Chapter 312: Are You Trying to Kill Me!?

"A helicopter will be here to pick me up in a few minutes. In that time, I can help with anything you need."

Liam sighed and shook his head when he heard Agiel say this. There was nothing that Agiel could do right now since they were only getting ready. Liam told Agiel that she could just get some rest before she had to leave, and Agiel nodded as she turned back to sit down with the other commanders. Liam felt like tearing his hair out at that moment! He didn't know what in the world was going on in Australia, but was it really more important than this!? They literally just got through a freaking dragon attack, and they were about to go and fight against an entire world filled with these dragons!

'This can really mess up our plan, but it shouldn't be a big deal. We still have two S Rank Enforcers, an SS Rank Supporter, multiple A Rank superhumans, and various artefacts that would help them to boost their powers. This is the best that we could come up with on such short notice, and if it isn't enough, then we're as good as dead. The only thing missing now is Jason Marc and his guild.'

Liam released a calm sigh as he looked around at all the superhumans gathered there. This was all he managed to get after the SMD sent out a request for volunteers to join the Gate Dive, and Liam couldn't help but wonder if it was going to be enough! Even if Jason was going to be joining them, there was still a very real chance that whatever they met on the other side of that gate would be too much for them to handle! But Liam shook his head immediately when that thought came to his mind! He couldn't allow those thoughts to get to him! He had to believe that they could do it!

"Liam."

"OH MY GOD!"

Liam jumped like he had just been electrocuted when he suddenly heard a calm voice speak from behind him, and Liam cursed in anger when he turned around and saw Jason standing there with a harmless smile on his face! This bastard was definitely doing this on purpose! This was the third time that Jason had done this shit, and Liam could feel a few years of his life being taken away with every jump-scare!

"Oh god, you're going to kill me one of these days! Do you want to give me a fucking heart attack!?"

Liam put his hands over his face while releasing a tense breath, and Jason just shrugged with a nonchalant grin! Liam thought about screaming at Jason to give him a piece of his mind, but he realized that it would be pointless! It wasn't like he could even do anything to Jason in the first place! Besides, the fact that Jason was doing something this childish meant that he wasn't feeling any tension from the upcoming raid, and that meant that Jason believed he could actually win this fight! Liam felt his own worries melting away when he saw the amused look on Jason's face, and he finally released a calm sigh and smiled!

"Hey, that's him, right? The kid who awakened a few months ago?"

"Yeah, that's Jason Marc."

"Damn, he's strong. Can you feel the mana coming off him? How the hell did he get that powerful in just a few weeks?"

"I have no idea man. Maybe he signed a deal with the devil or something. But where the hell did he come from? He wasn't there a second ago."

"I saw him rising from the shadow like some sort of ghost."

"Who are those girls beside him? Members of his guild?"

"One of them should be that girlfriend of his, but I don't know the other one. But why are there only three people? Where's the rest of his guild?"

The superhumans gathered in the room began murmuring amongst themselves the moment they saw Jason arriving with Gina and Riyala, and they couldn't help but wonder where the hell the rest of the guild was! Jason could hear the things being said about him, but he didn't bother to regard any of them since he was already used to people talking whenever he was around. Instead, Jason turned to look at the Enforcers who were getting ready at the side. Agiel was busy lacing up her black boots. There was a heavy bandage covering her arm, and some burn marks on her neck and face were still visible, but she looked a lot better than when Jason had seen her yesterday. Once Agiel sensed Jason's eyes on her, she looked up, and Jason narrowed his eyes as the same electric feeling passed between the two of them! Agiel's lips split into a beautiful smile as she felt that connection once again, and Jason frowned as she stood up and walked over.

"I'm glad I could run into you before I had to leave. Hmm… did you get stronger?"

Agiel looked over Jason's body curiously as she wondered what had happened to him since last night, and Jason raised a brow at her. Jason knew that she must've been sensing the new connection that Jason made with the [Death's Mirage]. Azrael had told Jason that the ritual would improve his strength since he now had a direct link to the [River of the Afterlife], but Jason didn't think that Agiel's senses were so good that she would notice it immediately. Jason suddenly latched onto something that Agiel had said, and he frowned.

"You're leaving?"

Agiel shrugged nonchalantly and spoke in a slightly irritated tone.

"I have orders to go to Australia for a mission. Turns out they need my Gift over there. I would've liked to fight beside you, but we'll have to put that off for the meantime."

Agiel turned to the side, and her mouth split into a vindictive grin when she saw the heavy glare that Gina was giving her from behind Jason. Gina's eyes were like daggers piercing into Agiel, and Agiel could feel her own heart racing in preparation for a fight! But it was just too bad that Agiel wouldn't have time at that moment because the sound of a helicopter landing on the roof immediately broke the two women out of this stare down. Agiel released a small sigh once she realized that her ride was here, and she pat Jason on the chest before giving him a few words as she left.

"Give them hell for me, Avaran. I'll be waiting to hear about your victory."

Jason just watched calmly as Agiel walked to the stairs to make her way to the roof. Jason didn't really care that Agiel wouldn't be here since he knew that he didn't need her for the fight, but Jason had hoped that he would be able to talk to her when they were on Radagan and convince her to tell him about the relationship between their families. There were too many eyes watching them here on Earth, so Jason knew that it would be nearly impossible to force her to talk, but on Radagan, they wouldn't be held back by the government agencies here, and Jason would be able to use more force to convince her! Jason just clicked his tongue at the lost opportunity, and he decided that he would wait for another chance. The Phantom was still following Agiel through the shadows, so Jason could still keep an eye on her in case she let anything important slip. Gina touched Jason's back and told him that she was going to help Riyala calm down, and Jason nodded and watched her lead Riyala to go sit down.
