Chapter 10: Chapter 9: A Hunter’s Fury

Chapter 9: A Hunter's Fury

Beacon Hills – The Battle Escalates

The air crackled with tension.

Scott barely had time to react before the Necromancer's undead army surged forward, their grotesque forms clawing at the air with skeletal fingers and hollow, soulless eyes. Their screeches filled the room, a terrible symphony of death.

Scott leapt into action, his claws extending, his golden eyes glowing fiercely. He slashed through the nearest ghoul, its body disintegrating into black mist.

But more replaced it.

Too many.

Behind him, Argent fired round after round, his bullets laced with silver and mountain ash, cutting through the horde with brutal efficiency.

Lydia stood beside Stiles, her voice shaky. "We need to get out of here."

Stiles gripped his bat tighter. "And go where? It's not like we can outrun the undead!"

The Necromancer watched them with an eerie stillness, his dark aura pulsing. Then, he raised a single hand—

And the walls of the room cracked open, revealing an abyss of writhing shadows.

Scott's breath caught. He's trying to pull us in.

"Nobody move!" he called out.

Too late.

One by one, the shadows latched onto their ankles, dragging them toward the black void.

Lydia screamed, clutching Stiles as the darkness swallowed them. Argent fired at the tendrils, but the bullets vanished into the abyss.

Scott dug his claws into the floor, struggling against the pull. His heart pounded. He couldn't let this happen.

Then—

A violent explosion of light erupted.

The Hunter Leader Returns

The Hunter Leader stepped forward, his body glowing with golden energy. His inhuman reflexes had already mapped the battlefield, analyzing every movement, every weakness.

With a flick of his wrist, he unsheathed his blade, the silver edge shimmering with holy radiance.

The Necromancer barely had time to react before the Hunter Leader moved.

Faster than sight. Faster than thought.

One second he was standing still—

The next, he was behind the Necromancer.

His blade slashed downward, a crescent of holy light following its path.

The Necromancer howled, black blood spraying into the air as the attack tore through his shoulder.

The shadows retreated instantly, releasing Scott and the others from their grasp.

Scott staggered back, breathing heavily. "How…?"

The Hunter Leader didn't answer. He simply stepped forward, his golden aura intensifying, his eyes locked onto the Necromancer.

"You're not as untouchable as you think," he said, his voice calm, almost mocking.

The Necromancer snarled, his red eyes burning. "You cannot stop the inevitable. The Drach have already begun. The Neamoton will fall. And when it does—"

The Hunter Leader vanished.

And reappeared mid-air, directly above the Necromancer.

His blade came down like a meteor, glowing with divine fury.

The Necromancer barely managed to raise a wall of shadows—but it wasn't enough.

The impact shattered the ground beneath them, sending shockwaves through the building.

Scott was forced back by the sheer force of the blow, barely keeping his balance.

When the dust settled, the Necromancer was kneeling, his form flickering between corporeal and spectral.

He was weakened.

Scott saw his chance.

He lunged forward—his claws glowing with moonlight energy—aiming for the Necromancer's heart.

But the Necromancer lifted his hand, and the shadows lashed out once more, forcing Scott back.

The Hunter Leader's voice was cold. "You're running out of tricks."

The Necromancer smirked, blood dripping from his lips. "Am I?"

Then—the shadows twisted unnaturally, converging into a single mass.

The entire room dimmed, the very air turning thick with death.

Scott's instincts screamed at him. Something was wrong.

Then—the ground split open.

From the abyss, a towering figure emerged.

It was not undead.

It was not human.

A true demon.

Demon of the Abyss

The creature stood nearly ten feet tall, its body covered in jagged black armor. Its eyes were burning pits of crimson fire, and its mouth split into rows of needle-like fangs.

Scott felt the sheer pressure of its presence.

This was something far beyond what they had faced before.

The Necromancer stood, breathing heavily. "Meet one of the first generals of the abyss. A mere taste of what is to come."

The demon let out a monstrous roar, shaking the very foundations of the building.

Scott clenched his fists. This is bad.

The Hunter Leader remained unfazed.

His golden aura flared brighter.

Scott turned to him. "We need a plan."

The Hunter Leader smirked.

"There's no plan."

Scott blinked. "What?"

The Hunter Leader cracked his neck, then gripped his blade tighter.

"I'm just going to kill it."

And with that—

He charged.
