Chapter 537: Chapter 537: Decapitation
"Splurt!" A stream of pale blue blood, radiating a chilling aura, splashed through the air. The Leopard Godspawn looked in shock at its severed left claw, staring in disbelief at the Seven Sins Blade in Muria's hand. "Another legendary weapon?" it thought, "How could this be? Even a Titan wouldn't pamper their child this much."
"This is the second time you've hesitated in front of me. You're really disgracing the entire Godspawn lineage," Muria mocked coldly as he swung the Seven Sins Blade to sever the claw reaching for him. He followed up with a powerful kick to the Leopard Godspawn's abdomen.
"Bang!" The legendary armor-clad foot connected, and the flesh beneath it collapsed and shattered. Bones and meat blended with blood into a mashed pulp.
But that wasn't the end. The Spear of Sun Chaser, which Muria had thrown but had yet to catch up to the Leopard Godspawn, finally reached its target. With the power to tear through space, it pierced through the creature's chest, entering from its back and exiting through its chest, carrying blood, flesh, and bone fragments with it. A gaping wound nearly splitting the Godspawn's body in half appeared.
At that moment, the Leopard Godspawn suffered an unprecedented injury, appearing incredibly tragic. It let out an agonized, furious roar, filled with intense resentment.
"How can you have a second legendary weapon?" Its body, rapidly regenerating the damaged flesh and mending the tissues torn by the Spear of Sun Chaser, fixed its pale gold eyes on Muria with unrelenting intensity.
"And why not have a second one?" Muria replied with a lighthearted tone, almost as if showing off. The Demon Slayer Sword appeared in his other hand. "Moreover, I have more than two legendary weapons, big cat. Your poverty limits your imagination and affects your combat capabilities. I suggest you leave this subcontinent if you ever get the chance and broaden your narrow horizons."
"Roar!" Hearing Muria compare him to an ignorant bumpkin, the Leopard Godspawn's gaze turned even icier, and a faint killing intent spread through the air. It resolved that, against its father's warning, it must kill this guy in front of it. This Titan was just too wealthy. As for the consequences, let his father handle them.
"Titan, you will die today. A few legendary weapons don't determine the outcome."
"Maybe I'll fall someday, but it won't be at the hands of a pauper like you," Muria retorted with a smirk. At his will, star chains spread out, extending infinitely from his position to form a spherical sealing space. Any creature entering without Muria's consent would be suppressed, much like a weaker version of a divine realm's restriction.
The Leopard Godspawn, deeply provoked by Muria's taunts and the display of weapon after weapon, was burning with envy. It wished to kill Muria immediately and claim all his armaments.
The real legendary battle began. Despite the Leopard Godspawn's awareness and wariness of Muria's legendary weapons, it proved difficult to deal with. The Godspawn's combat prowess was equivalent to that of a Titan of higher rank, albeit without equivalent armaments.
Weapons formed from ice, such as spears, arrows, and swords, continuously shot toward Muria, some enhanced with the Godspawn's unique ice enchantments. These weapons easily penetrated Muria's outer layer of dragonfire defense and struck him directly.
While they couldn't breach the defense of the Holy Radiance Abyss, they did cause Muria to feel his blood surge and a sense of discomfort. The Holy Radiance Abyss wasn't omnipotent; it couldn't block all damage. However, even so, it was sufficient.
At least, with Muria's current legendary physique, no legendary being could instantly kill him unless they were of epic rank. He was immune to all sorts of flashy curses and death spells. In direct combat, the Holy Radiance Abyss could block over ninety percent of the damage, leaving Muria to handle the rest himself.
"Boom!" "Bang!" Even from several kilometers away, the energy blasts from the battle between Muria and the Leopard Godspawn were clearly visible. The clouds in the area were entirely dispersed, and their attacks caused the ground to tremble slightly. This was an extraordinarily intense clash, even by legendary standards.
---
"Wow, they've really clashed. This is one fierce battle," commented Israel, the God of Frost Ravens, with great interest as he watched the fight from the Frost Wolf God's divine realm.
"If we had faced these two before ascending to godhood, it seems none of us would have stood a chance against them," Israel mused, comparing his pre-divinity strength to what he now observed.
"Why did you, knowing for sure about Sinbad's existence, tell the Titan it was just your speculation?" the Wolf God, Eskar, questioned, not engaging in Israel's playful chatter.
"Because I was worried that Sinbad, like us, would yield immediately upon facing the Titan. If I had spoken confidently and Sinbad never appeared, wouldn't that have been embarrassing? But Sinbad has more backbone than I thought. After I informed him, he decisively sent his strongest force to intercept this Muria."
"What you did..."
"I merely fulfilled my duty as a member of the Beast God Alliance. I didn't do anything wrong. To the Titan, it just brings his inevitable confrontation a bit sooner. No major impact.
Oh, by the way, how do you see the outcome of this battle? Want to bet before it's decided?"
"I bet on the Titan winning," the Frost Wolf God replied, glancing at his companion without any emotional inflection.
"I wanted to bet on the Titan too. That makes it no fun."
---
"I can't defeat this Titan!" The Leopard Godspawn concluded bitterly after battling Muria for half a day. It couldn't break through the defense of the Holy Radiance Abyss.
Worse still, it realized that its strategy of becoming elemental and merging with the surrounding environment to wear Muria down with ice and snow no longer worked. After engaging Muria in close combat and being struck by several of his weapons, the Godspawn found it had nowhere to hide. Even blending into the snowstorm was futile; it had been locked onto.
"Splurt!" As the sun rose for the second time since the battle began, Muria swung the Demon Slayer Sword, decapitating the Leopard Godspawn, which had transformed into a frost giant. He then hurled the Seven Sins Blade, piercing through the still-defiant headless body and pinning it to an ice glacier that had formed from the combat upheaval.
