Lily sat at her desk, laptop open in front of her as she navigated through the online course registration portal. Her sharp blue eye were so focused .
She had decided to take a chance and apply for an online class, hoping to further her education and pursue her dreams while still on her business if she inform her parents of this they'll be so happy.
As she filled out the application form, Lily felt a sense of excitement and nervousness. What if she wasn't able to keep up with the coursework? What if she struggled to balance her business and studies?
Despite her doubts, Lily was determined to take a chance for herself and family and see where this opportunity would take her. She submitted her application and waited anxiously for a response.
She decided to buy some textbooks and reading material for her course tomorrow so she can prepare herself before she's accepted.
Back to Peony's office that morning:
Kyle and his team's fingers flew across the keyboard, their eyes fixed on the screens as they worked their magic. Files began to open, and data streamed across the monitors, revealing a web of information that only a skilled hacker could uncover. They worked with precision, their movements economical and deliberate.
As they dug deeper, a look of intrigue crossed their face. Peony's trail led to a labyrinth of shell companies and encrypted files, but Kyle and his team was no stranger to such puzzles.
With a few more keystrokes, they uncovered a name: The Phoneix
The figure's eyes narrowed. The Phoenix? who was this Phoneix person and what does Peony have with this person? The pieces were starting to fall into place, and a plan began to form in order to get to the detail of this person.
With a satisfied smile, the Kyle leaned back, looking at the screen his eyes gleaming with anticipation. "This just got interesting," He whispered to himself.
The screens flickered, and the Kyle's eyes moved to the clock. Peony would be back any time soon , they know this because one of their member who followed her had just informed them,Kyle knew they had to move quickly. Kyle and his team began to pack up their gear, their movement were calm as they did everything smoothly.
As they slipped out of the office, they felt a thrill of excitement. The game had just changed and the mission was interesting ,.
Kyle thought of informing his boss on this new information, but he'll do that later in the evening ,after he has gotten enough information.
At the redwoods estate:
As Alexander was working unstop in the study room even since he came back he he has sucked himself in his work as he was also thinking of alot of things.
This got his mom so worried that she comes every now and then to check on him. In the room Mrs. Lauretta looked at Mr. Rowel intensively.
Mr. Rowel pretended not to know this as he read in papers, getting tired of her ,he just sighed and looked at her.
"What is it my lovely dove?" He dropped his glasses on the side table.
"Why can't you go talk to him , He has been working non stop since that night he came back ...look it's 8:30pm" Mrs. Lauretta pointed out to him.
Mr. Rowel sighed " Dear Alex is grown ,you need to realize he's not a child but a Man who has prominent companies, industries in his head ,you have to be more patient, hasn't he eaten?"
Mrs. Lauretta dressed to the bed adjusting her night wear " he has but isn't it too much?"
" Do you know you also work like him?"
" I do" Mrs. Lauretta was surprised
Mr. Rowel chuckled as he looked patiently into her green eyes" yes dear when you just discover something interesting "
" Well..."she pondered for some time then said " that's because I'm married...yes ...if we collided with that Hawthorne girl's family we could make a arrangement in no time dear ...he needs a woman to take care of him ...what if he leaves home next week?...You can't tell me it will be the maids telling him to stop working? Mrs. Lauretta said shaking her husband's hand
Mr. Rowel thought if it for a while then agreed "I agree to you dove but you know we must tell him first then she can inform the Hawthorne for a dinner"
Mrs. Lauretta smiled happily but then she pouted her lips.
" What is it dove?"Mr. Rowel lightly poked her cheeks finding her cute and beautiful as always.
" Well Alex is a bit distant with us I'm going to ask for Mary's help" with that she left the room.
Meanwhile, Mary was in her room, she was in her night gown letting her hair down as she looked at the window thinking about her own life and relationships ,she just finished talking with Kevin. Yes he is her fiancé, but she wasn't sure if she was truly in love with him. She was more focused on her own career and ambitions.
As she was thinking, she heard a knock on the door. It was her mother "come in Mom" she adjusted her position.
"Mother, what's wrong?" Mary asked, looking at her mother who was having a worried face.
"Nothing's wrong, dear," Mrs. Lauretta said. She sat on Mary's bed "I just wanted to talk to you about Alexander. He's been working so hard lately, I'm afraid He's a workaholic and I was thinking that maybe if he had a woman in his life he'll be more attentive , I'm thinking my mother didn't teach him how to love."
Mary listened as her mother and laughed at her mother's end comment " oh mother you're so funny ". She was happy to hear that her mother was thinking about Alexander's well-being.
"That sounds like a great idea, Mother," Mary said. " I also think so Mom so what's your plan on the woman thing "Mary looked at her beautiful mother.
" Oh I was just thinking of inviting the Hawthorne, that girl will be good"
Mary was puzzled" you mean , Lily Hawthorne, mom she's too young and doesn't know anything about running companies " Mary said.
But Mrs. Lauretta rebuked" don't you say that I want nothing but happiness for my son plus he can nurture a love with her ,catch them young plus I don't want that type of woman that will be chasing money and leaving my son behind, intelligence in business for a woman can crumble a marriage but that Lily girl is good in her own way"
" Mom you barely know her"Mary rolled her eyes at her mother and also agreeing with what she said, Lily is indeed a good match she could even see it that night.
" I don't care ,my intense never lies."Mrs. Lauretta raise her head proudly
Mary laughed once more then steadied herself " then why don't you tell him?"
That question made her mother sighed then explained which Mary nodded to in understanding.
"Ok I'll do it."
Mrs. Lauretta smiled. "I'm glad you you're help, dear. Thank you."
As Mrs. Lauretta left her room, Mary thought of what her mother said, she couldn't help but think about Alexander and his future. She hoped that he would find happiness, whether it was with Lily or someone else.
