One day in the future, Carol Danvers found herself as a guest on J. Jonah Jameson's live broadcast.

"Hey! Welcome to the Invincible Spider-Man Fan Club Live Show and Marketplace! Today, we are honored to have Captain Marvel, Carol Danvers, fresh off her return from Planet M78!"

The camera captured Jameson enthusiastically cheering, while Carol awkwardly waved at the audience.

"Hi, everyone. I'm Carol," she greeted.

She had lost a bet to a certain infuriating individual and, despite her cosmic savior status, was now reduced to playing the fool in a live stream.

To make matters worse, she couldn't even show a hint of dissatisfaction.

I swear, I'm never drinking again!

After all, she had been drunk when she fell for that guy's trick.

Completely oblivious, Jameson played along with a broad grin. "You heard that, folks! The Captain is warmly greeting you all!"

Following the usual opening formalities, Jameson glanced at a cue card held by his staff and grinned at Carol.

"Before we get to showcasing our products, Captain, may I ask—what's the most memorable event in your life?"

"Oh, that would have to be repelling the Kree's space fleet," Carol replied, her tone professional.

Jameson burst into laughter. "Haha! You're too modest. That's just another day's work for you—we all know that!"

Carol paused to think. "Then it must be saving countless alien species on the brink of extinction."

Jameson laughed even harder. "Haha! You're still too modest. That's nothing for someone like you—we all know that too!"

Carol: …

"Is this really your hosting style?" she asked.

Jameson chuckled. "Haha! Yes, indeed. People love my smile—they say it heals their hearts and drives away their unhappiness."

Carol's eye twitched. "Alright, then what kind of answer are you looking for?"

Jameson straightened his expression. "What we really want to know is this: as the superhero who sparked the Avengers' first civil war, what was your motivation at the time?"

Hearing this, Carol looked exasperated.

"So it's about that… I was just a little drunk."

Jameson kept his exaggerated grin. "Haha! Really? I don't believe you."

Carol glanced at the camera, shaking her head.

"I wasn't the one who started the Avengers' civil war. You should all know that."

Jameson wagged his finger. "No, no, no. Spider-Man said it was you, so it was you."

Carol: …

Her exasperation deepened.

This is slander! Absolute slander!

"Honestly, I don't even know what happened. Those guys were yelling about friendship and bonds and all kinds of nonsense, and then they just started fighting.

"At the time, I refused to participate, but who could have guessed they'd start punching each other anyway?"

As she spoke, Carol stared earnestly at the camera.

"So I'll say it again—the Avengers' civil war wasn't my fault. S.H.I.E.L.D.'s corporate culture is just like that."

Washington, D.C., White House Ruins

"Well, well, this is interesting."

Carol's lips curled as she observed the red-and-blue magical energy enveloping Xia Luo.

"The 'Invincible Spider-Man'? That title doesn't belong to you. I'm taking it back now!"

Her eyes glowed brilliantly, releasing cosmic energy that instantly turned the ruins into a scorching inferno.

The terrifying heat warped the air as she closed the distance between them in the blink of an eye.

"HUMMMM~"

The cosmic energy surged forward, but Xia Luo remained composed. With one hand, he drew a circle to redirect the energy beams, while his other hand fired magical spiderwebs.

"SWISH!"

A portal opened above Carol, and her redirected cosmic beams rained down on her. Simultaneously, the shimmering web ensnared her.

"BOOOOM!!"

In an instant, the ruins exploded. A violent heatwave engulfed what little remained of the White House, reducing its remnants to ash.

Before Xia Luo could act further, the center of the energy blast flickered. The residual energy surged back into Carol's body.

"Spider-Man with magic? You've had your turn. Now it's mine!"

Carol's gaze turned sharp as the cosmic energy radiating from her overwhelmed the reporters' cameras.

"Ah! My eyes!"

"My God, I see the light!"

"Keep staring and you'll go blind."

"Look!"

Reporters cowering behind cover caught sight of a glowing figure amidst the brilliant light and exclaimed in delight.

"It's Spider-Man!"

"Oh my God, he's gone giant again!"

"Take her down!"

"BOOOOM!!"

The next moment, a colossal red-and-blue figure stomped down, shaking the ruins. The ensuing shockwave sent debris flying in every direction.

From a satellite's perspective, the impact radiated outward like a massive spiderweb, centered on the giant.

But even under the weight of tens of thousands of tons, a glimmer of light persisted.

Carol stood firm, her hands holding back the mountainous foot. Her expression twisted into one of mild annoyance as she let out a small hiccup.

