Chapter 807: What is Her Name?
"Um… Princess?" Miriam stopped on her path and turned around when she noticed that Joyce wasn't following her anymore.
She wondered if she had said anything wrong because Joyce looked too stunned to speak. The Princess was darting her eyes around as though her mind was working on something very important.
Miriam approached Joyce with the intention to ask if she said something that she wasn't supposed to say or if she did something that upset Joyce. "Princ–"
However, she was instantly interrupted when she felt a strong gust of wind hitting her face. She closed her eyes tightly and strongly held the tray in her hand so that she wouldn't end up smashing the teapots on the very first day of trying to be of some help.
The gust of wind stopped as abruptly as it came. And when Miriam opened her eyes, she almost jumped when she saw the very Crown Prince who she was talking about towering in front of her. He had a rather serious look on his face, which, for some reason, sent a chilling shiver down her spine.
Since Joyce and Miriam hadn't reached that far away from Kenneth's room, both Damien and Kenneth were able to hear what Miriam had said just a while ago.
And Kenneth was so restless to know more about that topic that he didn't care how scared that woman in front of him looked right now.
He glared down at that woman and came right to the point, "Tell me more about that person who you were talking about."
"E-Excuse me?" Miriam stuttered and looked away from Kenneth. She knew what Kenneth meant by that, but she couldn't utter another word than that.
Kenneth had waited his whole life to know more about his birth parents. And when he heard that Miriam knew someone who resembled him, he was way too restless to know more. So, he urged her again. But he sounded like he was threatening Miriam rather than making a request.
"I want you to tell me who that person was. Any information that you can give to me."
Miriam clenched the tray and looked down at it. She shakily breathed out and stuttered again, "Oh, umm… I… Er…"
Kenneth knitted his brows together and asked Miriam, "Are you deliberately doing this, or do you actually have a problem speaking?" He couldn't help but get irritated by how she was stammering non-stop.
"No, Your Highness!" Miriam nervously shook her head and took a deep breath in. And she tried speaking without stuttering, however, she couldn't help but do the exact same thing. "She was… I mean, her n-name was… Uh…"
Joyce could clearly see how uncomfortable and scared Miriam looked. After all, Miriam had seen her fair share of scary men in her life who had made her go through hell.
So, Joyce came and stood by her side to reassure her that Kenneth meant no harm even though he looked somewhat terrifying at the moment.

Joyce gently placed her hand on Miriam's shoulder and then spoke in a calm manner, "Miriam, the information would be too valuable to Prince Kenneth." She looked at Kenneth and said to her, "He is just a little anxious to know more about what you have to say."
She took the tray from Miriam's hand and placed it on the floor. She stood in between Miriam and Kenneth so that he would take a step back from her, and Miriam would stop being so scared of him.
Joyce looked into Miriam's eyes which were full of confusion, and she said again, "So, will you tell me everything that you remember about that person who you were talking about? If you know the address, then it would help a lot."
Seeing Joyce, her savior, standing in front of her, Miriam's nerves calmed down to some extent. She was also able to think more clearly than before. From the way both of them were asking for information, she was now sure that the Crown Prince was looking for someone, maybe his relative.
If she was able to help someone reunite with their lost relative, then she was more than happy to do so. Thus, she revealed everything she knew without any hesitation.
"She is my maiden family's neighbor. If I remember correctly, my parents said that she had migrated from a foreign land. We used to share our meals with her every once in a while, especially during festivals because she had no one else in her family."
Miriam took a peek at Kenneth and then added, "But when I saw His Highness, I couldn't help but think that I was looking at her spitting image. So, I thought he might have been her relative."
"Thank you so much for sharing this, Miriam," Joyce gave a big smile to her and then looked over her shoulder at Kenneth.
The deep frown lines had already disappeared from Kenneth's forehead. He heaved a deep sigh and kept on staring blankly. He looked much calmer and more relaxed than before.
Joyce finally stepped aside as Kenneth didn't look scary anymore.
"What is her name?" Kenneth asked in a very soft voice, he almost sounded like he was trying hard not to cry.
Miriam glanced at the Crown Prince, a little confused as to why he suddenly sounded so emotional. But she answered without making him wait, "Her name is Scarlett."
"Scarlett…" Kenneth repeated in his mind. Then he asked again, "Can you tell me where your maiden home is?"
"Ah! Yes, of course." Miriam replied while bowing her head a little, "It is in a small village of Aberdeen called Stormford."
Kenneth felt extremely nervous as well as excited after getting the name and address of that woman. "Could she be my birthmother?" he wondered.
A part of his heart was excited to find that out. However, the other part was scared. "What if she is indeed my birth mother but she doesn't get happy to see me? What if she hates me? Or worse, what if she also labels me as a monster and denies even looking at my face?"
"Kenneth, are you okay?" Joyce turned to look at him and asked. She was concerned about him because he looked visibly restless and a little scared.
Kenneth looked at her and just gave her a smile. He refrained from answering her because he didn't want to lie.
He turned his gaze at Miriam and then took off one of the gold rings that he was wearing on his index finger. He held it out in front of her and politely said, "I am very grateful for the information. Please accept this as a reward."
"Oh, I am good, Your Highness," Miriam instantly denied taking the reward because she was sure that a few words of hers weren't that expensive.
However, she accepted it when Joyce urged her to. "It's okay, Miriam. He is expressing his gratitude. You have no idea how much it means to him. You should take it."
After rewarding that woman, Kenneth immediately stormed back to his own room hoping to find Damien there.
As he had expected, Damien was standing very close to the door, almost as if he had been eavesdropping on the conversations until now. Kenneth didn't mind that since it meant he didn't need to explain everything to him.
He looked at Damien and then asked, "Damien, if you are okay with it, will you go somewhere with me this instant? Will you teleport me to the village called Stormford?"
