Chapter 378: Don't Mess With The Gordons 3....
"Ohh my... Arthur just knocked out that Mage from the Royal Mage Academy, Finally, someone from the War God Mage Academy has won, Go spread the news fast."
Several mages who were idling around couldn't wait to spread the news that one of their academy new generation members had defeated a member from the visiting academy.
It was a way of proving that the mages from the Royal Mage Academy were not invincible and could be defeated.
They dispersed, heading to different locations to spread the word quickly.
Just as Arthur finished speaking, he noticed that the remaining mages were walking towards him.
He smirked and folded his hands, straightening his back as he stared at them, trying to act intimidating.
"You do know you're dead, right? You are..."
One of the mages close to lucky started speaking angrily, but Lucky raised his hand again, silencing the mage almost instantly.
"Who are you?, Are you Alec Gordons?" Lucky asked, his eyes locked with Arthur's.
The information they had gathered suggested that Alec was a Tier 2 Mage the last time he was in the capital.
Arthur's display of power showed that he was only a peak Tier 2 Mage, defeating a low Tier 3 Mage from the Royal Mage Academy was enough to show he was talented just like their senior Iver Dragonmir described.
Lucky was trying to link Arthur to Alec and see if he was the one they had been waiting for, However, instead of Arthur answering, Kelvin burst into laughter, drawing Lucky's attention.
"I can't believe it, Someone is actually linking you to the boss, What a drag!" Kelvin exclaimed, pointing at Arthur, who sneered in response to Kelvin's teasing.
"I am not Alec Gordons. I'm Arthur Gordons, from another branch of the Gordons clan, now what exactly do you want with our young master?, It's clear that you have some intentions regarding my boss," Arthur turned back towards Lucky and said.
As he pretended not to notice the large number of mages behind lucky ,acting ready to attack if he made any suspicious moves.
"Ohhh, I see, You are related to that cowardly person!" the mage closest to Lucky talked again.
"Excuse me? Come again!" Arthur replied almost instantly, feeling like he must be dreaming to have heard someone disrespect Alec in front of him.
"He has been hiding all this while right?, We sent a challenge to all the new generation of your academy, but even though they call him the Rookie king, he has not shown any qualities of being their leader in the slightest," the mage continued.
"He is someone who didn't dare show his face even when we defeated almost all the mages from your academy, If he's not a coward, then what is he?" the mage challenged again.
But no matter what the mage said, Arthur wasn't even listening to him again after confirming that he was disrespecting Alec.
His head was already brimming with anger, without even saying anything back, he moved in a bid to close the distance between them.
Arthur stretched out his left hand, aiming to grab the mage's face.
However, Lucky intervened by grabbing Arthur's left hand, Arthur didn't even flinch, as if he had been anticipating the move.
He twisted his left arm, gripping Lucky completely and successfully putting him in a lock.
Before they could comprehend what was happening, Arthur had struck again by sending a punch straight at the mage's face with his free right hand.
However, the mage quickly reacted by raising his hand and casting a small, compressed water shield that contained the force of Arthur's punch.
"Why do you always strike at the face?, Don't you know the basic rule when fighting?, The face is the main card,"
The mage taunted as he moved back not wanting the sadistic Arthur to ruin his face as he did the first guy that had his nose broken, he took a battle stance, spreading his hands wide and conjuring water droplets around him.
Meanwhile, Lucky had already cast a lightning spell with his right hand, the one that Arthur had put in a lock.
And Blue lightning passed through his hands and spread towards Arthur's left hand.
At the same time, he kicked Arthur in the chest, causing him to stagger back.
"Ugh," Arthur groaned in pain, using his right hand to gently touch his chest, He looked at his left hand, which had also been injured and charred black.
His hand was completely numb, and he couldn't feel any sensation in it, Frowning, he looked up at the group of mages from the War God Mage Academy.
"I still don't understand why you're all obstructing my path, But if you move out of the way now, I'll forget any of this ever happened," Arthur said.
"You still have the guts to threaten us?, after knocking out one of us, Die!" the mage next to Lucky shouted in anger.
[> Low Tier Spell - Water Bomb <]
The mage compressed the water droplets around him, creating three enormous water balls.
He swung his hands towards Arthur, sending the water bombs flying towards him.
[> Low Tier Spell - Metal Shield <]
Arthur cast a huge round metal shield in response to the water bomb headed his way, as he braced himself for the impact of the attack.
However, he had miscalculated, The water bombs didn't just hit the shield; they exploded upon impact.
With three water bombs striking together, Arthur was sent flying before slamming onto the ground.
"Arthur!" Kelvin shouted as he ran towards Arthur to help him, But suddenly, Lucky appeared in front of Kelvin, striking his neck and sending him crashing into the ground.
Blood spilled from Kelvin's mouth, Seeing this enraged Arthur, who tried dashing towards Kelvin's location.
But before he could reach Kelvin, the water mage intercepted him.
"I accept your challenge. I am your opponent," the water mage declared, sending two more water bombs flying towards Arthur.
"Get the fuck out of my sight!, which challenge are you talking about? " Arthur shouted, raising both hands and sending out fast-rotating earth spears to collide with the water bombs, causing them to explode mid-air before they could reach him.
He then ducked beneath the explosive torrent and then delivered an uppercut to the water mage, lifting him up before jumping to meet him in mid-air and gripping his hands around his neck, performing an R.K.O.
He slammed the water mage down, grunting as he stood back up with difficulty.
He had just knocked out another mage and was about to rush towards Kelvin, who lay on the ground bleeding from his head and not moving.
But even though he had managed to eliminate two Tier 3 mages, there were still fifteen more blocking his path to Lucky, making it difficult for him to reach Kelvin quickly.
"I said you should all get out of my way!" Arthur shouted as he charged at them without hesitation, conjuring two bright metal swords as he ran towards the group of fifteen mages.
Even with one hand charred and numb from Lucky's first attack, he pressed on.
"Such a futile struggle. You are still nothing compared to us mages of the Royal Mage Academy," Lucky sneered, seeming to disappear from Arthur's view again.
But suddenly, he reappeared in front of Arthur, delivering a powerful blow to his stomach, causing the conjured swords to break into particles of metal elements, Arthur winced in pain, clutching his stomach.
"Now kneel!" Lucky commanded, raising his leg high, The tip of his boot sparked with lightning element before he forcefully slammed it down on Arthur's head, hoping to make him kneel.
Arthur fell unconscious, but even in his unconscious state, his hands remained covering his knees.
His hand was badly bruised from the impact of being slammed onto the ground. Read latest stories on My Virtual Library Empire
But even till the end he still refused to kneel to Lucky, Lucky frowned as he looked at Arthur before turning his back.
"Let the mages of the War God Mage Academy carry them, I believe with this, we should be able to send a clear message to the one called Alec... If he still doesn't show up, even after his brother is defeated,"
" then we can conclude that this whole academy lacks a decent person to lead them during the inter-academy competition and that Mr Bolton lied about a threat being here for personal reasons," Lucky said as he strolled away.
