Chapter 1107: Rise of the Forest Elven Tribe IV
Defeating a Divine Lifeform was never supposed to be easy. It was even less likely for a greater race to lose to an inferior race when they were at the same rank.
Forest Elves were always known as a superior race. They weren’t even stronger than Lesser Humans. On the contrary, High Elves were on par with Hyumans. Some of them were strong enough to reach the threshold of a god. They formed a Divinity and left the realm of the High Elves to pursue greater goals.
Everyone had always said that. The truth, however, was that the High Elven gods were too afraid to stay with their race. They left their people because they were afraid of the Primal. Even now that the Primal had returned to their original purpose and form as the Guardians of the Origin, the High Elven Gods never returned.
Either they were dead or hiding somewhere, still afraid of potential trouble. What IF someone like the Primal would return or the Guardians would transform into the Primal again? The High Elven Gods didn’t want to take the risk.
Lilica had known about that for a while. She knew everything about the High Elven Gods because Michael told her everything. She had asked Michael about the High Elven Gods, who asked other Gods about it. Yet, nobody had ever heard of the High Elven Gods. It was almost like they never existed in the first place. Like…they ceased to exist moments after attaining godhood.
The High Elves wanted to distract from the loss of their gods or their disappearance by ruling the Elven Union with a strong hand. They wanted to dominate the Elven Union and crush everyone threatening their control. The Forest Elves weren’t even trying to usurp the High Elves’ position at the throne of the Elven Union, but the Elven Elders were at an all-time high. The Forest Elves were stronger than ever and wanted to pursue greater heights.
That was how everything ended in this mess. It was troublesome. Lilica didn’t like that the High Elves came to challenge them officially or that the Elven Elders accepted the challenge and the wager. The Elven Elders were full of themselves after everything Lilica and her people had achieved and desired more.
"If you wish to end the challenge, we can do that too. We can end the challenge in a draw and develop a better solution," Lilica said.

"What are you talking about?" One of the Elven Elders thundered, but Lilica didn’t allow anyone to speak with her like that. A quarter of a second passed, and Lilica retrieved a spear and hurled it between the Elven Elder’s legs with great force. The spear disappeared into the ground until only a few centimeters of its shaft jut from the ground.
"Shut up and listen carefully, Giltor," Lilica growled, "We didn’t sacrifice our lives to claim the Elven Union’s throne. We did so to improve our lives and grow strong enough to protect this place. I don’t care how selfish you are and that you ’want’ to be at the top of the Elven Union. You should keep your lips sealed if you cannot fight for it on your own, which you can’t because you are the weakest among the Elven Elders. Or I will shut your mouth for you!"
She didn’t turn around right away, "As for the spear. You know damn well that I missed intentionally. The next time you talk nonsense around me, the spear will hit. I don’t care if you die. Maybe that would make my life a lot easier!"
Elder Giltor swallowed hard. His cheeks were beet-red, but he dared not utter a single sound. Lilica was dead serious. Everyone was aware of that. Even the High Elves could tell that Lilica wasn’t joking around.
She turned to the High Elves with a heavy sigh, "Do you want to keep going? If you lose, you will lose your spot at the top of the Elven Union."
She looked at one of them, "You must be the crown prince. Did you know that bringing the Empyreal Sigil during an official match means that you possess the authority of the High Elven Empress? You must have known about that, otherwise, you wouldn’t have come here to claim our trading rights with the New Primal. Or did you think your mother would come to your rescue if you were to lose this official challenge, which you didn’t expect until I turned up."
The High Elves present weren’t the strongest among their people. They were youngsters who had advanced to Divine Lifeforms only a few decades ago. Most were still Tier-7 Awakened and far away from becoming Demi Gods. The Empress was already a Demi-God and would have been a much better choice if they challenged any elven races for anything. But she wasn’t present. However, the crown prince and his ’friends’ were present wit the Empyreal Sigil. That was why the Elven Elders of the Forest Elven Tribe accepted the challenge in the first place.
They were confident Llica and her people could deal with the Tier-7 High Elves and claim the throne while the Empress wasn’t present.
"What would happen if I were to inform the High Elven Empress about your actions?"
The crown prince paled. The last traces of color in his face were drained, and his eyes bulged in terror as the words streamed out of Lilica’s lips.
"Your mother knows nothing about this," Lilica sighed deeply and turned to the Elven Elders, "What do you think the High Elf Empress would say about this? Would she be like, ’Ohh, my son stole my Empyreal Seal and challenged you officially? Do I have to give up my throne now? Of course, I will surrender my throne to you guys. I don’t care.’ Don’t kid yourself. She will be furious and would much rather eliminate the Forest Elven Tribe before she would be willing to surrender her throne."
Suddenly, a silver portal opened behind the High Elves, and a middle-aged High Elf stepped out. She looked just like the crown prince and smiled at Lilica.
"You are a smart woman. Unfortunately, you’re not a High Elf, otherwise, I would have made you my daughter-in-law," She said, still smiling vibrantly.
But at the same time, a heavy fist crashed into the crown prince’s face, crushing his nose and jaw simultaneously.
"You’re too good to marry an idiot like this, though. What a shame."
