Starting from Prototype to Immortality

Chapter 49: Chapter 50: Telekinesis!

Chapter 50: Telekinesis!

Not just telekinesis—it could also evolve into telepathy and mind control!

Other minor abilities like self-healing were also included.

Chang Wei found it hard to choose, so he decided: he wanted it all!

All those billions of genetic points he had accumulated were for this very moment!

He was grateful once again for his diligent, painstaking effort in harvesting resources. Without it, where would he find so many genetic points to afford everything? Otherwise, he would have had to miserably choose just one path and then slowly earn more points to unlock the others.

"System, I want everything!"

Chang Wei stretched out his hand, clenched his fist tightly, and gripped the nonexistent power in the air. This physical gesture embodied his desire and determination!

He wasn't worried about Alice or Jill noticing anything unusual, as he had already released a gas compound similar to an anesthetic, rendering them unconscious in an instant.

As for the possibility of improper operation leading to overdoses, death, paralysis, or post-effects like numbness in their limbs, Chang Wei didn't care anymore.

He had to evolve right now—

[All evolution paths selected. Proceed with evolution?]

The super-virus system asked.

"Proceed!"

He silently confirmed in his mind.

[Evolution commencing…]

Accompanying this message, blacklight viruses surged through Chang Wei's body.

The T-Perfect Virus, having undergone refinement through Alice, the perfect host, had reached a new level. Ordinary T-virus solutions or the T-virus extracted from zombie lickers still required another evolution within Chang Wei to reach this perfection, so naturally, he chose Alice as the virus receptor.

Ordinarily, the Imperial Blacklight Virus and the T-Perfect Virus should have been as incompatible as fire and water, clashing the moment they met. However, with the super-virus system in place, the immune system constructed by the Imperial Blacklight Virus completely ignored the intrusion of the T-Perfect Virus.

Chang Wei watched in pain as his genetic points drained at a rate of tens of thousands per second.

"How many Hunters will I have to harvest to make up for this?" he thought bitterly.

Yet at the same time, he felt the changes within himself. After the evolution of his brain region, he inexplicably developed a new sense, one that replaced sight and touch.

This new sense seemed to combine sight, touch, and hearing into a unified perception. It even resembled the Byakugan, enabling Chang Wei to "sense" everything within a 360-degree radius around him.

Mental power!

The sixth sense was intuition, but this perception wasn't the vague feeling of intuition. It felt more like mental power had evolved into a new sensory organ—or perhaps the brain itself had become the sixth sense, with mental power serving as its medium.

With a range of over a thousand meters, nothing within this radius could escape his awareness.

"Impressive, but not very practical."

Chang Wei muttered to himself. The formidable enemies he faced now were so fast that even his super senses might not respond in time. To make his mental powers meaningful, he'd need reaction speeds of several kilometers per second.

Otherwise, in the blink of an eye, he could be struck before he even had time to react.

However, this telepathic-like mental power soon expanded its range to tens of thousands of meters, at the cost of billions more genetic points.

This astronomical evolution clearly surpassed the T-Perfect Virus. After all, whether in movies or games, the T-Virus couldn't possibly provide enough energy for such an advanced evolution, as it would always be replaced by better viruses.

"Telekinesis!"

Soon after, Chang Wei felt a second power, an obscure and incomprehensible force. With a sharp gaze, he tore apart the concrete floor, lifting a massive chunk of debris into the air.

"Telekinesis is probably strength-based on mass. I wonder how much weight I can manipulate?" Chang Wei said with a smile.

Unlike Alice's crude method of shoving objects or people with telekinesis, Chang Wei's control was far more refined, thanks to having a perfect example to study.

The psychic master Tornado from the One Punch Man universe had shown what true telekinetic mastery meant—an ability that bordered on invincibility.

Perhaps…

"Fusion power is limited by material constraints. Magnetic confinement fusion is theoretically feasible. So, could telekinesis-confined fusion work?"

Chang Wei pondered. If he could use telekinesis to confine nuclear fusion, his lifeform strength would undoubtedly leap several tiers.

He might even use telekinesis to isolate the heat radiation from fusion, achieving an internal nuclear fusion sun without any external temperature changes. This way, he wouldn't turn into a mythical drought demon whose mere presence incinerates everything within miles.

Wait, could it be that the drought demon myth was based on a being with an internal nuclear fusion reactor?

Especially since Chang Wei's fusion reactors would be at the cellular level. With trillions of Blacklight Virus cells transformed into micro-fusion reactors, even at a microscopic scale, the energy generated would be apocalyptic.

Perhaps he could even rival the power output of fourth-stage advanced beings like Zheng Zha's mighty gorilla form—or surpass it entirely?
