As Madara was deep in thought, suddenly, he heard a familiar voice calling out.
"Madara! Come here, let's take a look!"
Izuna, Tobirama, and Madara all turned their heads toward Hashirama, who was waving at them.
Hearing his friend's voice, Madara jumped down from the hill, landing smoothly on the ground in front of the newly built village.
"Madara, look!" Hashirama grinned, spreading his arms wide. "You can choose this side, or you can choose that side for your clan! That way, both our people can live together. And in the center, we'll build a main building where we can handle important affairs."
Madara listened carefully as Hashirama pointed to a rocky area where he had been standing earlier.
"Or should we build our office up there?" Hashirama asked, rubbing his chin. "And over there, we can build a hospital so everyone can get treated properly." He pointed to the left side of the village.
Madara nodded slowly, processing everything.
"And here," Hashirama continued, pointing at another area, "we'll dedicate a school for students! The academy idea was given to me by Arata—he mentioned that training our young shinobi together would build bonds between our clans. What do you think?"
Madara stared at Hashirama for a moment. Then, a small, genuine smile appeared on his face.
"It's a good idea," Madara admitted. He looked over the village and felt something strange—a sense of peace. "With this… our village is finally real."
For the first time in a long time, Madara felt relieved. He could protect Izuna, his clan, and the future generations here. With all their combined efforts, peace wasn't just a dream anymore—it was reality.
Seeing Madara's expression, Hashirama felt excited.
But then…
Madara, as always, had that cool and serious look on his face.
Hashirama suddenly dropped face-first to the ground in defeat.
"Ahhhhh!" he groaned dramatically, lying flat like a flounder. "Madara, can't you at least look excited?!"
Arata, watching his father from the side, burst out laughing.
"Pfft—Dad! Look at you!" Arata pointed at Hashirama, laughing harder. "You're making funny faces again!"
Hashirama's eye twitched as he turned toward his son.
"Oh? So, it's funny, huh, son?"
"Of course, Dad—"
BONK!
"OW! OLD MAN, WHY DID YOU HIT ME?!" Arata yelled, rubbing his head.
Hashirama smirked.
"You think you can just laugh at your father like that?"
"You used a chakra-infused punch! It hurts!" Arata whined. "I'm gonna go tell Mom!"
BAM! BANG! BONK!
"OW! You're still hitting me, old man!"
BONK!
"AH! I was wrong! Don't hit me, Father! I'm sorry!" Arata teared up dramatically, acting like an anime protagonist getting beaten by their strict master.
Watching this ridiculous scene, Madara, Tobirama, and Izuna burst out laughing.
Especially Madara—who tried to hide his laughter but failed completely.
Time Skip – A Few Days Later
A large meeting was held. Both Uchiha and Senju clan members signed the PEACE TREATY, officially ending their long war. At the front gates of the newly built village, the moment of history finally arrived. RIGHT side stood Hashirama, the Senju Clan stood proudly and left side stood Madara, the Uchiha Clan member behind him watched silently.
With all eyes on them, Hashirama and Madara stepped forward.
And then—They shook hands, solidifying their peace agreement.
This was the birth of Konohagakure.
After securing their agreement, Madara and Hashirama received approval from the Fire Daimyō.
Of course, the Fire Daimyō had to approve it—even if he was under Madara's genjutsu.
This was all part of the plan they had discussed with Arata. So, in a way, the Fire Daimyō was just a puppet in their hands.
Even if he somehow managed to break out of the illusion, his army was nothing compared to the combined forces of the Uchiha and Senju Clans
As time passed, both clans began migrating to the village they built—Konohagakure.
The Uchiha Clan settled on the right side of the village, close to the center.
Men, women, and children moved into the houses already built, creating what would soon be known as the Uchiha Compound.
The Senju Clan did the same, establishing their own compound and proudly placing their clan symbol on the gates.
The village was still small, and the population was low, but that would change. They had plans for the future.
Tap. Tap. Tap.
The sound of footsteps echoed as Madara and Hashirama stood atop the largest mountain in the village—the future site of the Hokage Rock.
From this height, they could see everything—the village they once dreamed of as children was now real.
It wasn't big yet, but the foundation was there.
They saw people moving into homes, streets forming, and buildings under construction.
The sight made Hashirama smile.
He turned toward Madara, eyes filled with emotion.
"Madara," Hashirama said, "do you remember what we talked about when we were kids? When we sat here and dreamed of this place?"
Madara remained silent, staring at the village below.
Hashirama continued, looking at the village that now had an official name—Konohagakure.
This was his dream.
And it only came true because of his son, Arata—who supported him every step of the way.
Hashirama turned his head toward Madara, waiting for his answer.
"Oi, Madara… are you crying?" he asked.
He could see tears slipping from Madara's eyes. And as a Sage, he could also sense emotions well.
Madara quickly wiped his eyes, his movements sharp.
"Of course not! Are you an idiot?" Madara scoffed. "What do you think I am, huh? Madara Uchiha… crying?"
He folded his arms and looked away.
"It's just… I didn't expect it," he muttered. "The dream we had… it actually came true."
His voice was quieter now.
"Back then, you said you wanted to build a village where our clans could live together. A place where children wouldn't have to kill each other," Madara continued. "At that time, I thought you were stupid. But now… I guess you weren't so foolish after all."
Despite his tsundere tone, there was genuine warmth in his words.
Hashirama chuckled.
"Yeah, look at it now. It really happened, huh?" he said. "But you know, if Arata wasn't here, it would've taken much longer."
Hashirama's face softened.
Everything that had happened—the end of the war, the peace between their clans—was because of Arata.
His son had the ability to bring people together, to make them understand each other.
"Arata gave me the idea to build a ninja school," Hashirama said. "A place where children from all clans can grow up together, study, train, and become stronger. And instead of just being thrown into war, they'll be assigned tasks based on their skill level. That way, they won't have to die young like we did."
He paused, then added, "And we'll need a leader for this village. Someone who can make decisions, manage everything, and—if war ever happens again—make sure no more children are sent to the battlefield."
Madara kept staring at the village in front of them.
The memories of their younger days played in his mind.
Looking at what they had built together filled his heart with something he wasn't used to feeling—happiness. A sense of accomplishment.
Through all the wars, the bloodshed, the pain… they had finally created a place of peace.
Madara turned to Hashirama and laughed.
"Hahaha! Yeah… this is a great village, Hashirama," he said. "With this, we can finally protect our brothers. You'll protect Tobirama, and I'll protect Izuna. And we'll protect our clans from any threats that come our way."
Hashirama grinned.
As he looked down, he saw children laughing and playing together—Senju and Uchiha, side by side.
The mothers were chatting happily, and the builders were still working to expand the village.
There was so much life here.
Yes, the village would take months to fully build, and many outsiders were moving in to help grow its population and economy. But this was just the beginning.
A gust of wind blew past them.
Madara reached out and caught a falling leaf, holding it between his fingers.
"You know," he said, staring at the leaf, "I never thought we could actually do it. If it were up to me alone… I probably would've done things the brutal way. Like Izuna always said."
He looked at the broken leaf in his hand, deep in thought.
His past self… was he really that stubborn and ridiculous?
But now, their clans were united under the same village, under the same protection.
Hashirama saw the look on his face and smiled.
"So, Madara… what should we call the leader of this village?" Hashirama asked. "Since this leader has to protect not just the village, but the entire Land of Fire, we need a proper title."
Madara smirked and looked at him.
"And? What do you have in mind?"
Hashirama grinned proudly.
"How about… Hokage?"
Madara thought for a moment, then smirked.
"Hokage, huh? …Not bad," he said.
