Chapter 153: Refusal Of Mercy
The children of the eight greed kings continued crying. All except for one, really brave girl. "Miss, what is going to happen now?" This girl was brave, and refused to look back.
"Hmm, well, here's the issue. Your mothers there, they are all carrying." Night Silver mentioned, picking the girl up and sitting her on her lap. "Those children will be fine. However, what happens to you now, depends. How much damage did your father do? And whether or not you convert all your familial bonds to me and me alone." She explained.
The girl, not quite understanding what that all meant, tilted her head. "I don't understand."
"Well, in your case, you have a much higher chance of living a good life." Night Silver patted her head. "For you to truly become a child of mine, you'll need to have a skinship with me. I must admit I'd rather use all of you for another thing. After all, it is a far better use of my efforts to do that, then just accept you as my own." She continued.
"But I don't want to leave my mommy." The brave girl jumped down and ran back to her own mother. And nuzzled in there.
"I see, this will be your last chance. If you refuse my mercy once more, you will never get another chance, no matter how much you beg." Night Silver said with a powerful tone, and glare in her eyes.
The mothers and children were confused. But they made it seem like they were thinking, in hopes of getting more time to break things down.
Issanth glared, annoyed that these women would dare refuse the kindest salvation they'd ever get. "Sister, I think it's time. They have refused your offer of mercy in favor of the suffering that will accompany them. I only ask you'll allow me to witness some of the stuff you plan on doing to them."
"Huh? But we haven't decided yet-"
"Bullshit, the moment you didn't accept her loving grace immediately, is the moment you failed." Issanth growled back.
Night Silver started laughing. "You know, Issanth, I really was going to give them a chance. But, I don't want to anymore. Their inaction is far better for me than not. Isn't that right, my darling wife, Anastasi?"
"Yep, these women and children, I was surprised you even wanted to give them a chance." Anastasi giggled. "But, the fact they didn't take your mercy, and opted for the wrath of someone who killed their mates, and fathers, for attacking her children… I'm shocked that they didn't come around by at least that point. But the worst crime… Well, you already know it."
"Yeah, they refused me. They'd ally themselves with the worst type of evil, and then dare to call my actions evil. They'll soon see how wrong they were." Night Silver's smile was concerning. There's nothing left to redeem any of them. And now… I'm going to make them be of help to me whether they like it or not. "Oh, how I'm anxious to see their expressions. People who refuse my aid… Time to go…"
A portal appeared, and these people were utterly confused. "Huh?"
"Go through the portal. No delay, my patience with you has already worn thin."
The women and children of the eight greed kings didn't move a muscle, they were too scared too. Though one uttered. "So this is a mother's anger…"
"Hmm? Oh, I'm just getting started. You see, I'm not satisfied with the way things are right now. And you're all going to be playing a huge role in fixing that for me." Night Silver clapped softly.
After a bit these unfortunate souls who refused to accept the last shred of mercy they'd ever be offered… They went through the portal. What they found on the other side was a room. And several small flying creatures, the fae. This room had a forest inside. And was truly huge. There was already a rather numerous spread of mundane homes throughout the forest.
One of the creatures flew over. "Welcome mommy! I missed you!" It was one of the boys. "Ah, I love you so much!" He said landing upon Night Silver's breast.
"Pfft, you're all just as cute as ever." She giggled. "Is everything prepared?"
"Yes, we built them all a special housing option for them all to make them feel welcomed, and free of any fear." The fae child smiled, expecting praise like normal. Then he got the finger sized head pat, but it didn't carry the same feeling. "Mommy, what's wrong?"
"They denied me. And all the work you'd put into building this place. I'm sorry, my child." Night Silver teared up. "I had you do so much work, and it was for not."
The fae creature flew up and kissed Night Silver on her nose and once on her upper lip. "It's okay mommy, we all love you. And that'll never change! Mommy is the best mommy!" He smiled, then joined by many others, all smiling as well.
"Wait, this is what you were planning to do for us?"
"Shut up swine!" The fae creatures yelled at the rude woman.
"Mother, we can build the other thing instead, real quick." They all started saying things like that.
"Sure, make it so there's no way for them to die. They are now a precious resource, still not as highly rated as my children." She said, all but crying. "Also, the women are pregnant as it is right now. Since they were unable to give an answer, I will allow them a chance to give the right one."
"Mother…"
"Should I not? I already promised as much. I know that the families who'll take them won't like it so much…"
"I don't like it, they aren't worthy of your love, mother!"
"That's right, they denied you!"
The fae began crying…
"And even so, mother, you're so kind. No one could ever go wrong loving you."
"Alright fools! Strip your clothes, you've abandoned the right to have them."
"Huh?" They all just paused confused. A fae of the wind wasn't having this, so the air cut all of the clothes these people had been wearing, to shreds. "What?"
"Your lives are now in our hands." The fae crossed her arms, looking at the specimens in her view. "Mother, we'll make sure to take good care of them." The smirk was one of thrill, and yet it sent a chill down the now naked and scared people. "Their lives of luxury have long since come to an end."
