The Hero of Hypnosis

Chapter 116: Trafficking

Kai lied. He was a liar. A big fat liar. He didn't stop at 9 more quests to build synergy, no, he continued his "team bonding" quests for the whole week, making his girls take on ten A-Rank Quests a day for 7 days straight. All of this was in the name of building synergy.

His girls understood his intentions and were glad that he was taking the time to help them out while also building up their Party quest resume, which would allow them to rank up sooner. But it was pure torture taking on so many difficult quests without Kai's help.

"That's it! You got this, girls! Push it! You're at the final stretch!" Kai shouted, his encouragement pissing off his girls even more than they were.

"AHHHHHHHHHH!!!" Amaya slashed her sword vertically, cleanly cutting a wyvern in half. That's right, she was able to kill a wyvern now.

Kai's synergy-building exercise didn't just help them work better together, but it also made them stronger. This and him adding points to their stats as well. Currently, all of them, besides Sasha, were A-Rank adventurers now, sitting comfortably at Tier-6 in their strength.

Because of this, Kai was able to increase their stats even more since the stronger they were, the more points they could handle; however, he opted not to push their body that far, wanting them to get comfortable with their new power.

They didn't have a perfect body like he did, so they needed to control their power on their own, unlike Kai, since his body would do it for him naturally.

"Good job, all of you. I'm so proud!" He hugged all of them, kissing them on the lips.

They didn't say anything. Not only were they tired, but they were also upset with him for making them go through something so tough.

Fighting the monsters wasn't the problem; it was fighting them back to back with barely any rest.

"So, who want's to have sex?" He asked, his smile so wide it almost escaped his face. For the past week, he didn't have sex with any of them, and that made Gwen, Sasha, and Amaya really cranky. Especially when they heard him rearranging his sister's guts.

"Fuck off," Gwen growled.

"Yeah. I'm tired. Let's do it another time."

"I want a drink."

"I want to shower."

"I-I'm with them."

Truthfully, they weren't mad at him, just extremely tired, sex deprived, and they wanted to get some revenge against him.

"O-Oh. That's fine, I guess." Kai put on a sad face and returned to the carriage.

During the week, Kai wasn't just watching them fight. He also trained, hunted, and slayed monsters as well, racking up some points that he would not only save, but use on his girls.

In his eyes, it was a very productive week, and he was glad that he had them work together and get to know each other, because what they didn't know was that their next quest was to get Kyana's revenge.

---

Two days later, after giving his girls some time off, they went to the guild to take on their next quest. They assumed Kai would put them through some more synergy training, but they were surprised when he took on a different quest instead.

"Ahh, so you wish to take on the human trafficking quest? Okay, let me just confirm this." The receptionist said, filling out some documents.

Kai looked at the sheet of paper and noticed that it only had two red marks on it. "It doesn't seem like anyone is taking on this quest. May I ask why that is?"

When a quest has a red mark, that means that someone failed the quest, and it was put back on the board for another person to take on. This meant that two other people failed this quest.

"W-Well, no one really likes to deal with traffickers because the risk is high. People would rather lose their lives fighting a monster than risk becoming a slave." The woman informed him.

"But forcing someone into slavery is illegal. Couldn't the person just say that they weren't a slave?" He asked.

The woman nodded. "They can, but most times, it doesn't go anywhere. Slave traders are bought off, bribed, and they forge documents that force a person into slavery. It's pretty difficult to determine who's a slave legally and illegally. The royal intelligence unit also doesn't care to learn who's there legally."

"Cruel world." He muttered.

"Indeed. Anyway, everything is sorted out and you're ready to go."

"Sweet. Thanks for your time. Let's go, girls."

After leaving the guild, they immediately left the city.

"Kai, why are we leaving the city. Shouldn't we investigate here first?" Kyana asked. She knew that there were traffickers in the city and wanted to bust them.

"We'll do that last. The traffickers in the city can't casually rip someone off the street and sell them off. People will get suspicious. This means that they are getting their supply of illegal slaves elsewhere, and the last spotted location of traffickers was here, in Crestfield Town."

"Oh, great. That place." Kyana grumbled, holding her arm.

Gwen noticed this and placed her hand on Kyana's back. "What's wrong?"

"That's the place where my former Party and I accepted the trafficking quest. That place brings back horrible memories."

"Don't worry. You're with us now, and you're stronger than you were last time. Nothing will happen to you." Amaya smiled, holding her biceps as she flexed her muscles.

"Haha, thanks. That made me feel better."

"Since that was the place where you accepted this quest, then this means that there should still be people there who have ties to the traffickers. With you here, it will be easy to spot them and round them up. This way, we can strike at their main base." Kai spoke,

"Yeah, there are a few heads I want to put an arrow in."

"Oh, that, you will, without a doubt. Judging by how you ended up in Vaudrille, they must have supply routes, connections, and a shit ton of money coming in. I doubt that they would want that to stop, so a fight will most definitely break out."
