Chapter 15: Test ended (15)
The fights continue after that. Minato was eliminated by one of the Hyuga brothers, so now no civilian was in the fight and all of the Uchiha were gone from the list.
Hizashi, when he had to fight Hiashi, decided to throw the match.
Which was understandable. Hiashi was most likely the heir since he could show his forehead so proudly, while Hizashi had something blocking his forehead.
So in the final, he had to face Hiashi.
Seijuro thought of the pros and cons of this fight, and to be fair, he felt like he had done enough. He had been acting winded a while back.
As if to show that he was reaching his limits.
As they entered the arena, he would take a deep breath, sweat clearly on his body.
He looked winded... to be fair, the teacher didn't bat an eye at that. He was a Kurama; they were not known for their vitality.
The fact that he could make it to the final at all spoke volumes of his strength.
"Hajime," the man would say.
Hiashi would rush at him, using the Gentle Fist to try and shut down his Tenketsu points. Using his wooden kunai, he would block all attempts at his Tenketsu points being struck.
He would launch a kick at Seijuro; the boy would parry the attack to the left, opening his chest up.
Using this chance, Hiashi would punch the boy in the chest.
Hiashi would show mild discomfort.
The man would go on the offensive.
THUD
Seijuro would groan a bit; he would feel himself lose control of his left arm.
Yes, his Tenketsu point had been shut.
Mentally, Seijuro was thinking to himself:
Hm, so this how it feels to have your Tenketsu points forcefully closed. I cannot expand chakra from this part of my body. My chakra reserves are too low to overload it, and if I did, I cannot guarantee that I will come out unscathed. Tenketsu are very delicate, and I do not want to break them.
He would now only use his right hand—yes, with only his right hand and his legs, he would begin pushing the boy back a bit, you know, putting up a fragment of a fight.
Blocking wasted too much time. It was now just dodging or parrying.
As Hiashi threw him in the air, Seijuro would hide his kunai inside his sleeve.
Then rushed at the boy and started throwing hands... not hands—his left hand was just chilling, not healed properly.
He would launch a punch... an overhead punch.
While mid-swing, he would see a smile on Hiashi's face.
Thud
The veins around the boy's eyes would disappear. Hm.
His arm went limp; he didn't even finish the punching motion before his arm fell limp.
"Give it up. When faced with the Hyuga Clan Gentle Fist, defeat is the only option."
Hiashi seemed rather arrogant.
"Well, I gave it my best," Seijuro would say with a smile.
Before Hiashi could say anything, a kunai fell on his head. {Genjutsu}
Before falling on the floor.
The boy stood frozen, gazing at the wooden kunai on the floor.
When? That would be the boy's thought. When did he have time to throw the kunai?
His mind would begin to work super fast.
He remembered when Seijuro had thrown that punch—it was a feint. But... he should have seen it. He should have seen it. {Yes, it's repeated to show his shock.}
His Byakugan was activated. Why did he not see it?
"I forfeit," would be the words to come out of Hiashi's mouth.
"Heh? He is clearly winning. Why did he forfeit? The Kurama barely has any chakra left and has no use of his hand," a civilian kid would say.
Why was the clan heir of the Hyuga Clan forfeiting against Seijuro?
Mentally, Seijuro was scolding himself.
Damn it, you just had to show off.
He wanted to throw the fight, but the mere thought of lowering his IQ to make a clan kid feel better didn't sit right with him.
He could have ended this fight 100 different ways with his Genjutsu or his tricks, yet he didn't. There were multiple chances to do so.
Yet he had refused. But here he was, putting a light Genjutsu on his kunai in order to trick the Byakugan.
It wasn't anything really major, just making it invisible to him for a bit. Sure, the Byakugan should have been very good with illusion and all that stuff, but that only applied to external stuff. What would it do if the Genjutsu just targeted his brain—straight to his senses?
Sure, if Hizashi had his Byakugan on, he would see his brother was under a Genjutsu, or if Hiashi looked at himself, he would see that he was under a Genjutsu—but in the middle of a fight?
Who had time for that?
And for those wondering, wouldn't he get disqualified for that? He's using a jutsu—no. He was using a Kekkei Genkai, his clan's bloodline ability, one specific to the Kurama Clan, one that only Kurama Clan members could inherit.
I.e., if Hiashi could use his Byakugan, Seijuro could use his Genjutsu, which to be fair, if allowed to use it, he would beat Renji.
High diff, but a win against a Chunin as a 9-year-old Academy Student was not something everyone could say they could do.
Hiashi would do the reconciliation sign.
"Next time we do fight, I will defeat you... Seijuro Kurama."
Hm. Seijuro felt like he was becoming the target that all the clan prodigies wanted to beat.
Hm.
He gave an eye smile. He started feeling some feeling in his arm.
Okay.
He won.
