Chapter 534: Chapter 534: Godspawn
"So you're saying this Beast God had a child with a female Frost Giant?" Muria pursed his lips, imagining a massive snow leopard with a rugged female Frost Giant... The image was too much. He shook his head, refusing to think further.
"This should be considered a Godspawn."
"Yes, Sinbad seemed to have consumed a lot of power for this child's birth. During that time, I never saw it or its avatar leave the Divine Realm."
"A Godspawn, how generous!" Muria rubbed his chin. Gods, being on par with epics, normally cannot have offspring. Their level of existence is the highest, with immortality as a standard feature. Without external interference, they can live indefinitely.
However, nothing is absolute. At the level of gods and epics, as long as they are willing, there's almost nothing they can't achieve, including the offspring issue that often troubles legends.
Epics and gods can have offspring if they are willing to permanently lose a portion of their power. But most gods and epics don't do this because their power is hard-won. With eternal life already secured, offspring seem unnecessary.
Still, nothing is absolute. Sometimes, for various reasons, gods will combine. After all, even gods have emotions.
Due to their high level of existence and immense power, they create beings that shouldn't exist—Godspawn. But this had nothing to do with Muria; under normal circumstances, he wouldn't encounter such beings that even gods dread and loathe.
Gods, in essence, are intangible beings. Their appearance depends on their own perception. Human gods look human because they were human before becoming gods. If they wish, they can take on beast forms, even plant forms, all based on their perception.
Therefore, a god can have multiple forms. Most of these forms are compromises for faith, changing to meet their followers' desires.
So, when gods combine and, by some coincidence, have offspring, the result can be anything. For instance, two human gods might produce a three-headed, six-armed monstrosity.
However, as long as these offspring inherit some of their parents' power and have clear minds, they qualify as Godspawn. Typically, Godspawn resemble their parents' forms before becoming gods or their common forms, not appearing too strange.
"I heard about this three hundred years ago, but I still can't fully confirm this Godspawn's existence because I've never seen it."
"In such a long time, you couldn't confirm if a Godspawn exists?" Muria looked at the God of Frost Ravens with disdain. Three hundred years without verifying such crucial information. A Godspawn can significantly impact forces below the empire level.
"Don't blame me. Israel seems to treat this possibly non-existent offspring not as a leader but as a weapon. It's only awakened to solve problems when its worshipping Frost Giant tribe faces unsolvable issues."
"So, every creature that saw this Godspawn died, making you unable to confirm its existence?" Muria looked at the large white raven before him, not wanting to touch it. Its wings looked cold and hard, like cast iron, the opposite of the Wolf God's fur.
"Exactly!"
"What's your source for this information?"
"After collecting some data, I deduced it."
"So, it's just your guess."
"It's a well-founded deduction, not baseless speculation," corrected the God of Frost Ravens, Israel. "Of course, my deduction lacks conclusive evidence, so you can choose to ignore it."
"This is useful. At least it makes me more cautious." Muria smiled, a hint of anticipation in his eyes. He hoped this Beast God had indeed invested heavily to create a Godspawn. In Erathia, they are the only ones who could potentially match Titans before reaching epic status.
"Stop, Titan. You can go no further."
Despite knowing there might be a Godspawn waiting ahead, Muria moved forward alone, unafraid. This confidence came from his belief in his power.
However, before reaching the splinter tribe of the Snow Leopard Clan, Muria encountered an unexpected situation. A group of snow-white, muscular leopards blocked his path.
"Move!"
Without pausing, Muria shouted. Visible sound waves spread from his mouth, instantly shattering nearby icebergs into fragments. Most of the blocking leopards, the strongest being only at the gold level, fell immediately, blood spilling from their noses and mouths, staining the ice red.
"Is this how you Titans behave? Attacking without question or distinction." Space rippled, and a massive snow leopard, accompanied by four equally powerful kin, appeared, blocking Muria's path.
"A group of gold-level leopards dared to command a legendary Titan to stop. Such foolish behavior. The fact they are alive now is proof of my mercy, not a reason to accuse me."
Muria stopped, looking at the gigantic snow leopard before him. Adult snow leopards normally don't exceed ten meters in size, but this one was at least a hundred meters long, excluding its tail.
A normal snow leopard can't reach this size, not even a legendary one. Only power beyond legends could create such an anomaly.
"This Frost Raven had already confirmed it but chose to speak so vaguely." Muria thought as he looked at the snow leopard before him.
