Chapter 176: Land Birds and the Stone of Creation
Lake Shore Village.
On the watchtower outside the village.
Two soldiers were standing guard on the watchtower.
Suddenly, one soldier widened his eyes, his mouth agape, furiously patting his comrade beside him.
"What's wrong, what is it?" the soldier asked in confusion. He turned his head and also widened his eyes.
With quick reflexes, he took the horn from his waist and blew it hard.
"Woo woo woo!"
As the horn sounded, the entire village immediately went into battle readiness.
The Count, Ichard, and others charged out of the village fully armed with soldiers.
Two Ogres also stepped forward, carrying large wooden clubs in their big steps.
Blake and the others, who had returned just two days ago, quickly rushed to support.
However, when they gathered, what they saw was a majestic group of giant bird creatures they had never seen before.
Even more surprising was that the leaders were actually people riding on the birds' backs.
Do they know these people?
Bobo rode a Land Bird and arrived in front of the Count and others a step ahead.
"What's going on with you guys?" the Count asked in confusion.
"Those are the Land Birds Kana tamed. He plans to use them as mounts."
Kana didn't lead the Land Birds directly in front of them. Instead, he skirted around to the other side of the river and entered the jungle on the other side.
There was an orchard there, but the fruits in that orchard didn't taste very good, and were a bit astringent.
After they picked some initially, they hadn't eaten much of it once the grain arrived.
It's just the thing to temporarily cultivate these Land Birds, letting them settle in the orchard.
Land Birds aren't picky eaters.
The crisis was averted.
The Dwarves and Raelia also returned to the village, bringing Kana's words to the Count.
Soon, two Ogres carried a large amount of timber with many villagers following behind and arrived around the orchard. They began to build a fence around the orchard, enclosing it completely.
The two Ogres even wanted to catch Land Birds to eat, but Kana gave them a hard beating.
The two Ogres were aggrieved.
This place would become the breeding ground for Land Birds in the future.
For now, the primary person responsible for their breeding was Kana.
It was not until late at night that the Land Birds were temporarily settled, and more sheds would need to be built later.
Kana wiped the sweat from his forehead, his datafied body thoroughly exhausted for these Land Birds.
As for Grey Fang, who came along with them, he roamed freely in the surrounding forests since Kana and his group had no reason to restrain him.
Even so, he mainly stayed in the orchard area.
After a night's rest, they held a meeting the next morning at the Night Watcher's outpost.
Blake and the others successfully completed their mission, and Kana received two fragments from them.
"Well done. The group of Land Birds I brought back will be the main mode of transportation for the Night Watchers in the future.
If you're interested, you can choose one and raise it well; they are excellent mounts, even better than horses. Treat them well for me."
Hearing this, Blake and the others immediately became interested.
Kana did not disturb them any further and returned to his own tent with the fragments.
Looking at the three pieces of the Stone of Creation laid before him.
Two of the fragments clearly looked as if they came from the same Stone of Creation.
But the problem was these two fragments did not connect, meaning they couldn't be pieced together.
Although Kana had anticipated this, how he wished he had remembered these minor details incorrectly.
The third fragment was a solitary piece.
In the following period, any fragments obtained would neither connect with it nor be from the same Stone of Creation.
This fragment could be used.
The other two fragments needed to be kept for a future opportunity to seize some from the Blood Race, hoping to find pieces that could fit together.
Considering the time.
The Royal Court of the Blood Race should already have begun its offensive against the surrounding forces.
So should this fragment be used to construct the Profession System?
With this thought, Kana gripped the solitary fragment tightly and closed his eyes.
After quite a while, he opened his eyes, but the fragment was still unused.
"This is not what I expected."
The activation of the Profession System is the same as the Secondary Profession; it's impossible to datafy all combat professions directly.
Kana still had to select one or two paths like activating a secondary profession, and it had to be ones he knew.
The more familiar he was, with a complete impression of the Profession System in mind, the more perfect the constructed system would be.
Fortunately, Kana wasn't the type to only play one account. As a seasoned player, whether to experience skills or to undertake exclusive storyline tasks for various races, he had created many accounts of other professions.
And one fragment could only construct two profession paths for him.
There's a conflict, because his own profession couldn't be widely adopted.
With this thought, Kana began to take a deep breath, preparing to attempt a vague communication with the world's consciousness through the fragment of the Stone of Creation.
A few seconds later, he opened his eyes, gasping for breath.
This time he was in control, unlike the last time when the headache was unbearable; he could only feel a slight prickling in his head, which was still manageable.
