Strongest Soldier King

Chapter 876: Furious Strike

Luo Zheng glared angrily at the departing police, panting heavily with rage. The assistant to the Consulate kept silent and also left. Soon, there were only two people left in the room. Lan Xue pulled Luo Zheng to sit down, her expression turning grim as she closed her eyes slightly, concentrating in thought.

"Is there anything wrong with the Consulate's assistant? How did you verify his identity? Why did he do nothing just now?" Luo Zheng suddenly asked in a lowered voice.

"It's impossible to confirm his true identity, but he appeared after our call, likely because he received a related call to come over. As for why he did nothing, this isn't hard to trace. With the Consulate's authority, getting us out is easy, just need a guarantee. Why didn't he do it?" Lan Xue said, her face growing even gloomier.

"Could he really have a problem?" Luo Zheng asked in disbelief. This was too unbelievable.

"If someone is impersonating, and the real Consulate representative is blocked outside the police station, then what's the purpose of the mastermind behind it? Do they want to force us to make a scene at the police station, then find a charge to detain us?" Luo Zheng whispered suspiciously, suddenly thought of a crucial issue, quickly shut his mouth, cautiously checked around, found a surveillance camera in the corner but no listening devices, then secretly gave Lan Xue some hand signals.

Lan Xue understood, stopped speaking, and started checking the surroundings as well. If there were listening devices, their conversation would be completely exposed and used by the mastermind. But what role do the police play in this? Lan Xue was puzzled and glanced at Luo Zheng.

Luo Zheng couldn't understand what role the police played in the whole affair either. First framed for murder, then the victim was killed, it seemed it was all aimed at him. Were the police just being used? Thinking of this, Luo Zheng became confused. What was the ultimate aim of the mastermind?

Just as he was thinking about this, the door suddenly opened, and five policemen rushed in, guns in hand, sealing off the entrance. The policeman responsible for arresting Luo Zheng entered, his face cold, holding handcuffs, and said icily, "According to higher authority identification, there are your fingerprints on the murder weapon. Now, I'm officially arresting you. Please cooperate."

"Higher authority?" Luo Zheng was puzzled. He hadn't left any fingerprints in this country, nor had this policeman taken any. The so-called identification by higher authority was clearly framing. What was the purpose? Seeing the police approaching, Luo Zheng's face turned cold, and he said icily, "How could you have my fingerprints?"

"That's something I don't know. I'm just responsible for capturing you," the other party responded coolly.

Luo Zheng guessed this policeman might really be unaware, merely a pawn used by others. Once arrested, there would definitely be more moves to persecute him. If he resisted, it would confirm the charges, and even add assaulting an officer to it, making it troublesome. Thinking of this, Luo Zheng glanced at Lan Xue.

Lan Xue gave a cold look, secretly gave Luo Zheng a combat signal. Luo Zheng paused but quickly understood, sneered, stepped forward, suddenly moved swiftly, and the hidden fruit knife cut through the Void like a streak, accurately across the police officer's carotid artery.

The police anticipated Luo Zheng might resist, otherwise, they wouldn't have gathered so many armed officers, but didn't expect Luo Zheng to move so quickly, stunned them all. By the time they reacted, the officer trying to capture Luo Zheng was already held by the neck single-handedly by Luo Zheng, the fruit knife still on his neck.

Lan Xue darted forward, took the holstered gun from the subdued officer, released the safety, aimed coldly at the door, and said, "If this escalates, the police won't let us go. If it doesn't, we still can't escape subsequent false charges. Since that's the case, might as well escalate it."

"Alright, how to escalate?" Luo Zheng shouted, not caring about danger at all.

"Get reporters, get lawyers, expose the issue, force the truth out," Lan Xue quickly said.

The police outside shouted not to move, ready to act, but dared not rush in since their colleague was controlled. Luo Zheng sneered, kicked the door shut, gestured to the controlled officer to sit down, and said coldly, "Speak, what's really going on?"

"Assaulting officers is a serious crime. You should think carefully," the other party retorted defiantly.

"Since it's a serious crime, I've already done it, so I don't mind doing worse, like murder," Luo Zheng sneered, completely unfazed by the threat.

"What do you want?" the policeman shouted in panic.

"Shouldn't I be asking that question?" Luo Zheng countered, "Tell me, why do your superiors want to frame me? Who is that victim? From where?" Intense killing intent erupted.

"I have his photos and a recording in my phone," the officer could feel Luo Zheng's compelling killing intent, had no doubt that Luo Zheng would go to extremes, frightened, he quickly mentioned.

Luo Zheng found the phone on the officer, opened it, found a recording of the alarm call and photos, but upon seeing the photo, he was stunned, his face became ice-cold, handed the phone to Lan Xue, internally anxious. Couldn't believe the target he was seeking was the victim, and already dead.

Lan Xue recognized the victim's identity too, the long-missing driver of the Song family, the mission target. Didn't expect him to be the one reporting the case, and also didn't expect he was already dead, meaning the clues were utterly lost?

"Framing and silencing, this clearly targets us. Seems we've been exposed. Now's not the time to dwell on this; what do we do next?" Luo Zheng asked quietly.

"Since it's like this, then let's escalate it big time," Lan Xue said angrily.

"Alright," Luo Zheng agreed, using a chopping hand strike to knock out the policeman, gave Lan Xue a glance, darted to the door, backed against the wall, gestured Lan Xue to cover, suddenly opened the door, saw several officers outside still trying to capture him, shouted angrily, and rushed over.

The officers held their guns vigilantly, saw a Black Shadow approaching, tried to shoot, but realized the shadow moved too fast, shooting would hit their own, hesitated momentarily, a tragic cry sounded, an officer with a gun was struck down with a hand-chop, weapon falling aside.

After succeeding once, Luo Zheng kicked, sending the opponent into the room, shouted like a fierce tiger among sheep, knocked down an officer, then grabbed one single-handedly, tossed him into the room for Lan Xue to handle, then kicked, a heavy chop leg knocking down another officer.
