{Day 4 - January 17th, 2010 - Foundation Administrator }
[ Hidden Quest Completed! - Experiment on your first Anomaly! ]
[ Rewards:
- 25 SCP Tokens
- Free Basic MTF Team (x4 Agents, Tier-2)
- Observation Equipment Package x1 (x2 Raven Surveillance Drones, x2 Field Agents) ]
Staring at the System screen, the Administrator drowsily processes the text. "MTF team," he perks up, a jolt of energy upon reading the words. "That's something I've needed for a while. Something the Foundation has needed."
Muttering under his breath, the screen changes rapidly before a flash of light is produced in front of him- four individuals appear before him, standing at attention. Glancing across their apparel, there is a sense of judgement as he notes their features.
Each is seen to be wearing black BDUs, similar to that of the Security Officers, with a new addition of Kevlar padding across the uniform, and gas masks covering their features. The logo of the SCP Foundation covers their right shoulder, and a unique emblem with the text 'ε-6' etched beneath on the left.
One of the MTF would step forward, saluting. "Epsilon Six: Village Idiots. Reporting for service, Administrator." They announce, a hint of pride in their tone.
Observing the new MTF team with a critical eye, he addresses them. "At ease, Epsilon Six." The clacking of boots echo through the room as they stand at ease.
"Describe your specialization," The Administrator commands. "What is your task as Epsilon Six?"
The MTF standing ahead of the others would speak up. "Epsilon Six is tasked for covert operations in rural and suburban areas, for search and destroy, or asset retrieval. Including SCP quarantine and capture."
The Administrator would nod in approval. "Very good. You're all dismissed, assist the Security Officers with patrols of the Site. Your services will be requested soon enough."
With the clack of boots, the MTF turn around and exit the Administration Office. Upon their exit, only the hum of the fluorescent remains.
The Administrator would walk back behind the desk in the rear of the room, and observe the various camera feeds across the Site. Within the Light Inanimate Sector, two of the Security Officers can be seen removing the corpse of the Class-D, and the cell sealed with hazard tape.
Glancing towards a different screen, the entrance of the Site remains clear, the sun slowly rising based on the hue of the light. The Administrator would pinch the bridge of his nose, deep in thought.
Rising from behind the desk, he would step into the centre of the room. "System," he says aloud. "Inventory." The flash of the screen fills the room, a maroon panel visible only to the Administrator hovers in front of him.
[ SCP System - Inventory ]
[ - Observation Equipment Package x1 (x2 Raven Drones, x2 Field Agents) ]
"Select Observation Equipment Package." The Administrator orders the System, the screen fading away as another brief flash of light fills the room.
Two large drones and two individuals stand in place of the light. Glancing at the drones, they were small in stature, only three to four feet in length. The tail and wings were thin in comparison to the main fuselage, seemingly designed strictly for lift and maintaining stable flight in calm weather.
Gazing away from the Raven Drones, the Administrator would judge the two Field Agents. Both had a tall stature, and wore casual clothes, nothing explicitly identifying them as an agent for the Foundation beyond a pair of all-black clearance cards they were wielding in their hands.
Taking a cursory glance at the clearance cards, the Administrator would nod briefly. "Field Agents, I understand you will be our main external influence for now. You are to depart the Site. Objectives are integration into the community, and selecting individuals for recruitment. Dismissed."
With the orders provided, the two Field Agents would exit the Administration Office, before pacing down the corridor towards the Site exit.
Before the Administrator could continue with other duties, the door to the Administration Office swings open, as Doctor Ramirez enters with calm gait. "Administrator, I have the report for the experiment on SCP-002."
"Very well," The Administrator says, as he paces behind his desk and takes a seat. "Give me the report."
Taking out a clipboard and USB, Doctor Ramirez begins to speak. "The test began with the Class-D interacting with SCP-002. Readings were standard across the board, including the S.R.A." He takes a sharp breath before continuing.
"After physical contact with SCP-002, readings had a sharp increase on the S.R.A., and could not be properly documented due to its low power and less-than-standard detection capabilities. For a first experiment, this allowed us to determine that reality was manipulated only slightly above standard..." Doctor Ramirez pauses for a moment, collecting his thoughts.
"The difference comes from the personal hume reading... As you know, hume detection is split in half due to its function of creating miniature pocket dimensions for "zero" and "one-hundred". These two are base reality... Upon contact with SCP-002, the Class-D subject had a hume reading of 80 and 300." He flips the paper on the clipboard and continues.
"This means, essentially, after contact with SCP-002, he was manipulating reality on the level of Class-III reality bender... Advanced thaumaturgic, physic, metaphysic, and matter manipulation." He flips to the final page on the clipboard. "We suspect that contact with SCP-002 has to be maintained at all times to allow for manifestation of artificial ontokinesis, or 'reality-bending'. Thus the sudden return to baseline reality- and the shock that destroyed the S.R.A., after the Class-D subject was terminated and the book thrown from his grasp."
The Administrator nods along to the new information, before looking up at Doctor Ramirez. "And what plans are currently in development for containment?" He asks.
Doctor Ramirez smiles, before replying. "Current containment plans are for a permanent placement of mid-power Scranton-Reality-Anchors within the containment chamber, and to develop more low-power S.R.A.'s in the event of a breach for MTF and Security Officer use."
"However, one issue is resources... We'll need more Class-D and perhaps some Junior Researchers to assist in development, and expand our ranks. The eight, including me, can only do so much." Doctor Ramirez would say with some concern.
Hearing the summary and concerns, the Administrator would stand from his chair and pace towards Doctor Ramirez. "The summary was excellent, and your concerns are valid... Field Agents were deployed moments ago- and with the drones you may have noticed in this room, we'll be expanding on capabilities for potential recruitment. You're dismissed for now, Senior Researcher."
The Administrator walks to the door, opening it for Doctor Ramirez. Nodding, he exits the Administration Office to continue his duties. Sighing, the Administrator would walk back to his desk, checking the various security feeds, and plugging the USB into the computer.
The central monitor lights up, as the recording from the optical equipment begins to replay...

{Day 4 - January 17th, 2010 - Foundation Field Agents}
The gradual hiss of hydraulics could be heard as the hatch into the facility opened. Two figures climbed out one after the other, dressed in casual clothing, before one took out a solid-black keycard.
Sliding it through a scanner below the hatch, they stepped away as it gradually closed shut.
Verifying the hatch was closed, the pair of Field Agents exited the office into the main warehouse covering the Site. Glancing around, the Field Agents would note what could be improved to maintain the clandestine nature of the Site and fulfill their duties.
After deciding on ideas that could be feasible for their roles and clearance in the Foundation, the Field Agents would exit the warehouse onto the streets of Lunenberg, beginning their first day of service to The Foundation.
