Chapter 643: The Demon's and Flaming Rose Meeting

The sky cracked open as the swirling blue portals expanded, light pouring from their depths like the gates of heaven themselves had descended onto the battlefield.

From within them emerged colossal figures—scaled beasts with enormous wings, armored claws, and eyes that shimmered like polished gemstones.

Dragons.

Real ones.

Each dragon stood tall, their forms massive enough to blot out the sun for those underneath. Their wings folded in as they landed in perfect synchronization, causing a mild tremor through the cracked ground.

Students screamed. Some tripped backward. Others reached for their weapons with shaky hands.

"What the hell is that!?"

"D-Dragons?! Are they tamed?! Is that even possible?!"

"I thought those things went extinct on the human continent!"

"No… they're coming for us!"

Panic rippled through the crowd like wildfire.

Bridget's eyes narrowed. "Fire, water, wind, earth, lightning… and light."

Elemental dragons?

This wasn't the first time Bridget had seen a dragon, but it was the first time she was seeing different elemental types—and so many at once.

The students were already preparing for battle when a voice thundered.

"Stand down."

Just two words. But the tone behind them made everyone freeze.

The dragons halted their advance and bowed their heads low toward the boy.

It was not submission born of fear. It was reverence.

Wendy blinked slowly, her mouth slightly agape. "…They're yours?"

Nox stepped forward, facing the crowd.

"They are mine," he said. "My pets."

Gasps spread like waves.

"Pets?!" someone whispered in disbelief.

"Is he serious?"

"That's impossible!"

One of the water dragons—Celestis—lowered its snout and gave a low, rumbling purr as Nox patted its scaled forehead.

The students stared, mouths agape, as if reality itself had glitched before their eyes.

"These creatures have chosen to serve me of their own will," Nox continued. "They are not threats. They are allies. And they will be the reason we leave this island alive."

He turned toward the dragons and gave a mental command. They responded with guttural sounds and lowered their bodies to the ground, wings spread partially open, creating a slope.

"Everyone, climb aboard," he ordered. "We're flying out of here."

Bridget was the first to break the stunned silence.

"You heard him! Everyone, move! Formation by class—don't crowd the dragons, and follow the boarding lines!"

Even she didn't question him. Not now.

The students started moving cautiously, whispering to one another.

"I knew he had that weird ability to tame beasts, but even a freaking dragon? Not one but so many?"

"How strong is this guy, really?"

As the crowd began organizing and loading onto the dragons, Nyx stepped closer.

"Grandfather would really love one of them," she said with a small grin.

Nox frowned as he suddenly recalled the situation with Doombringer. "Right."

At that moment, Jack walked past, giving him a thumbs-up. "Alright, dragon boy. I'm officially jealous."

Wendy remained close, clinging to Nox's sleeve like a child afraid of being left behind again. Her eyes never left the dragons.

"They're beautiful…" she whispered.

The dragons let out soft, guttural rumbles—almost pleased by the compliment.

One of the students at the front frowned. "Are they really safe?"

Nyx nodded. "Yeah. Safer than being on this cursed island."

Soon, everyone was aboard. Some sat in saddle-like grooves on the dragons' backs. Others secured themselves using mana ropes conjured by Bridget and a few surviving instructors.

Once the final check was completed, Nox turned his gaze to the academy one last time and whispered, "We're leaving."

Then he raised a hand and clenched his fist.

The dragons roared in unison—earth-shaking, sky-piercing bellows of dominance—and their wings spread wide.

In a matter of moments, the flight began.

WHOOSH!

They took off one after another, wings beating the air with thunderous gusts. Wind howled as they climbed skyward.

The world below became smaller and smaller.

The royal island faded into the mist.

The students clung tightly, their hearts pounding—not from fear anymore, but awe.

For many, it was their first time flying. For others, it was their first time seeing the world from this high.

Clouds passed by in streaks of white.

Above them, the sky was impossibly blue.

For a while… there was peace.

Until someone broke the silence.

"So… what now?" Jack asked, his voice muffled slightly by the wind.

Standing near the edge of a lightning dragon, Nox replied, "We'll continue with our initial plan—to head to my hometown. After that, we'll make plans on how to handle the situation."

He paused, clenching his fist.

'I'm not planning on abandoning my kingdom… like the Dragon Realm.'

Meanwhile, far from the royal island, in the villa that once belonged to the Silver Noble family, several dark figures sat around a black marble table that seemed to blend into the shadows.

The air was tense, and a suffocating pressure filled the space. If a normal Awakened stepped into this place, the sheer pressure might make them lose their ability to breathe and weaken their knees.

But each of the countless robed figures seemed to perfectly withstand the pressure.

On one side of the table sat demons—some horned, while others appeared nearly human.

On the other, cloaked figures bearing the burning symbol of the Flaming Rose.

At the head of the table sat a single red-skinned man with two large horns.

At the opposite end, a beautiful woman with red eyes and raven-black hair crossed her legs with indifference. Her gaze was cold and distant, as if she saw everyone else in the room as little more than insects.

"Shall we proceed with the meeting?" Eve said.
