Chapter 933: Moves from All Sides
Upon hearing this, Sarazi understood immediately, thought for a moment, and said, "Three hundred kilometers from here is another Guerrilla's territory, with over a thousand armed men. I'm somewhat familiar with them; they don't have a political stance. As long as the conditions are right, we could pull them to our side. Do you want me to send someone to try?"
"Alright, you can set the conditions; we'll handle it." Luo Zheng agreed assuredly.
"Then it's settled." Sarazi agreed wholeheartedly, took out his phone, dialed a number, and spoke a bunch of gibberish before quickly hanging up. He looked at Luo Zheng with a troubled expression and said, "They seem to have heard about this and are remaining neutral, unwilling to offend either side. What do you think?"
"Forget it." Luo Zheng's expression changed, anger flaring up, and he resolutely said, "Return to the original route. I remember there's a place perfect for an ambush. Let's take out the pursuers behind us first. Could you send someone over to intercept and slow down their speed?"
"Okay, I'll arrange it immediately." Sarazi promised readily.
"Ghost, I suggest you don't engage with the pursuers behind. Bypass the military forces ahead and reach out to the Guerrilla that Sarazi mentioned. They want to stay neutral, right? Kidnap, threaten, or push them. Your goal is to consolidate that Guerrilla under Sarazi's control, expand his power, cut off the enemy's retreat, and make things much easier for us. But you must act swiftly." Hong Meihua's voice resonated through the earpiece. Indeed, she is the ace of the secret front line, accurate in her insights.
Luo Zheng was taken aback, suddenly feeling as though he'd pierced through the fog. His eyes lit up as several ideas flooded his mind, making him smile, "This strategic layout is excellent. Whoever disagrees, we'll eliminate them, expand Sarazi's power, and perhaps even support him in gaining greater authority. This country will be ours in the future."
"That's the idea, but it's difficult. Sam Country has done similar things before. Supporting a regime is not easy and involves many complications. But you can follow this line of thought; at the very least, it will expand Sarazi's power, making things easier for us later." Hong Meihua praised Luo Zheng for grasping her intent.
With a new direction in mind, Luo Zheng signaled the convoy to stop, and with a serious expression, he said to Sarazi, "Old friend, dare to play big with me?"
"What do you mean?" Sarazi cautiously asked.
"Didn't you say that Guerrilla wants to remain neutral? Why don't we assist you in consolidating that group? How about it?" Luo Zheng proposed, his fierce gaze burning with fighting spirit.
The country is rife with military factions, mutual attacks, and annexations are commonplace. Sarazi is no saint either. He collaborates with Luo Zheng to find a strong backer and gain more support. Hearing Luo Zheng's words, he was immediately delighted and contemplated the feasibility of this matter. He found it extremely difficult but then smiled wryly, "What's your plan?"
Seeing that Sarazi was interested, Luo Zheng felt relieved and said, "We'll disguise ourselves as your entourage to meet them. We'll act according to circumstances. Once you control him, you should be able to take over the group, right?"
"Hard to say, but it's worth trying." Sarazi saw that Luo Zheng wasn't joking, gritted his teeth, and agreed. In pursuit of wealth amid risk, Sarazi used to not mind, nor ponder on expansion. But now, inheriting his father's business, he has to consider many things. In this chaotic country, it's either kill or be killed. To survive, you must be ruthless and ambitious.
The convoy immediately changed direction, speeding away rapidly. Throughout the journey, Sarazi constantly mobilized his forces. Since they'd decided to act, everything had to be foolproof, with the additional thought of showcasing his strength to Luo Zheng. As a cooperative partner, weakness could easily lead to abandonment. Luo Zheng represents Huaxia Country, a great power equivalent to Sam Country. Sarazi didn't want to miss such an opportunity.
──
Under the Embassy of Sam Country in Huaxia Country, the ambassador, martial arts hall leader, and squad leader watched the screen quietly. On the screen was the image of Sarazi's convoy bypassing the military forces ahead. The squad leader, in charge of the operation, had anticipated that Luo Zheng would attack the military ahead and might redirect to combat the pursuers behind, but hadn't expected that Luo Zheng would ignore everything and move forward with an unclear intention. What is this all about?
The ambassador also watched the screen with a solemn expression, thought for a moment, then looked at the martial arts hall leader and said, "You know more about military operations than I do; what's their game? Explain please."
The ambassador and martial arts hall leader were assisting the squad leader's execution of the operation. The ambassador managed external affairs, the martial arts hall leader handled military matters, and the squad leader commanded everything comprehensively. Even the martial arts hall leader was puzzled and looked at the squad leader skeptically. Seeing the squad leader's anxious expression, the martial arts hall leader felt a bit relieved. Though they didn't know the squad leader's identity, the martial arts hall leader knew it well. Despite being just a squad leader, he reported directly to the President and was beyond the realm of provocation. If the squad leader didn't have a perfect plan, it wasn't a big issue that he couldn't see through it either.
While mulling through these thoughts, the ambassador urged, "Martial arts hall leader, where are they headed? Aren't they concerned that our people could decrypt and transmit the documents?"
The martial arts hall leader pondered and then smiled wryly, "Ambassador, the documents are encrypted and require special equipment to activate. That country is too impoverished to have such equipment. We can send the equipment, but it would take two to three days. During this period, many things could happen. As for their destination, they definitely won't confront the military forces directly ahead; they're likely trying to block the path."
"No, it's not that simple," the squad leader suddenly interjected, drawing the ambassador and martial arts hall leader's attention. But he said no more, plunging into deep thought, which confused both of them. Just when they were about to inquire further, the squad leader suddenly said, "They must be seeking aid from the armed forces ahead."
"Should our Special Agent get there first to draw that armed force over?" the martial arts hall leader suggested. Although a force of over a thousand armed men wouldn't usually catch Sam Country's attention, the present circumstances were exceptional and justified special handling.
"A quick result is unlikely, but we could promise them something to ensure they remain neutral. You go arrange that." The squad leader commanded coldly, showing a confident expression as his gaze shifted to the alluring woman behind him.
"Understood," the alluring woman responded promptly, turning to walk out.
"Shouldn't you contact your headquarters about this?" the ambassador kindly suggested.
"No need." The squad leader waved his hand impatiently, eyes locked on the screen, lost in thought.