"Hic~"

A faint whiff of alcohol wafted from her, unnoticed by everyone else.

Drinking never shows on her face.

"Ahhh!!"

With a shout, she unleashed a surge of cosmic energy, forcing the giant to stumble backward. Streams of light zipped around the colossal figure, striking it repeatedly.

"BAM! BAM! BAM!"

"BOOOOM!"

Amid bursts of cosmic sparks, the giant's body was wracked with explosions. Left with no choice, Xia Luo reverted to his normal size.

Carol's speed was simply too overwhelming. His gigantic form offered no advantage.

If he stayed in that form, he'd likely end up like Thanos' ship—pierced through by Carol's relentless assault.

"HUMMMM~"

The energy converged as Carol rocketed downward.

A terrifying aura descended upon Xia Luo, who immediately opened another portal.

"HUMMMM~"

"BAM!!"

Before he could dive into the portal, cosmic energy enveloped him, slamming him into the corner of a museum.

"CRASHHH~~"

The makeshift meteor tore through the museum's roof, reducing priceless historical artifacts to dust in the wake of cosmic destruction.

"You know, this is going to cost you a lot," Xia Luo quipped from the crater in the museum's hall, wincing from the pain in his back.

Carol scoffed dismissively. "Those things don't belong to them. Who am I compensating?"

"Well, that's… surprisingly logical."

Electric arcs danced across Xia Luo's hands as he shot into the sky like a bolt of lightning.

"BAM!"

Another hole punctured the ceiling as Xia Luo's electric form zipped upward, only for Carol's cosmic light to effortlessly overtake him.

"Invincible Spider-Man? You're pathetic."

Flying alongside him, Carol folded her arms, her tone teasing.

Xia Luo snorted. "This isn't the first time I've been knocked around. You won't shake my unyielding and justice-filled heart."

With that, he lunged headfirst into Carol.

"HUMMMM~"

The Spider-Totem energy briefly flared, forcing Carol's soul to separate from her body within its cosmic sheath.

But before Xia Luo could capitalize, Carol's soul re-entered her body, and her fist—large as a boulder—smashed forward, distorting the space around it.

"BOOOOM!!"

Lightning crashed down onto the streets below. Explosions erupted as parked cars were sent flying.

Piloting an approaching craft, Carter swore loudly at the sight.

"Damn it! I told you we couldn't win! And you pretended not to understand! How is this funny?!"

She dove from her craft before it exploded, swinging between skyscrapers with her web shooters.

Carol noticed her and shot into the sky as a streak of light, heading straight for her.

"This is bad!"

The pressure of Carol's cosmic energy was suffocating.

Mid-air, Carter frantically raised her vibranium shield, bracing for the impending attack.

"HUMMMM!"

"BAM!!"

The moment Carol's cosmic energy collided with Carter's vibranium shield, it was as if Carter had slammed into a spaceship. Her body was flung backward, crashing violently into a building.

Having just leapt from the flames, Xia Luo saw the scene and immediately pinched the bridge of his nose.

"If the old man were here, we could at least call it even."

As he muttered, several red-and-blue silhouettes separated from his body, swiftly coalescing into fully-formed clones.

"Even without the old man, we can still crush her!"

"Great spirit—you go first."

"Well, actually… today's not convenient for me."

"Coward! Watch me!"

One of the clones activated a device on its wrist. With an aggressive surge of Pym Particles, it grew into a towering giant, blocking out the sky.

The thousand-meter-tall behemoth barely raised its right leg before Carol's cosmic energy pierced through its foot like a blade and shot directly into its chest.

"ARGHHH!!"

"She's… breached my heart!" the clone howled, its massive body shattering into a storm of red-and-blue particles.

The remaining clones winced in disgust.

"Liking an old hag? Disgraceful."

"Unless she's a cosmic sugar mama."

"That's impossible. Earth doesn't accept cosmic credits—she's broke."

"Then let's beat her!"

"Yeah, beat her down!"

The clones launched themselves at Carol with an array of attacks. Magic energy exploded continuously, while arcs of electricity and portals were obliterated by the overwhelming onslaught of cosmic energy.

"Thanks for the warm-up. I'm ready now."

At that moment, the golden spider emblem on Xia Luo's chest began to glow.

The radiant gold suit expanded outward with temporal energy as Xia Luo merged into the void.

The next instant, as Carol scanned her surroundings, spatial ripples behind her caught her attention.

Behind me!

"BOOM!!"

