Strongest Soldier King

Chapter 932: A Complicated Situation

The sudden charge of the ambush was monitored by the satellite and quickly relayed to Luo Zheng. Luo Zheng was momentarily taken aback, instantly realizing that they had been monitored and their conversations intercepted, causing him to be greatly shocked. Since they were already exposed, there was no need to hide anymore, so he quickly asked, "Where is the Guerrilla now? How much longer until they arrive?"

"They'll be here in ten minutes, and another enemy force originally sent to intercept the Guerrilla is also advancing, expected to arrive in thirty minutes. The ambush at the front is about three kilometers away from you. What do you need us to do?" Lan Xing hurriedly said.

Luo Zheng listened and somewhat understood the enemy's intention. This was to entangle them and buy time for another unit. His expression darkened immediately, and he said, "We won't engage with the enemies in front; send me the coordinates of the Guerrilla, and we'll rendezvous with them."

"Understood." Lan Xing agreed.

"Have we been intercepted? Are your orders appropriate?" Lan Xue asked worriedly.

"There's no time to worry about that. As soon as we move, the enemy's satellite will detect us, and we'll be exposed anyway. Everyone, pack up and evacuate immediately." Luo Zheng said, picking up the GPS to lock on to the coordinates. After calculating the distance and direction, he led everyone in a rush towards the Guerrilla's direction.

The enemy's purpose is already clear, leaving one unit to cover and buy time for another force. The enemy in front is only about three kilometers away, and if entangled, escape would be impossible. Luo Zheng decided to make use of the time gap to rendezvous with the Guerrilla. The Guerrilla had cars, unlike the enemy. Riding in cars to escape and pursue the enemy ahead was the right plan.

Soon, Luo Zheng met up with the Guerrilla. There were more than a dozen cars, all filled with armed personnel equipped with the globally popular AK series rifles. Luo Zheng, looking at the old friend, stepped forward and embraced him gratefully, saying, "Boss, thank you for coming to help."

"No need for thanks. We've fought side by side despite our past misunderstandings. Besides, I'm no longer the boss, I'm the Commander of the Guerrilla, taking over my father's legacy, renamed Sarazi." The other party responded with a warm smile.

"Sarazi, that's a great name." Luo Zheng suddenly realized he'd forgotten the other's name, smiling awkwardly. Whether the name Sarazi was good or meant something, Luo Zheng couldn't be bothered to dwell on it and continued, "Let's skip the pleasantries; time is tight, let's pursue the other group of enemies right away."

"Another group of enemies?" Sarazi asked in surprise.

"Yes, the enemy split into three groups: one to intercept you, one to ambush us, and another fled with something. We must stop them. The groups intercepting and ambushing us are about to catch up, so we need to lose them as quickly as possible and catch up with the other group of enemies." Luo Zheng explained quickly.

Sarazi quickly understood, ordered one of the trunks to be cleared out, and the convoy changed direction. Luo Zheng and Sarazi sat at the front of a large truck, directing the convoy with GPS as they sped forward. Soon, they saw a pursuing team charging towards them from about two or three kilometers away. Luo Zheng coldly watched the team, noticing someone stopped to set up a sniper rifle, and said, "Speed up and rush through."

"Okay." Sarazi agreed wholeheartedly, babbling into the walkie-talkie. The convoy immediately picked up speed, and everyone sat down, hiding in the cabs to avoid bullets. The distance was enough that even the best sniper posed limited threat.

Perhaps realizing it was impossible, the other side didn't shoot, and the distance quickly increased. Luo Zheng breathed a sigh of relief and said, "Old friend, how many people did you bring this time? Whose turf lies ahead?"

"Three hundred people. More wouldn't fit in the cars. But if you need, I can bring in another five hundred. Ahead is another warlord's territory. Crossing over is fine with a word of warning. If a fight breaks out, it's tricky—that's the rule. I'm not very familiar with them; I heard Sam Country backs them, but the details are unclear," Sarazi stated.

"So, they might help Sam Country?" Luo Zheng quickly pressed, looking at Sarazi with serious eyes. If they sided with Sam Country, wouldn't that offer aid to the enemies ahead? After some thought, he asked, "Is there a way to contact them? Also, how long does it take from here to your country's capital?"

"Contacting is easy, but they might not heed me. Their forces are larger, around two to three thousand, and well-equipped. From here, driving to the capital takes three days, walking a week. It crosses gobi, hills, and many small villages along the way. Why?" Sarazi asked curiously.

Luo Zheng's expression grew even graver. He paused and was about to say something when he suddenly saw a person ahead, riding fast towards them on horseback, a rifle on their back, face covered, and dressed like a local. Sarazi quickly signaled the driver to stop, explaining, "This is someone sent by the local warlord; ten more minutes and we're out of their territory."

"I'll go down with you to meet them," Luo Zheng proposed.

"That's breaking protocol. Let me handle it first to avoid misunderstandings. Don't worry, we're in the same boat now, and I know what to do," Sarazi quickly replied, taking the walkie-talkie to relay some instructions. Soon, someone jumped from a truck behind and walked over.

Luo Zheng waited in the compartment. Before long, the person sent by Sarazi returned, looking very troubled, said something to Sarazi, and went back. Luo Zheng noticed the rider turned back and left, his curiosity mounting as he looked at Sarazi, eyes glinting as he tightened his brow, asking, "What's happening?"

"They won't let us cross into their territory; otherwise, it's seen as provoking war. The enemies we're pursuing are just ahead. It seems they've decided to back Sam Country's people; there might be some agreement between them. What should we do?" Sarazi reported honestly, his face also grim.

Luo Zheng saw things indeed unfold into the least desirable outcome, his heart sinking as he stood there, eyes narrowing in thought. In his earpiece, Lan Xue's voice sounded, "If we can't, then take out the two pursuing groups behind us, hurt them first. Also, Sarazi could rally more troops up ahead; it's a long road to their capital with possibly many warlord forces along the way. One warlord can only protect them for a while, not forever."

"Old friend, can you quickly rally more men to block the roads ahead?" Luo Zheng asked, his heavy eyes flickering with expectation. The situation had grown complicated, slightly spiraling out of control. He could only seek more help, bound to involve Sarazi, this local power.
