The Lord Demon King is Unfathomable!

Chapter 247: Plague? Rebellion! (Part 4)

"And now, we have jobs! We have wine to drink! We can earn money, eat hot meals, and no longer have to scavenge for food in the garbage!"

"But these damned parasites, they are jealous! They can't stand that we live better than them! They raise prices, steal our wages, manipulate the market...use every possible means to torture us, even poison the water, wanting us dead!"

Snick extended his hand, pointing fiercely towards the district standing tall in the night. It was the site of various trades, and the only street in Black Wind Castle that stood in stark contrast to the surrounding atmosphere, much like Queen Street in Thunder City.

The buildings there towered high and shone brilliantly, far surpassing the dilapidated shacks of the Goblin community.

"...And they themselves live in spacious houses, sleep in soft beds, drink the finest wine, eat the most delicious meat, and manipulate tea and tobacco bought from the human territories... This is their mercy! This is their attitude towards us! Plague? They seem to be doing perfectly fine!"

The crowd was completely boiling over.

The goblins' eyes burned with the flames of anger, their hands instinctively clenched into fists, and teeth ground tightly. Some timid and cowardly individuals sneaked out to report to the guards, yet those guards upon receiving the report said nothing, merely watched quietly from a distance, waiting for it to continue fermenting.

Snick clenched his fists, his voice growing more impassioned, assigning infractions real or imagined to those fellows just to see the flames burn brighter and brighter.

"...Those parasites of the Trade Union, they've forgotten they too are goblins, forgotten their loyalty to Lord Demon King! They deal with those demons eyed upon us, cozy up to the humans on the surface! They use us as tools, they want us to be their cattle and horses forever, they just want us to bow our heads forever! Drink foul water forever! Eat garbage forever! Now they even want our lives!"

"Enough is enough!"

Snick's voice exploded like thunder.

He slowly scanned the crowd, his eyes cold, voice deep yet indomitably firm.

"My compatriots, we can no longer endure! Today they poison our water, tomorrow they'll dare to cut off our food supplies! The day after, they'll dare to step over our corpses to climb even higher!"

"We must settle accounts with them! Let those traitorous scum pay the price for betraying the goblins!"

"We need to make them understand—we are not slaves they can manipulate at will!"

"We must make them see—that under the protection of Lord Demon King, goblins are no longer the lowest creatures of the Underworld!"

"We must fight back!"

His voice, like erupting magma, ignited the anger in every goblin's heart.

A goblin suddenly raised his fist, shouting hoarsely.

"Damn the Trade Union!"

"Kill those scum!"

"They poison our water, we'll drink their blood!"

"Awoooo!"

The roar of anger rose and fell, converging into a deafening frenzy, sweeping through the entire Goblin community.

This long-accumulated powder keg exploded into a sky full of fireworks the instant it met a spark.

Snick stood calmly on a dilapidated cart, watching this scene unfold, bidding farewell to the wave sweeping towards the district of the Trade Union with a victorious smile on his lips.

As expected, the Demon King's guards never appeared from beginning to end.

It seems his conjecture was correct, this was precisely what Lord Demon King wished for him to do—to play the role of a mad dog tenaciously biting the enemy.

Perhaps he would lose a few teeth, but surely he could scrape off a few pieces of flesh from their legs.

Plague?

This is rebellion!

And no doubt, it was the Dragon family-directed Trade Union that took the first move...
