Seven Deadly Sins System

Chapter 126: Losing Control

Winton ran as fast as he could and from time to time, he would turn his head to look behind him, staring at the floating figure that was surrounded by a strange bloody mist.

Looking at this figure, Winton unconsciously clenched his fists, his nails piercing through his palm and causing blood to flow out.

However, Winton didn't care about this at all.

In his mind, the image of his mother's last moments remained and he the loud booming sound was still on his mind, followed by the image of his mother exploding and turning into a bloody mist that rushed to the sky.

Now, seeing this bloody mist being absorbed by the blurry figure, Winton was filled with hatred and murderous intent.

"Why? Why didn't I work hard to become a Warrior? It's all my fault!", he thought, blaming himself for his mother's death.

After all, Winton knew very well that if it were not for him, his mother would have been able to escape and she would still be alive.

He wanted to turn back and fight against the powerful figure that stood in the sky, but Winton knew that with his mere strength, there was no way he would be able to deal with it.

"From now on, I'll work hard as hard as I can in order to take my revenge!", he gritted his teeth and said, his eyes flashing with unprecedented determination.

If anyone were to look at him at the moment, they would find that Winton's temperament had changed and his previous pride had completely disappeared.

Now, he seemed like a determined young man that was bound to achieve great things in his life.

While he was having these thoughts, suddenly, from the corner of his eye, Winton noticed a very small light that broke through darkness of the night.

The moment he saw this light, Winton felt a clear longing coming from his body, as if there was something calling him in that direction.

Taking a look at the blurry figure behind him that was still absorbing the bloody mist, Winton hesitated for a split second, but then, his eyes became firm.

Dashing forward, he ran towards the direction of this light with all his strength, ignoring the pain all over his pain that was caused by his fatigue.

Before long, Winton arrived at its source and found that on the ground in front of him, a silver sword lay quietly, its edge shining with a bright luster.

When he saw this, Winton instinctively stepped forward and leaned down to grab it, then held it tightly in his right hand.

Instantly, Winton felt a powerful energy rushing from the sword to his body, increasing his physical strength and relieving his fatigue at the same time.

"Is this the so-called Magic Item?", Winton wondered and looking at the sword in his hand, his previous sadness seemed to have disappeared and a smile appeared on his face.

Feeling the powerful strength of his physical body, Winton's confidence surged and he let out a wild laugh.

"With this power, who can stop me?", he questioned loudly, the pride that had been seemingly extinguished returning.

"Sure enough, I'm the destined person! A genius!", he said and with confidence in his eyes, he turned around and looked at the blurry figure on the horizon.

Winton slowly raised the sword in his hand and pointed at the figure, before speaking up:

"Today, I'll take revenge for my mother's death!"

"I'll step over your mortal corpse to begin my journey towards the top of this wor-"

"Boom!"

Winton's words were suddenly interrupted, as a golden spear flew out of nowhere and pierced his head, causing it to explode.

The next moment, a beautiful figure walked out of the darkness and looked at Winton's corpse that lay on the ground.

"So much nonsense!", Chu Wuyao couldn't help but complain, completely speechless.

In fact, Chu Wuyao had left the mansion not long before the formation was activated and immediately, she realized that something was wrong.

Using her summons to monitor the mansion, she witnessed everything that happened, including Margaret's selfless sacrifice and Winton's brief change of mind.

Because of this, Chu Wuyao rushed here to get rid of Winton, afraid that he would be a potential enemy in the future.

However, judging from the last scene, it seemed that her worries were meaningless.

"Indeed, the character of a person can not be changed so easily, even if they go through a dramatic event.", Chu Wuyao thought, thinking of Winton's momentary realization, only to revert back to normal less than a few minutes later.

Lowering her head, Chu Wuyao looked at the "valuable" treasure that Winton had picked up and immediately realized that it was barely an extraordinary item and even Magic Apprentices would disdain to use it.

"What a waste of time.", she muttered in a low voice, regretting to have come here.

However, soon, Chu Wuyao's expression turned solemn and she raised her head to look at the blurry figure above the Earl's mansion.

Compared to Winton, Chu Wuyao's vision was extraordinary and she could see that this figure was that of the father of her current body, Earl Heath.

However, if it was just this, it would have not been enough for Chu Wuyao to become so solemn.

The reason she did was because in her perception, as Xu Zian absorbed the bloody mist, his aura was getting stronger and stronger, improving at an unimaginably fast speed.

From being equivalent to the Early Stage of the Shackles Realm, his aura broke through the Middle Stage and was rapidly rushing towards the Late Stage, all in less than a few minutes.

Obviously, such a huge increase in power was not something that absorbing a few mortals and extraordinary people could do.

In Chu Wuyao's perception, although Xu Zian's aura was increasing, it was also fluctuating violently, like the fire of a candle that was about to go out.

"Has he lost control?", Chu Wuyao thought and understood that Xu Zian must have been affected by the side-effects of the evil technique he was practicing.

This was the massive disadvantage of practicing evil techniques and it was also the reason why the evil forces didn't rule over the Cultivation World, despite the evil cultivators being able to make progress extremely quickly.

For example, the Blood Demon Body that Chu Wuyao was practicing is such a technique, where a cultivator can quickly improve their strength, but to do so, they have to make sure that their consciousness doesn't get affected by the killing aura.

It wasn't very rare for an evil cultivator to lose control and Chu Wuyao had even witnessed one before, Li Zhengyu.

Of course, compared to the scene in front of her, Li Zhengyu losing control was nothing.

"Having lost control, it is inevitable that he will go crazy and slaughter everyone and everything in this territory...", Chu Wuyao thought and realized that there was probably no one that would be able to stop him.

Opening her system panel, Chu Wuyao looked at her rank and her Sin Points and knew that if she used everything she had to improve her strength, she might be able to stop him.

Thinking of all the people that were bound to die, Chu Wuyao's eyes became firm and her face was filled with determination as she looked at Xu Zian.

The next second, she ran away!
