The Lord Demon King is Unfathomable!

Chapter 247: Plague? Rebellion! (Part 3)

The front line is too distant for the Lord Demon King, but here is firmly under his control.

And now, those restless ones finally stepped up...

A little brother beside him watched the boss anxiously, his expression indecisive, and asked softly.

"Boss... What do we do now?"

Snick remained silent for a long time.

Suddenly, with a harsh and decisive voice, he shouted with a sharp tone.

"This is a premeditated conspiracy against the Lord of Black Wind Castle!"

The surroundings instantly fell silent.

Amazed eyes looked at him as if he were a monster.

Watching the astonished young comrades, Snick grabbed a goblin by the shoulder and yelled, spitting all around.

"No doubt, it's the Trade Union people! Those backstabbers poisoned our water supply! This is no plague! Go tell your neighbors, tell all goblins! Why are you all standing here? Get going!"

The goblins were startled by his roar, hurriedly scrambling and crawling towards the depths of the goblin community, passing the message to every goblin they met along the way.

Panic spread in the most densely populated area of Black Wind Castle, and its speed was no less than the spread of the "plague".

Meanwhile, Snick returned to the overturned carriage and, using all his strength, rang the bell hanging on the carriage.

Hearing the jingle, heads popped out from the goblin community, looking astonished at the direction of Snick.

Some were sick, some looked pale, some seemed weak... and some were just fine, obviously too poor to have drunk the contaminated water, or it just hasn't reached them yet.

Snick scanned the goblins present, then took a deep breath and climbed onto the top of the carriage in one go.

His fists clenched tightly, his previously sly, greedy eyes now burned with unprecedented anger.

"Everyone! Look at our brothers and sisters beside us! Look at our neighbors! Look at our fellow kin—those poor souls moaning painfully on the ground!"

His voice was like thunder, echoing in the narrow and crowded center of the community, making every goblin prick up their ears, fix their gaze on him, waiting for him to continue.

Without disappointing their expectations, Snick loudly roared with a booming voice.

"Someone says it's a plague! Ha, nonsense! Ask yourselves, why are we poor souls who drink rainwater fine, only those who drank from the pumps downed?!"

Of course, he recently hasn't been drinking rainwater, even used beer for gargling, but those details don't matter, heard Sawtooth Chamber of Commerce's boss even bathed in beer!

No one would jump out to debunk him at this moment.

Looking at those varied eyes, Snick roared on.

"This isn't a plague! Someone poisoned our water supply!!"

As he finished speaking, there was an uproar among the goblins.

The statement was like a lit torch, instantly igniting the emotions in the goblins' hearts.

"Someone poisoned the water!?"

"Who was it?! Who did it?!"

"Damn! Must be those Hell Dwarves... Recently there's a Hell Dwarf living near our community, I never trust him!"

"Could it be a human spy? Those... Adventurers?"

"Adventurers?! Here? What nonsense are you talking about! I say it's the Trade Union—"

"That's right!"

Finally hearing the desired response, Snick waved sharply, calming the restless crowd. A cold smile curled at his lips, speaking in a low voice: "You're right, it's the Trade Union! Those who share our blood yet suck at our marrow!"

Dead silence enveloped the scene, all goblin eyes were fixed on Snick, waiting for his explanation.

Snick took a heavy breath, then began speaking with a deep voice, as if he had personally experienced the conspiracy.

"Last night, I was patrolling near our pump and saw a sneaky figure. He wore silk clothes only Demon City nobles have, held something in his hand, sneakily pouring it into the water!"

He swung his fist suddenly, the anger on his face almost turning into tangible flames: "At first, I thought it was some idiot stealing water, but now it seems he was harming us!"

The goblins' breathing quickened as anger boiled in their hearts, the fear with nowhere to vent finally metamorphosing into raging fire.

Snick continued to roar.

"Who would poison our community? Me? Or you? Could it be those dwarves with whom we have nothing to do? They have no reason to do so! Only those guys... Those who don't live on the same street with us, yet wear the same skin as goblins! You know who I mean, it's them!"

"Those damn chambers! Selfish maggots! They don't want to see us goblins living a good life! Do you all remember what life was like before the Lord Demon King came here? Our homes soaked in puddles unattended, dead ones rotting in the streets, those guys wouldn't give us a glance!"
