"Jeez! This place is like a kind of purgatory. If I was a ghost catcher I bet I would have hit the jackpot here." Leng Pan lamented as she signaled her husband to burn those skeletons.

It was not a pretty sight and those people deserved some dignity since at least, they didn't turn into man-eating monsters.

Lu Zhen listened to his wife and shot a small ball of flame on the bones.

The large pile of bones burned in a matter of minutes and it was gone. Since those people outside were attacked by the evolved zombie as soon as they opened the door of the warehouse, Leng Pan assumed that they hadn't had the time to see what was inside as they must have been busy trying to save their lives.

In that case, she could take the supplies there without scruples. Since the Lu family Mall was huge, the supermarket also had the most complete products. From food to self care to cleaning, to outdoor use. Everything you could think of. They even sold clothes.

Thus, Leng Pan had gotten a windfall because she managed to get all kinds of supplies.

But as a good and compassionate citizen, she had to think of other survivors who would come after her. Hence, she only took a little over three quarters of everything in there.

The remaining quarter might sound little, but the size of the warehouse wasn't small. Everything left could sustain many families for months.

Thinking of this, she and Lu Zhen filled their carts with many supplies and pushed them out after taking what they wanted.

Reaching the door, Leng Pan walked over to the ashes of the zombie that had turned completely to dust and took a shiny red crystal core within the ashes.

This crystal core was shinier than any she had ever seen and had a glossier look. Anyone who saw it at that moment wouldn't believe such a beautiful thing and come out of something walking around with rotten flesh falling off.

Producing water on her palms, Leng Pan washed the crystal clean and offered it to her husband.

He was a fire element superpower user and his mutated fire needed more energy to advance. With the abundant energy from this crystal core, she didn't believe that he wouldn't be able to advance to the third level.

"Hey guys, if there are some things that you still need and haven't gotten yet, check the warehouse.

Take what you need and load it up in the truck. Remember the anonymous, prophetic message about the extreme cold, it's better to be prepared than to be sorry later and regret leaving some supplies behind when you had the chance to take them." Leng Pan advised and her team flocked into the warehouse.

She could hear the exclaiming as if they had found a treasure.

The limited milk powder on the shelves had a surplus in the warehouse. There was also powder bone broth. She didn't know how it had been made but reading the instructions, it said that adding a spoonful of the bone broth powder in boiling water yields two cups of bone soup.

It was good in improving bone strength, reducing joint pain, and improving skin because it has collagen.

There were also other powdered foods such as vegetables, meat, and lentils. Boiling any of these in hot water would make delicious soup especially in winter.

Leng Pan had also been impressed by these foods and had taken quite a bit.

She had also put a few tins in the cart she was pushing.

She wanted to see if Uncle Li, the food magician, had a way to make it differently from the boiling in water recipe.

After all,he was the one with a food-related superpower.

The group was overjoyed upon seeing such supplement-like food stuff. They piled them in the carts and pushed them to the truck before unloading and going back again.

After a few trips,the truck was almost full with extra rice sacs, flour, oil, sugar, noodles, and many other types of food.

After everyone had taken their fill, they got back into the truck and left.

They arrived at the entrance of the building and happened to meet another group of people also coming back from scavenging for supplies.

The other group had arrived about two minutes earlier than them so Lu Zhen parked the truck behind their car.

Even though the group had seen them, they pretended not to and still took their time moving the supplies they had collected.

One could tell that they were practically taunting Lu Zhen and his group and possibly had the intention of showing off what they had.

"Psst! Idiot." Leng Pan muttered under her breath when she saw through those petty humans.

Weren't they just pissed because she and her husband had turned their request to join their team down? How petty indeed.

Did they really think that by blocking the way they can't unload their supplies and take them inside? How stupid!

Leng Pan got out of the vehicle and Lu Zhen followed suit. Lu Zhen could tell that his own woman was pissed off.

To stop her from killing a human and then regretting it later, he decided to be her knife if she was going to spill blood there.

However, he hoped that would be unnecessary because he could tell that these were just ignorant people.

Without even bothering with the group of people taking their time, Leng Pan went to the back of the truck and had Juan Ke and the others come down.

They had a lot of work to do and time could not be wasted. There were a lot of prying eyes, especially when some people saw that group of people that had arrived before us acting all arrogant.

It was as if everyone was waiting to see what we would do since our fame had spread that morning, and probably from the incident with the firewood on the mountain.

Leng Pan didn't want to be watched like a monkey but there was nothing she could do.

Thus, she just concentrated on unloading supplies that left everyone there in shock.
