Chapter 348: [348] The Past Half Month
After completing his status update, Eiji dressed himself and took the two parchments handed to him by Loki.
"Swordsman A? Well, that was expected."
Comparing the two parchments, Eiji summarized the gains from this update.
He had just learned the Twin Wings Style—a swordsmanship that transcended human limits, a realm no ordinary person could ever hope to enter. If anything, he was more surprised that his Swordsman developmental ability hadn't risen to S-rank.
Perhaps it was because what he had learned so far was only the basics of the Twin Wings Style. The true form of this technique was far more terrifying than what he currently grasped.
If he could fully master the Twin Wings Style, he would likely reach S-rank—a level that would make even most gods concede defeat.
Beyond that, his Dexterity and Agility had once again reached their absolute limits, while his Strength and Endurance had finally broken through the 999 barrier, entering the realm of SS.
But why had his limits suddenly been surpassed?
"Probably because you completed a true 'adventure'!"
When he voiced this question to Loki, she quickly provided an answer.
"At its core, Falna is a catalyst for unlocking potential. As long as you undergo a genuine adventure, you can break through your own limits. That's the most fundamental principle of Falna!"
So that was it.
It seemed that his battle with Twin-Wings had allowed him to surpass his previous ceiling.
Thinking about it, not only had she bestowed upon him the Twin Wings Style, but she had also helped him break his limits and tempered his spirit. Miss Twin-Wings was truly a good person!
Eiji silently gave a thumbs-up to the silver-haired Valkyrie who wasn't present.
"But why is my new developmental ability Escape?"
"There weren't any other options!"
Loki spread her hands, feigning innocence. "It must be because you kept running away in battles before. The records of Falna don't lie!"
"And don't underestimate it. Even though the name sounds bad, Escape is an incredibly rare developmental ability. It only has a chance to appear after reaching Level 4, and it greatly enhances your survival. It's actually super useful!"
Eiji did recall escaping quite often in the past.
Especially back when he had just started exploring the Dungeon and was still weak. Whenever his intuition warned him of an insurmountable threat, he wouldn't hesitate to turn tail and run. With Absolute GodSpeed as his safety net, he always managed to escape unscathed.
It seemed the Falna had unearthed this trait during his level-up.
If this ability truly only appeared after Level 4, then it really might be rare. And anything that improved survivability couldn't be a bad thing.
"Fine."
Eiji reluctantly accepted it.
But an ability called "Escape" was seriously embarrassing—he'd definitely be mocked if people found out.
Decision made: he wouldn't tell anyone!
If asked, he'd just say he didn't get any new developmental ability upon reaching Level 5. That was a possible outcome, after all.
"By the way, how many days have I been gone?"
"You don't even know that?"
"I lost track."
"Thirteen days in total."
"Did the Ishtar Familia cause any trouble during that time?"
"Relax, Freya took care of all the trouble this time! Ishtar's been busy picking fights with Freya lately—she hasn't even glanced our way!"
Loki wore a gleeful expression.
Good.
Eiji nodded to himself in secret. It seemed Freya was true to her word—his efforts in selling his masculine charms hadn't been in vain.

The moment he descended the stairs, Eiji found himself surrounded.
"Prince, you've already reached Level 5?!"
"That's incredible! It's only been half a month since you reached Level 4!"
"Calculating it this way, he became Level 5 in less than three months… Honestly, the gap is so vast it makes competing feel pointless."
The entire familia was buzzing with excitement.
Every member still present, regardless of gender, had gathered in the hall, crowding around Eiji with looks of admiration, worship, or even affection.
"Eiji!!"
Amidst an overjoyed shriek, the crowd parted like waves.
A brown-skinned Amazonian sister barged through from the outer circle, pushing aside strong contenders like Alicia, and threw herself at him with enough force to knock over a rhinoceros. She wrapped her limbs around him like an octopus, inhaling his scent with deep satisfaction.
"That's so unfair, Tiona!"
"Don't hog him all to yourself!"
The group of beauties, led by Alicia, erupted in outrage.
The hall descended into chaos.
Eiji used to spend a lot of time with the familia, so everyone had been relatively reserved, not wanting to act like obsessive fans when they saw him daily.
But this time, he'd been away for nearly half a month. The girls had been restless, some even slipping into depression. His return, combined with the shock of his level-up, shattered their restraint, turning them into a frenzy of adoration.
Talk about scarcity marketing.
"Silence!"
Just as the noise reached its peak, an irritated shout cut through the commotion.
"Look at yourselves! What kind of state is this?!"
A fairy with emerald-green hair strode into the hall, her expression stormy.
"Eiji just returned from the Dungeon. Shouldn't you let him rest? Have you no consideration at all?"
Her beauty surpassed even the goddess's, and though her jade-like eyes burned with anger, her steps remained as graceful as a noble's. An air of matriarchal authority radiated from her.
"Riveria…"
"Sorry…"
The reprimand from the elven royalty cooled the girls' fervor. They cast apologetic glances at Eiji, even Tiona reluctantly releasing him with a pout.
To be fair…
That earlier commotion hadn't been so bad.
Freed from the tangle of soft limbs, Eiji wiped away traces of saliva left by some overeager admirer.
Then he felt a persistent gaze.
Looking up, he spotted the golden-haired girl standing timidly at the edge of the crowd, seemingly uncomfortable with the lively atmosphere. She hadn't joined the rush but watched quietly from afar.
Meeting his eyes, she blinked, then after a brief pause, curved her lips into a smile.
"Welcome back."
Her silent greeting carried a relieved warmth.
"I'm back."
Eiji naturally responded in kind.
Receiving his response, Ais felt an indescribable warmth welling up from the depths of her heart. A faint smile, so fleeting it might have been an illusion, involuntarily appeared on her delicate, expressionless face before vanishing instantly.
Lefiya stood beside Ais, silently observing the entire wordless exchange between them. A sudden sense of urgency surged within her.
Yet no one could tell for whom this urgency truly arose.