Cosmic energy shot diagonally into the night sky, illuminating half the city.

But her attack hit nothing.

"What?"

A sharp pain at the nape of her neck followed, as Xia Luo's golden-clad fist came crashing down. Carol's body was sent hurtling through a building.

"BAM!"

Watching her crash through the structure, Xia Luo shook his sore hand.

Wow, she's tough.

A moment later, Carol emerged, radiating cosmic light even brighter than before.

"BAM!!"

Her head slammed into Xia Luo like a missile, sending him reeling as he melded back into the void.

Around the corner, golden light flickered as Xia Luo reappeared, rubbing his head in pain.

Mock Thanos. Pity Thanos. Become Thanos.

Captain Marvel really is a hammerhead.

Seeing another streak of cosmic light rushing toward him, Xia Luo quickly slipped into the void again.

High above the city, a massive spider totem materialized, its watchful eyes scanning the phantom urban landscape.

"No! Oh my gosh, where am I? How did I end up here?"

Hearing the fluent African-accented English of the figure in the totem, Xia Luo immediately ceased his magic energy and sent the guy back to his universe.

Better no webbing than webbing poorly.

He rolled his eyes in disdain.

As the light approached again, Xia Luo vanished into the void, dodging Carol's relentless assault once more.

Thanks to the assistance of his temporal spider, Xia Luo managed to eliminate the delay of opening portals, barely keeping up with Carol's photon attacks.

But even a single mistake would give her the chance to land a decisive blow.

Far away, on the Antarctic ice shelf, Xia Luo appeared in an instant, slashing open space with a knife-hand and pulling Takuya Yamashiro from another universe.

"Summoned mid-bathroom break—Spider-Man!"

"Stop posing. Pull up your pants and grab your Soul-Sword of Justice—"

Before Xia Luo could finish, Carol's light streaked through the air, leaving Takuya Yamashiro baffled.

"I was listening!"

Glancing around the endless ice, Takuya shivered.

"Leaving without finishing your sentence? Rude."

He scanned his surroundings, pondering how to escape.

"HUMMMM~"

A radiant meteor streaked across the ice, its sheer force causing the hardened ice to crack and ripple outward at an unimaginable speed.

"Nani?"

Startled, Takuya froze. Before he could react, the ice exploded as golden Spider-Man was knocked into a nearby glacier by Carol's unstoppable charge.

Her strength is terrifying.

The glacier began to collapse, while blood-red tendrils lashed out in desperation. But against the relentless cosmic energy, the tendrils disintegrated like paper.

"Can someone kindly toss me some Kryptonite?!"

As Xia Luo cried out, Takuya, trapped in the ice, also yelled desperately.

"Can someone please save me?!"

"Summon Leopardon!"

"I can't! My ship's not here!"

"Damn it!"

Deep within the glacier, Xia Luo cursed loudly, his body shimmering with temporal energy. Twisting through the void, he finally broke free of Carol's grasp, landing a counterpunch to her face.

"BAM!"

"Ah! That hurt!"

Xia Luo's hand throbbed with pain, while Carol stared him down, spitting out a mouthful of blood.

"A magic-using bug? You've really pissed me off now."

Without holding back, she unleashed her full power. The cosmic energy radiating from her body grew dazzlingly intense.

"CRACK! CRACK! CRACK!"

"BOOOOM~~~"

The photon blast engulfed Xia Luo, slamming him through the glacier and shooting him into the sky like a comet.

In the icy ruins below, Takuya, nearly frozen solid, finally climbed onto land.

"Spider-Man—survivor of the ice cave!"

"Huh? Where'd they go?"

The howling wind masked the sounds of the ongoing battle. Takuya stood in silence.

With no ship, how was he supposed to get back?

Just as he was lamenting his situation, a golden portal slowly materialized behind him.

"I knew you wouldn't abandon me—"

Turning excitedly, Takuya was stunned to see a man in strange garb emerge from the portal.

"Who are you?"

"Wong."

"Nani?"

Takuya's confusion deepened. "Wong from where?"

"From Kamar-Taj. Wait, no—that's my name."

Wong stroked his beard, then beckoned Takuya forward.

"Come on. I'll take you to support Spider-Man."

"You're his friend?"

"No, I'm his fan."

"You're his idol?" Takuya asked, surprised.

Wong's forehead creased with annoyance. "No, I'm his fan."

After a pause, Wong added, "I'm the vice president of the Spider-Man Fan Club."

"Then who's the president?"

"I'm not sure. All I know is, he likes cigars."
