.

“I am the Administrator of this place, The World.”

“The World?”

“Yes, the world for you, Master, to govern and command.”

She (it?) spoke as if it were the most natural thing in the world. I decided to dig deeper.

“So, what you’re saying is, my Blessing—the one I’ve been calling Room—is actually this ability called The World, and you’re its Administrator. Is that correct?”

“As expected of Master. Such intelligence!”

“…That felt like sarcasm.”

Judging by her tone, though, it didn’t seem malicious.

“Oh, and by the way, you stepped on me earlier. That was really cruel, you know?”

“Huh? I did?”

“Yes, you did. With your shoes on, no less. You even ground them into me!”

She was probably referring to when I first entered the dungeon. At the time, she’d been just a small orb, but she’d grown considerably since then.

Still, her emotions were surprisingly vivid…

“Uh, sorry about that.”

I apologized for now.

“I forgive you,” she said before falling silent. Observing her behavior piqued my curiosity, so I asked another question.

“By the way, how are you even speaking? You’re just a smooth, crystal-like sphere—no mouth, no vibrations to produce sound.”

“I’m directly transmitting my voice to your brain, Master.”

The answer was far beyond anything I’d imagined. She continued,

“I also scanned your memories and chose a voice you’d find most pleasing to listen to.”

“Ah, that makes sense…”

Now that I thought about it, the voice did feel familiar. It was the same as my favorite voice actress from my old world.

“So, why did you suddenly start talking to me?”

“Suddenly? I’ve been trying to talk to you all along.”

Really? The first time I’d heard her voice was just a short while ago. After some thought, I reached a conclusion.

“One more thing—what’s the deal with that Dungeon Core?”

I pointed to the red sphere embedded beside her. It was undoubtedly the Dungeon Core that had gone missing.

“Oh, is it a gift from you, Master? Thank you! I thought I’d display it as decoration.”

I had no recollection of giving her such a thing…

“Thanks to it, I was able to gain power. Until then, it seems my attempts to communicate weren’t reaching you.”

She—or perhaps it—had absorbed the Dungeon Core’s energy. If that were the case, then she might have consumed its essence entirely. That would explain the sudden expansion of the Room and the timing of her voice reaching me.

“So, about this Administrator role. What exactly are you planning to do here?”

Leaving her unchecked wasn’t an option. With her having a will of her own, if her abilities went out of control, I could end up labeled as a dangerous individual. I needed to find a way to manage this situation.

“My role is to manage The World. If I were to simplify it, my mission is to ensure your peace and tranquility, Master.”

“That’s… reassuring, I guess.”

If she was promising my peace, then I didn’t need to worry about her doing anything reckless—probably. If she could handle the management of this place, that would actually be a big help.

As I was mulling this over, she suddenly spoke again.

“Master, could you stop calling me ‘you’?”

“Huh? Sure… but could you tell me your name first?”

“I don’t have one. Master, please give me a name!”

Since this ability came from me, it made sense she didn’t have a name yet. But now she was throwing another challenge my way. With everything else I had to think about, this was one more thing added to the pile.

“Alright… how about ‘Eve’?”

“Wow! I love it! From now on, I am Eve!”

She seemed genuinely delighted.

“So, Eve,” I began.

“Yes, Master? This Eve will answer all your questions!”

Her bubbly, cheerful tone reminded me of the tinkling of bells.

“I don’t fully understand what this power is capable of. Could you explain everything you know about it?”

She’d absorbed a magic core, a Dungeon Core, expanded the space, and even started speaking. Who knew what else this ability could do?

I waited intently for Eve’s response.
