Chapter 1: A new world, a new prisoner
Chapter 1: From Earth to Big Mom's Hell
Yuta Takahashi never imagined he'd die at 17. His life on Earth had been an unremarkable one, weighed down by the crushing weight of depression. Standing at 6 feet tall, Yuta had once had potential—a potential that was buried under layers of unhealthiness. His broad shoulders and muscular frame, once shaped by his days as a kid who dabbled in boxing, were now hidden under a layer of excess weight. His messy light brown hair was often in his eyes, adding to the untidy look he hated, but had never bothered to change. His green eyes—once sharp and bright with ambition—had long since dulled. He didn't see a future for himself. He didn't see a reason to try.
When he was younger, he'd taken up boxing as a hobby. He had a natural talent, quick with his feet and a solid punch. His coach had always praised his form, but after years of neglecting his fitness and self-worth, the boxing gloves were buried in the back of a closet, collecting dust. Yuta's once-lean body was now overweight, tired, and sluggish. The energy he had once felt was drained by depression, and the spark that had once driven him to improve was nearly extinguished.
Still, over the last few months of his life, Yuta had started to change—just a little. He forced himself to go to the gym. It wasn't easy, and he felt out of place, but he had begun to feel something stir in him again. He wasn't the same confident kid who had boxed as a child, but he was fighting—fighting to be someone better. Even if it felt like a slow and painful climb, at least he was climbing.
And then, one day, that fight was taken from him. A plane, spiraling out of control, crashed into the street where Yuta had been standing. He didn't even have time to scream. His life ended in an instant.
