Strongest Soldier King

Chapter 885: Target Located

Palm Island is one of the world's most iconic residential and tourism projects, with numerous villas and apartments for sale on each island, adding many in-demand beaches to the entire country. The project cost $14 billion to create, with various themed hotels dotting the island. It's a true Sleepless City, known as the "Eighth Wonder of the World" and the largest artificial island on the planet.

The next afternoon, the plane landed. Luo Zheng disembarked and was greeted by a wave of heat. He looked up to see the blazing sun in the sky and the vast desert in the distance. It was another city built on the desert, but unlike Gambling City, it was lined with skyscrapers, so tall that one had to look up to admire them, with an added touch of luxury.

Luo Zheng wasn't particularly interested in luxury. As he left the airport, a business car approached, and someone jumped out to warmly greet the consulate officer. He glanced casually at Luo Zheng and Lan Xue without asking anything further, and the consulate officer also didn't explain, just followed into the car.

Along the way, the consulate officer chatted enthusiastically with the other person. From the conversation, Luo Zheng learned that the other person was the local consulate. Seeing Lan Xue closing her eyes to recuperate from jet lag, Luo Zheng did the same. After a while, Luo Zheng opened his eyes, looking outside the window. On one side was the vast, undulating sea, and on the other side were rows of tall buildings. Luxury cars occasionally zipped past on the straight asphalt road.

The sea breeze gently stirred the palm trees along the shore. Tourists were everywhere, either taking photos, sitting idle, or strolling leisurely, looking content. To live freely was a blessing, Luo Zheng thought to himself, just as the person welcoming them said, "We're almost there, just ahead."

Soon, the car stopped in front of a courtyard house surrounded by lush green trees, with pink walls and dark tiles exuding an essence of Oriental culture. Luo Zheng took an immediate liking to this architectural style. After getting out of the car and entering the courtyard, he realized there were many rooms inside, with numerous people working in them.

The two were settled into a suite to rest, a three-bedroom and one living room type. Luo Zheng, sitting on a wooden sofa, said, "These people really know how to live. Such a nice working environment, way better than ours."

"It's the architectural planning here; you didn't notice, did you? The surrounding area is all villas, and this courtyard is considered modestly simple. The country needs to maintain appearances; too shabby just wouldn't do," Lan Xue said with a light smile, taking out her phone and dialing a number, asking, "Where are you now?"

After listening for a while, Lan Xue told Luo Zheng, "Little sister has arrived too, just got off the plane; she'll be here soon."

"Hmm, we need to act quickly. We're unfamiliar with the area and unable to find our way. Can the consulate arrange a vehicle and driver for us?" Luo Zheng asked.

"Yes, the consulate has a duty to assist our operations. You rest; I'll go arrange it." Lan Xue said, getting up and heading to a bedroom. She quickly washed her face and left in a hurry.

With nothing to do, Luo Zheng checked the room and found a map, feeling delighted and studying it intently. After a while, Lan Xue returned, saying that a dedicated person and vehicle had been arranged and were on standby at any time. Luo Zheng nodded in agreement and continued studying the map.

Before long, Lan Xing appeared excitedly at the door, joyfully saying, "It's so beautiful here; I don't want to go back. Sis, what exactly is your mission? Did that man bully you?"

"Being infatuated with foreigners and vainly ambiguous is not okay." Luo Zheng said calmly, lifting his head from the map. He saw Lan Xing in casual attire, carrying a backpack, her hair tied up, exuding an innocent aura, and couldn't help but smile, "You really think it's a vacation. Okay, if it's a vacation, just help me find the person."

"Can we pinpoint the target location?" Lan Xue also asked.

Seeing the serious expressions on their faces, Lan Xing knew the matter was significant. Not daring to act spoiled in front of work, she quickly opened her bag, started her laptop, pulled up a chair, and sat down, saying, "It'll be ready soon. What task is it? Can you tell me? Can I join you on the mission?"

"You can, but your task is rear support," Lan Xue said.

"I knew it, it's always like this, so boring. Future brother-in-law, last time when you went up against Charlie, you took me along for a frontline experience; it was exciting. Take me this time too, okay?" Lan Xing looked at Luo Zheng and said.

"I have no problem with it; your sister is the team leader, so I have to listen to her," Luo Zheng replied with a smile.

"I knew you two were in cahoots, humph." Lan Xing pouted and looked at the computer.

"What's with your vocabulary?" Lan Xue gave Lan Xing a small head tap and fixed her gaze on the screen.

"Don't worry. There's someone at headquarters keeping an eye on him, he can't get away." Lan Xing typed quickly on the keyboard, programs running constantly. Soon, Lan Xing said, "Done, he's at the Sailboat Hotel."

Luo Zheng asked for the room number and looked at Lan Xue, who nodded in understanding and said, "Do you have any earpieces? You stay here and support us remotely. We're going to grab the person."

Lan Xing immediately handed over two button-sized devices to them, saying, "The latest product from this lady's research, just pop it in your ear. I can hear you when you talk, be careful."

The two responded with a nod, put on silicone masks, and hurried out of the courtyard. Lan Xue saw a car, immediately signaled Luo Zheng to go over. After getting into the car, she handed over her credentials and told the driver, "Sailboat Hotel, fast."

"Understood." The driver glanced at the credentials and agreed, driving out of the parking lot.

Luo Zheng noted the driver's efficient demeanor, exuding a military vibe, and didn't ask much, conserving energy. Soon, the car stopped at the Sailboat Hotel's entrance. Lan Xue told the driver, "Be ready at the door, we'll be in and out quickly to find someone."

"Understood." The driver responded calmly without asking a single additional question.

The two got out and hurried to the hotel lobby. Luo Zheng looked at this hotel, called the "Arab Star," indeed resplendent and luxurious, living up to its status as the world's first 7-star hotel, but with matters at hand, he had no interest in admiring it. After exchanging a glance with Lan Xue, they rushed to the elevator.

At this moment, two men in black suits approached, walking steadily, breathing evenly, with cold gazes, looking very robust. Lan Xue casually glanced at them and linked her arm with Luo Zheng's, appearing like a petite, clingy lover, subtly pinching the soft flesh under Luo Zheng's arm.

Luo Zheng felt a familiar vibe from these two, but couldn't immediately recall where he'd seen them, becoming secretly cautious. Before confirming the opponent's identity and purpose, Luo Zheng didn't want extra complications. Soon, the elevator arrived; the two entered. Luo Zheng was about to press the elevator when he noticed the man in a black suit pressing the button for the 29th floor. He then discreetly pressed for the 28th floor, slyly giving Lan Xue a look.
