Single Wish: Rise Of The Omniscient Paragon

Chapter 929: 926: Beautiful

Corey did not want to admit it, but when he made up his mind to explore the Chained Firmament, he was expecting to see an environment that was either desolate, ruined, dead, horrifying, or otherworldly wrong.

And he could not be blamed for this.

All the times where he was transported to another dimension or a place that was not part of New Earth, he never encountered something normal.

For some strange reason, he always encountered environments that had the touch of an Old One, and since the Chained Firmament was actually a piece of a planet that was most likely here as a result of the Book of Death- an item of an Old One, he expected to see such an environment.

It wouldn't be surprising if the Chained Firmament had become corrupted because of the Book of Death and it became like the Shattered Dimension of the Old Ones or the ruined Virendell.

In fact, if this was what he saw when he got to the top of the Chained Firmament, he would not be caught off-guard at all.

It would just be another day at work for him.

However, contrary to his expectations, what he saw was something completely different.

What he saw was just... beautiful.

It was an extremely beautiful forest and grassy plains with colossal trees that seemed to step into New Earth's outer space. Corey could not see the end of some of the trees.

The roots were also a sight of marvel because they were like hills and mountains, and Corey could have sworn he saw a gigantic root pulsing like it was alive.

The sound of a waterfall from afar drifted into Corey's Ears of Omniscience, and he turned toward the source.

He saw a massive waterfall pouring out from one of the tallest and biggest trees he could see.

Through his Eyes of Omniscience, he could see that the waterfall was glowing with a faint greenish silver light.

When he saw the light, he finally took note of the motes of greenish silver light around him, and he realized that these motes of greenish silver light were actually the source of light on the Chained Firmament.

'I think this would be the first time I'll find myself in a place like this... Definitely one of the most beautiful places I'll never forget.'

Corey opened his palm, and used his telekinesis to pull a mote of greenish silver light toward him.

It hovered above him, and Corey stared at it in curiousity and intrigue.

'I can sense wood elemental energy from it. That should be the green light. But what about silver? What is it? I've never seen, read, or heard of anything like it before.'

Corey's eyes turned pure white, and he peered into the energy's structure and mystery.

Some seconds later, a frown emerged on his face.

"Wow. This place truly looks like a firmament. Could this place actually be a piece of heaven?"

Elizabeth had a stunned and awed expression as she looked around and gathered dozens of the greenish silver motes of light.

A bright smile painted her face as she played with the motes of light with an excited and calm expression. She was like a child who had found a new toy to play with.

"What the fuck is this? I was expecting to see something else. Where are the enemies? Where is the destruction? Where is the chaos? Where is the battle? The war? Isn't this a fraction of a planet? Shouldn't it be in ruins?"

Unlike the others who were awed and stunned by the beauty around them, Rorik the Berserker was the only one who seemed to have a disgusted expression.

Even Matias, the Tank of the team who was the quiet and observant one had an awed and peaceful expression as he touched the green grass that was surrounding them.

"Damn you, Rorik. Must you always love chaos and destruction? Can't you see how peaceful and beautiful this place is? I'm sure that if we find any alien survivors, they'll be a peaceful race. We don't have to fight all the time."

Elizabeth cursed out at Rorik, and Rorik scowled.

"It's through wars and battles one becomes stronger. During times of peace, we become weak and can be oppressed by the strong."

Elizabeth shook her head with an expression of pity. "You fool. Is it not during wars that more lives are lost?"

Rorik still stood by his argument. "Only the weak die."

"Are you crazy? What's the point of your argument then?" Elizabeth held her head as she was tired of Rorik's reasoning despite already knowing his personality and stance on several matters.

'I don't think I can ever get used to his personality and beliefs.' She thought with a tinge of disgust flashing in her eyes.

"Dying is better than being oppressed throughout your lives. At least in death, you'll find rest."

Elizabeth sighed when she heard Rorik's words. This was not the first time he had said such words, and she expected it. A part of her just hoped that he might change and realize his faults.

"I don't care anymore. Do whatever you want, but make sure you don't go around destroying this place. Look, even the mana in this place is rejuvenating us and increasing our rate of regeneration. Just enjoy this place damn it."

Elizabeth scoffed, and then she inhaled deeply. A deep sigh that released all her buried and pent up stress and anxiety escaped her lips, and she smiled widely.

"I love this place." She chuckled softly, and then she inhaled deeply once again.

Matias and Jeremy looked at Elizabeth before looking at one another. They could verify Elizabeth's words about the mana in the environment accelerating their rate of regeneration and also rejuvenating them.

All the pains and exhaustion they felt while climbing the Chain of Sovereignty was nearly gone, and this alone was enough to make the Chained Firmament extremely valuable to them.

It was like a holy hand where one can train for a much longer period of time, and this was the main thought of Jeremy as he looked at the colossal trees with extremely bright eyes.

'If I can rule over this place, I'll be able to increase my training period by two times. No. Three times. Maybe Five times? Shit! I don't know!'

'I just know that I'll be able to train more and get stronger faster! I want this place!'

Jeremy quickly breathed in the mana and circulated it into his system, and he instantly felt all the hidden injuries in his body getting healed.

It made him happy and ecstatic.

Meanwhile, Caesar turned and looked at Corey and Pamela who had frowns on their faces as they stared at the greenish silver motes of light hovering above their hands.

"What's wrong?" He asked with a confused expression.

Pamela's frown deepened, and Corey's eyes flashed with realization.

"Stop absorbing the mana. It's poison." He warned.

"Huh?" Jeremy was confused.
